The ps3 will come out on top acording to gamespot.
Sycosis, stop the fanboyism. Everyone gets that you are the "anti-x-box", no need to continue to push your thoughts down peoples throats. As for the 360 standing only because of Halo 3, that its absolutely wrong. You obviously haven't seen Fable 2, Darksides, Prototype, or any of the other amazing games coming too the 360. I know I would rather buy the 360 for those 3 mentioned games then Halo 3. I'm not saying Halo isn't a good series, but other games far eclipse Halo. Ermmm, wouldn't it be age slower? Eitherway just because it has great software, doesn't mean that it will technologically pwnzor the other two. 360 still has the best chance for success.

The decline of Runescape, and how it effects Tip.It.
That wouldn't work, for players to realize they need to change mature players will have to tell them that what they are doing is wrong. While it won't work probably, its better then just ignoring the problem and letting it fester and grow.

There is more to a golden age then the community, though it still has a large effect. Personally I see that the golden age stopped once Runescape reached a stalemate, for every member that signs up one leaves. Right now I can see that going towards for every one member two leave. Powman, you have to remember that this post isn't about the content of updates, but rather about the community and its leeching attitude towards Fansites. But yes, the community can receive a sharp kick in the bahooky. lendel, I agree with you and won't comment on most of it. I do know I will get flamed, but thats part of bringing up a controversial subject. And until the moderators feel that this topic is getting out of hand and that it needs to be locked or I quit these forums I will defend my stances on this subject.

I don't forsee Ps3 winning, they will do well but I highly doubt they will win. Xbox 360 already has some awesome games in the making, namely Prototype, Halo 3, Darkside, and other good games I can't remember right now. For Ps3 to even have a chance of catching up on the 360 there line up is going to have to change, and the price is going to have to be cut drastically. Out of the people I know(adults and kids) none of them(even the fanboys) have that much money lying around to buy one. Also, they don't say why the Ps3 will win, just that it will win.

Ranarr's, who drops them?
Chaos druids, you can find them underneath Taverly dungeon which is west of Falador.

[hide] No, its not the same Runescape that it was 2+ years ago. Compared to the tales of classic we are in heading for open water with only enough gas too get halfway there. I bet it's not much diferent, and you just want to remember the good ol' days. I mean, I still had my acc scammed out of 2 years ago. Yea I was around rs 2+ years ago too, add about 200 autos to every world, everyone going for a 99 skill, and pc products and you've got the same enviroment. I think anyone who thinks 2+ years ago was better than now is in denial just a bit, when your newer to the rs community it always seemed better, but after getting used to it you can point out all its faults in seconds. [/hide] Or you could be in denial that Runescape really is getting worse. :-k

I kind of wish it would happen just to prove you all wrong. :P Oh wait, then I would be proving myself wrong as well.

Good WII Games
That pretty much sums up what I'm looking forward too. Where as a 360 or Ps3 I have a crap load of games I would be looking forward too. Basically all the games mentioned so far are the only note worthy ones, the Wii is nothing more then a novelty. :-w Well the Wii isnt exactly a single player system, so finding any good games, generally means you are wanting to play multiplayer. The ones i listed are the only good single player games really. If you have the choice between wii and 360, buy a 360, unless you have a lot of friends over alot, then you shouldn't have a problem. Heh, that made me think of something. The Wii is generally noted for being a cheap system, but the fact that it will cost another 100+ dollars to get the controllers + nunchuks seems to go un noticed. So for multiplayer(which as you say is the main purpose of the Wii) it would be probably cheaper too just buy a 360.

Autoers: Friend or Foe?
Autoers are detrimental, and helpful at the same time. The reason they are helpful is if you use skills other then the way autoers make money. If you get money from killing abbysal demons, then autoers are helpful too you because you get the same amount of money and cheaper items. The reason they are detrimental is because not only do they reduce the spawn times. But they also reduce selling prices. You can buy 1000 magic logs 300 each, but then you can only sell them for 300 each. So they don't really help one way or another.

