I look at 99's as a reasonable stopping point. Sure, I really only do the skills because I enjoy them. I enjoy them in that, I set a goal and I enjoy achieving my goal. At 99 there is some benefit to every skill. 99 Fishing you catch fish faster (lol, I know) for example. While it might not be a crowning personal shark harpoon, with laser-guided sights and you fish 1k sharks a second, kind of achievement, it's still something.

I go by this saying, I don't condone it, but I can't condemn it. I don't tell people "HEY IM STRAIGHT LOOK AT ME!" so all I ask in return is just that you don't announce your sexuality. I mean, it comes up that I am straight and engaged, but it's usually within context.

I'm not demanding respect. I should've clarified more. I join the cc to avoid behavior and chat like in public chat. I was pretty sure the standards were higher in the cc. I'm just saying I'm disappointed in certain people in the community.

Most of the people I have run into on this forum are very mature players. They are very helpful and kind. However, there have to be a couple of knuckleheads. I don't care what people think about Fletching and getting it 99. It's not a virus to have 99 fletching, it's not a sin to get it. In fact, I hardly see it as a bad thing. It's a stepping stone to get all 99's. That's not even the point of this rant. My point is, keep your opinions to your selves. I've been playing this game for many many years, off and on, and only recently am I so close to 99 fletching. I see it as an achievement because I like fletching and it will be my first 99. I do not care if it is an easy skill. It's still a 99. I'm really disappointed in some members of the community who will openly trash someone getting the skill to 99. Clean your act up. Sack up and act like adults. I do (and many many others) say grats to anyone who says "yay i got x level in x skill!". Why? Because, we're sharing in their excitement because it was obviously an achievement for them. Just because you can sit behind your computer and play Runescape better than me doesn't make you cool. If you're ripping on people because they have 99 fletching, you're straight up an [wagon].

I understand that people dislike it. I'm just saying you can't base your argument as "matter-of-fact" without evidence for something like that. There could be a silent majority for or against it. Truth is, we don't know. Again, devil's advocate. My opinion is that double experience weekends aren't necessary, and I find them truly odd in Runescape. But, that doesn't mean I don't want them.

The top two lines need data to back up the claims. However, the third line of reasoning is wonderful. I'm just saying, you can't say "no one" and "few" without real data. You also can't say people will not enjoy it, or the gaming experience for weeks. You don't know. I'm just being devil's advocate. I truly don't mind being proved wrong with some kick ass data. But throwing out statements like that is absurd without data.

While I understand the increased experience weekend, I have to say, many of you are pretty immature towards it. I find it absolutely astounding that people can get so upset over something like this. Why is this game worth so much to you, that if it is temporarily made a bit easier, you have to throw a fit? Not everyone has the time to grind out skills all day. Some people have lives, and the exp boost, for me, will allow to me to get more bang for my buck, because I'll only be able to play Runescape on weekends this fall. Now, I don't think everyone is a no-lifer. And I know, Jagex doesn't need to cater to players like myself because of lack of time. However, I am saying that you shouldn't be so against it. I'm actually surprised at the way they are doing it, and I am happy they are doing it in the manner they are. I suggest that those who are so "upset" about the weekend, take some time and think about why it makes you so upset. I'm not denying anyone the right to be upset, but I am encouraging you to think about it. Is it really worth fussing over?
