Haha I loved that episode and I agree about the Chaotic Defender. Also, I'd rather have a Dragon Defender than another low level quest with no long-term usable reward. Whatever it's stats, as long as it's better than its predecessor, I won't lose any sleep over a couple points. Although it was too easy to get these, some of that might be due to multi-point mode (droprate is super high), and it was fun to hear "omg botters" and "omfg leave if you already have one" and similar for a while. They easily could have said these are the updates we hope to release this month but BTS phrases everything in the terms of what Jagex will do that month. IMO they should can BTS because the type of business jagex runs can be unpredictable and giving a set a things that you say you will do in x time frame when you know that your company has a history of delaying projects isn't going to be extremely accurate. Okay, I'll bite - first, since you believe that Jagex has a history of delaying projects, then why did you take what the BTS said at face value (that is to say, why did you take the BTS as a bona fide deadline instead of a desired outcome)? Second, they did get rid of the BTS for a while. This is the second month it's been back. It was canned for reasons just like this - players just couldn't accept that, sometimes, bad things happen with software. They tried the new approach and got just as much flak for not revealing the update(s) for the month, so they just went back to the old fashioned BTS. Didn't get them much further as far as appeasing the masses. Third, I will agree that the wording in the BTS is ambiguous enough to mislead someone into a false sense of deadlines. However, you should always take outlines (yes, outlines) with a grain of salt. Expect the unexpected, and anticipate delays/reworks/updates. That's just how software works. The problem I am attempting to point out is that Jagex has set themselves up for failure with BTS because there are 2 possible results at the end of the month 1. You release all the updates in BTS which is what everyone is expecting ( You don't see alot of "Way to go Jagex for releasing all the BTS updates threads) 2. You don't release all the updates from BTS and people are disappointed I'm not upset that Jagex didn't release everything in BTS, I just think it's not wise to do BTS when the only reaction you can get is indifference or disappointment

Wanna join my clan chat and go do clues when that happens? It stinks that people who have done alot of clues don't get a advantage over Elite clues, because as soon as Clues come out people with Dinvine+Cls+ good rich gear will go away from boss hunting to clues. That stinks. Well since Elite clues are only dropped by boss monsters can't they boss hunt and hunt for clues at the same time... Also I don't understand what advantage could be given to people who have done alot of clues.

Ok guys come on. Stop spewing the " I wasn't paying attention and I accidentally gained 15 levels" bs. Just about everyone that abused the bug knew what they were doing. I didn't craft any runes because I was told that there was a glitch. I didn't start crafting runes and say "oh I just was looking at the forums and accidentally crafted 1k deaths"

To those saying F2P boss: I really doubt Jagex is going to do three straight F2P updates (The Blood Pact, Easter then this)

To people saying "this thread shows why we're not platinum" I say you are dead wrong. Discussion about a topic that really can be looked at as a company trying to exert more power than it should over its community is extremely valid (though I personally don't agree). I don't think MHL or Qeltar are expressing their concerns because they feel like Jagex did step over that line, but what has it created ? Discussion about the topic. And what are you supposed to do on a discussion forum but discuss issues related to the topic of the forum. If you want to see what happens when there is blind following without debate see Animal Farm.

Qeltar it seems that you are operating on the fallacious assumption that any compromise to obtain something is "selling out". To me it seems that you are saying it is morally wrong for Tip.it to change it's ad policy in order to get more content. It's not as if TIp.it is being in any way degraded by removing gold selling or other game adverts from their site. Essentially it was a barter of Tip.it losing nothing that was of great importance to get more content. Now if they had began censoring forums to fit Jagex's whims I would have much more of a problem. I think the line between compromise and selling out does exist, but this compromise did not cross it. Because in order to sell out you must have a position on that issue in the first place, and I don't think other game adverts were a vital part of TIp.it.

The only update on that list that had any effect on me was strykewyrms. Other than that I would agree the updates in that time period have been somewhat lacking. The annoying thing is that not only has there been pretty useless content but during this lull in useful content they have teasers for something that will be huge without really telling us anything about it except a response 2 months ago that we would not have to wait long for its implementation. 2 months of pretty ineffectual updates later and the strange power is still unexplained. Also Really ? Jonas and the whale :P

Well when the strykewyrms came out I started training attack again in earnest through slayer. My final goal is 93 slayer but I got this along the way my new goals are 96 summon and 99 range through slayer

But it's F2P, so isn't that kinda out of the question? They do say it takes you outside the current free world map though. [/hide] I'm no expert on this obviously, but doesn't the Museum etc. require a quest or two? Yeah I'm almost positive that you need p2p quests to have enough kudos for the boat.