Bard skill, today?
Maybe a new random event, some new tunes, music/adventure cape, and/or a new music interface? Those choices seem to be the most logical. Why would you quit? Its not like they are slapping you or anything, just adding a new skill.

Tip.It IRC Channel?
I was wondering this myself. I prefer to use mIrc, so is there a server and server address for Tip.It so I can access through mIrc? Edit - Thank you, I probably should have gone there myself. :wall:

[hide] I do ignore them, but ignoring a problem doesn't mean that the problem doesn't exist. If I were too deny that I didn't have say, cancer. I can deny all I want, but that doesn't change the fact that I still have cancer. Your methods are by far the simplest method, but they do not help the community at all. In fact you are worsening the community by not telling them that they are immature. Stop looking at the small picture, scamming and hacking is only a small part of this problem. I am not ranting about the community, I am pointing out that it is going down hill. And now, how is the report abuse button keeping immature players out? You can't report players for using bad grammar, or saying "pwnd nub". What a terrible analogy. You can't compare idiots in Runescape to cancer. The point Ventuzz made is that you can simply ignore it and it doesnt effect you. You can't ignore cancer, it has a much greater effect on your life than some guy calling you a noob, and frankly you can ignore idiots, and it won't effect your gameplay whatsoever, I'm so sick of people ranting about "Runescape is going downhill" and all that rubbish, it's not hard to ignore people in the game, you even get a special feature for it. [/hide] Sure, ignorance is a good short term plan but for the long run its not effective at all. As I said above, ignoring the problem just lets the baton pass onto someone else. And that someone may not be as strong willed as you, and give into what they ask.

[hide] [/hide] Of course I don't, but since WoW is an amazingly large game. You could play the whole day without having to interact with a single person. Where as on Runescape to do things you are going to run into people very often. [hide] [/hide] Once again instead of looking at the bigger picture you are focusing on one or two specific happenings. Autoing, immaturity, scamming, hacking, Gold farmers, ***holes, plus the other denizens are all part of the larger picture. In these small cases then of course you ignore them, but don't try and say that the community isn't degrading because it is. They have moved from just harassing in game, to the RSOF, and finally they are now moving on to fan sites. Because he didn't get a rise out of you he will try somewhere else, and the best place is a fan site forum. True they may stop, but they are more likely to move on to something else.(Fan sites) So by ignoring the problem, you pass the baton onto someone else and chances are that the next person is probably not going to be as strong minded as you are. So for that reason I implied that you are ruining the community. But I did not mean to personally attack you. Sorry if it seemed that way. Why is it a poor example? It describes Runescape fairly accurately. Right now Runescape has contracted "cancer".(or immature gits) Instead of acknowledging that there is a problem you just ignore it. And as the "cancer" grows it will be harder and harder to ignore it, or eventually because of ignorance the host will die. Alls I am saying is that at the very least acknowledge that there is a problem, and that its growing worse. [hide] [/hide] I totally agree with that idea, it would even go with Jagex's marketing scheme. There scheme is after all to cater to the parents, and what better way then too have an award system for good behavior. I can see it now: "Jimmy do you have a black crown next to your name? No mom. *Mother checks* Yes you do!! Grounded for 2 weeks!" \ [hide] [/hide] Many tip.iters are mature, but many of them aren't. Not everyone has too be a m4tty before they are considered immature.

I take my leave for the evening, please do not let me come back and have this turned into a spam war. :) It is different, you can deny all you want. But Runescape is on the decline, its golden age has passed and its falling down. well first of all, id like to state this. peter griffin laugh @ your avatar of RVB. and then, its true so true, the state of RS is decline perhaps the perception over time has been thrown off due to lack of viewing the community a majority of the time, but now that i have time to not play, but bask in the warming glow of the glowing warmth of the community and people who play this game, i have come to understand the days of when a set of rune was unobtainable were the best. [/hide] You're welcome, I get so many positive comments for my avatar(signature too when I had it up). Ah yes, I remember cutting wood for what seemed forever too get full mithril. Then being scammed out of it a day later because I wanted it "trimmed". [hide] [/hide] Now that Runescape is more main stream the "noobs" and macroers have increased insanely fast. You can say that the community hasn't changed at all, but it has. I know I act mature, but me alone acting mature isn't going to change 1 million players. You need to wake up and smell the roses, and realize that its not the same as it was even a year ago. I'm heading off for the night, please don't spam this topic with idiotic posts. :)

