bard?? wth is bard

I read about speculation on the RSOF about a new skill coming today, the Bard skill.

 

 

 

From the BTS July there's two sentances that haven't been done yet.

 

 

 

We are also working on improving instrument sounds and a feature which will allow the player to access information about where a song can be unlocked. Keep your ears open for more musical developments later in the month.

 

 

 

The bolded one is the important one to this argument and some people have interpretated it as a new skill coming, the Bard skill.

 

 

 

I personally think it is plausable that this could mean a big update, but a bard skill? I'm struggling to think of ways to level it up or uses for it. Only real use for it I could think of is to sing a song and it works like a pot and boosts your stats as such, or works as a prayer and lasts a certain amount of time.

What do you think of the possibility of a new skill coming today (Getting a little late now though...) and if it is a music related skill like people suggest, what would it entail?

 

 

 

a bard skill would be useful if u could form groups and bard skill would help group but ud not really be able to combat while using bard skill.

To Above poster : a bard in most games is one that uses song/sound to benifit ones self and/or group in combat and sometimes used for other stuff. almost like musical combat... heh

Dragon Full Helm will never come out. I mean, Jagex even said so. Wait, what the [bleep]!? Dragon Full did come out? Jagex never fails to surprise us. For you idiots who say it will never come out, look at runecrafting. Would you EVER even think something like that would come out? Who knows. Don't promise things you,ve got no idea about. It's not our place to be predicting things. It's perfectly possible that it will come out and if it does I'll bet you'll like it.

I think it is safe to say that Bard will never come out, but if it does it would be nothing like a real Barding experience and would be interesting to see it pulled off effectively. I still doubt it though. :-k

Don't act like you know everything. The most common definition of a bard is a type of poet/singer. We're not talking about you being a poem, are we?

 

 

 

But I think that it's safe to say it won't come out as well. I kinda expected the dragon full helm, it's like having a rune short sword and thinking that there won't be a longsword.

I don't think such a skill would come out. I think it's archeology they're working on.
