If you're taking too much damage, get a Zamorak trimmed rune skirt, see how that fairs out. Doesnt cost too much and no need to leave to fix it if you plan on staying a long time. If you have the money, go for a DFS like Death said. If you dont, honestly, dont bother. But a fury would help more than a DFS would :|

RobinHoodie makes great range guides. :o Broad bolts, rune crossbow. Depending on what tasks you have, it'd be easier to tank. So I will list a tanking AND safing set. Tanking: Black dragonhide body, Required helmet/Neiti or Archer (Archer is good! Nice attack and some defences) Barrows legs, Snakeskin boots, Barrows gloves > dragon gloves > black dhide [bleep]y vambs Accumulator, Ammo, Rune cbow, Granite shield (or if not REALLY needed tanking, go with a guthix/zammy book) Fury RoL/RoW/Archers ring for safing, Void range set, Bronze or Black knives (black are amazing, but bronze are apparently better) Accumulator, (I forget if Void needs boots.. If not, snakeskin obviously) Glory or Fury RoW Zammy book Obviously, archers ring doesnt really stack up against the RoW for good tasks. RoL for first time tanking tasks if you have a bit of trouble or are unlucky. I do advise to bring one Prayer potion every tanking task, it could be helpful. You might need to flick prayer, or pray to get out of a silly situation.

All I can say is, Parents are often douches. Yes Kent, people are stupid for playing runescape for fun, not for fame. How is flaming other people being efficient fun...? There were 2 parts I could've directed my comment to. I directed it to "DFS because it has higher strength, as well as Fighter torso where defense is required." Which means these people want to hit high for self pleasure. Although if you really want to take Slayer as a serious skill that is meant to be grinded, just go with the Whip and Rune defender combo. Dont have fun with high hits and people saying 'hey nice gs' ;)