The decline of Runescape, and how it effects Tip.It.
Finally, someone who knows where I'm coming from. I knew there was a forum before Tip.It, but I didn't remember the exact info and if I had posted something wrong my whole post would be discredited because of one mistake. So I went on the facts that I knew. Thats one of the reasons I quit my old account(s), I don't like names with numbers in them. It shows you have little creativity, and need to add numbers so the name will pass. Personally I'm shocked Zezima and the old classic 'scapers are still around. I know I came back for the nostalgia and because the core game play of Runescape is good.

The decline of Runescape, and how it effects Tip.It.
When I started Runescape 3 or 4 years ago, I was among the "noobs" who used bad grammar and acted a bit like a [bleep]. But even at that time my maturity was and still probably is a lot higher then that of an average scaper right now. As a year went by I dropped the bad grammar, I made some friends, and I went P2P. I'm still progressing, but I feel I am a mature Runescapian and tip.iter. Back then all "noobs" were like this, they acted stupid for a while but eventually they learned and out grew there "***hole phase". Now lets go forward 3 years. Now that Runescape is more mainstream(game informer had to review Runescape didn't they? :wall: ) the user base has grown quite extensively. With this increase of users it seems we not only have the "***hole phase" kids, but the "***holes for life" kids. Or at least "***holes until they join the real world phase". With this increase of the latter players Runescape is in a very decrypt state. As more and more of these immature players pass Runescape on by word of mouth they bring there other immature friends in, who then in turn bring there friends. So now we are in the "snowball phase", Runescape has passed its prime and older mature players aren't going to join Runescape, when they can play WoW or Guild Wars which has a better community. Or at least since the world is so large you can avoid the miscreants and scum. So now we have more and more immature players, but the mature players have slowed down to a trickle. For every 20 players, maybe 5 are mature. With this lack of mature players Runescape is in a really defunct state, and is probably past all hope. So now here comes the fan sites, the mature players know these sites well and pass it on too there not too smart friends or relatives. Who then pass it on too there friends, and once again we enter the "snowball phase". But these players are not satisfied just reading guides, they have questions that may not be answered by the guides and where else can they be answered? And now we have them joining the forums. So first they stick only too the runescape forums, clogging them up with some of the threads we see. Mainly being "what if" and "wouldn't this be awesome" threads. I admit, I have some active threads in there that fall under the category and I probably shouldn't have posted them. Then they move to the other forums, putting in there ideas. Right now every other thread in off topic is about either religion or politics, and never in a good light either. The lovable off topic I once knew is no longer there, now filled with a mad hungry beast trying to cause disarray and anger. This is only the tip of the iceberg too, within a year and a half these forums will be clogged with trolls, ***hats, morons, and immature idiots. Fan sites have had a good run, Tip.It has been going strong since before '04. But the immaturity of Runescape is bringing it down, and I feel that we are a sinking ship. I'm not going to jump ship just yet, but its only a matter of time before many of the mature Tip.Iters and other fan sites go down. Some of this may be exaggerated or under rated, but for the most part I believe this too be true. Talking with one of my Runescape friends in particular, he views it the same way. I just needed somewhere to put this down, and get it out too the community. I hope it was insightful. And if you think its total trash, well your entitled to your opinion(s). ~Doughnut

Bank & Macro suggestion
Bank suggestion is ok, but I prefer Thagern's a lot more. This is a insanely flawed idea, and for it too work it would have to rely on the community way too much. What happens if some moron makes a clan of 100 people, then they all suspect some guy merchanting phats or something. Either he is stuck in jail, or he is skulled and they pk his [wagon]. Wouldn't work, wouldn't work at all.
