July 31, 200718 yr I read about speculation on the RSOF about a new skill coming today, the Bard skill. From the BTS July there's two sentances that haven't been done yet. We are also working on improving instrument sounds and a feature which will allow the player to access information about where a song can be unlocked. Keep your ears open for more musical developments later in the month. The bolded one is the important one to this argument and some people have interpretated it as a new skill coming, the Bard skill. I personally think it is plausable that this could mean a big update, but a bard skill? I'm struggling to think of ways to level it up or uses for it. Only real use for it I could think of is to sing a song and it works like a pot and boosts your stats as such, or works as a prayer and lasts a certain amount of time. July 31, 200718 yr I can't see a real use for it in Runescape and I doubt Jagex will implement a bard skill. Some times, reading between the lines doesn't mean anything.

I even posted it in my post... There could be a lot of uses for a music based skill, read some of the topics I posted the quick-find code for to see what other people think.

I didn't/ I said it was plausable it could be a big music related update but questioned if it would be a skill and if it was a skill what it could do. There are a lot of things you could do with a music skill, enchanting crystal items uses singing, maybe we could do that? Stat boosts, prayer like effects etc. There's loads of things it could be used for, so it wouldn't be useless. I really wish people would learn to read.

July 31, 200718 yr I'm surprised everyone know what a bard is, personaly ive never heard of it, and dictionary.com says its either a poet, horse armor, or a thin slice of fat or bacon used to keep the meat under it from drying while being cooked. July 31, 200718 yr Silkroad Online has implemented a bard skill into their game well. Maybe Runescape can follow a similar road. I'm not saying that there is a huge chance of it happening, I'm just saying that it shold be considered as a possibilty, no matter how small a possibilty. July 31, 200718 yr I can't say any of the "evidence" convinced me, but I do like the idea of it. Instead of magic, you use your voice to activate magical songs and these songs can then have all kinds of effects. It will be a nice change if a new skill isn't just for money making but for stat enhancing, or even better, a totally new way of fighting.

Yeah, the Evidence in the posts on the RSOF was well... not evidence. But for example there was little indication Slayer was going to come out when it did.

Retired 2146 overall - 136 combat - 6 skillcapes Plus I think the whole teenage girl thing will end soon (hopefully), because my girlfriend is absolutely in love with him(she is 18), and im beginning to feel threatened by his [Justin Bieber] dashing looks.
July 31, 200718 yr honestly its possible, but what uses would it have? i can't think of any thing other than dance and sing. maybe some new unlockable emotes? still doesn't sound very fun :?
