  1. I downloaded a bunch of Bill Brasky and Celebrity Jeopardy sketches from SNL
  2. I think its the most efficient as far as exp goes by the number of skills leveled at once.
  3. southparkstudios.net :)
  4. I've read people give an upward of 40k. I myself don't track it (I'm not one for doing that). With the popularity of AZ's, Bandits and Ape Toll, Slayer tends to get pushed aside.
  5. If your Summon is low use those Golds and save Greens for Bunyips
  6. Many people believe Slayer sucks. To be honest, I have to disagree. Many people make the case that experience is awful. I've seen estimates that people can get about 80k CB skill exp an hour and about 40k Slayer exp/h. 120k combined exp/h? Include HP exp/h (not sure of the number you get from HP, I'm so dumb hahah), and that's decent exp/h. Sure it's in 3 different skills, but that's still quite good. Not to mention, the higher your Slayer, the more monsters you can kill. Eventually you get the cash cows that are Abberant Spectres, Abyssal Demons, Spiritual Mages, Turoths (I average 200k a task from them. Love seeds.) and others. Some people argue its the only way to train combat (myself included) while others say there are more efficient ways (such as AZ's). Well I'm just going to have to flat out say no. Sure you'll make some profit at AZ's and the exp is about 100k/h, but you're leveling HP and a combat skill. For slightly lower exp/h (20k, which in my opinion is negligible), you're only leveling easy skills to level. With slayer, you get 3 skills at once (or 5 if you use whip on controlled like me ) at similar exp rates. Again, I know its slower, but you are leveling many skills at the same time. Money? Slayer SHOULD be synonymous to money and to many players it is. It should be to everyone. I have about 6m in my bank and about 10m in items. When I started as a mem, I only had 600k. Now I have 16m worth of items and 72 Slayer. Sure, not the greatest examples ever, but I haven't even touched the great tasks of Demons or Mages. I sell many of my herbs, herb seeds. I alch my rune drops...and I make a ton of money doing so. Charms. I need not say more. So what is the main case I am making here? Slayer is one of the best skills in the game for these reasons: 1.) You train several skills at once, with decent to good exp/h rates. 2.) You will profit, as combat skills are one of the few that require very little to start (equipment). 3.) Charms. Screw bursting Lobs. Slayer ftw.
  7. I think its dead. As soon as Dragon was introduced, it was dead. However, for low levels smithing is great. When I started, I got smithing and mining 60+ and was able to make my armor for most of my combat training after that. Cost free Mith for a low level? Priceless.
  8. You read the thread?
  9. Curious if you even read the thread?
  10. Thanks =)
  11. *sigh* I USE a RUNE DEFENDER :D I'm asking if D Sq is even worth using in any circumstance, or if it is actually a good reason for completing Legends. NOT WHAT SHIELD TO USE :)
  12. Grogthurk posted a topic in Help and Advice
As far as shields are concerned, is it better than obby? Is it also worth completing Legends for?
  13. No? Runescape F2P'rs are damn lucky to have that much of a game available to them without having to pay. I can't really think of another MMO where you get as much as F2P'rs
  14. Well said. =D> That isn't what I am saying. I am using that as more reason for why they shouldn't. The fact of the matter is they shouldn't because they DON'T pay.
  15. Looking too hard into what I am saying. The answer is no, I don't think they should get capes. They don't pay, they don't have a say.
  16. Of course they would. Because we PAY for more. But, over time, Free players will continue to make the case they deserve more because they "have to look at ads" and "have it harder because f2p training is so hard". Not saying f2p training isn't harder, but part of p2p is easier skill leveling. I don't honestly think that looking at ads or harder training is merit for anything. At the end of the day you can say, you know what, I had it harder. Being F2P with a 99 is impressive, I think that's cooler than a skillcape.
  17. Maybe for you its that way, but I can't believe that people wouldn't start asking for more. Heck, MEMBERS do it and we're the ones who get ALL the content. Runescape has a very fragile system, which I hope they can repair before it shatters. Letting players have as much input as we do is really dicey. Especially now because F2P can go on the forums. Of course all F2P is going to want is more, and if Jagex gives in once, its over. Already with PvP updates they have proved my theory right. If you get enough people whining, they'll give in. If an F2P'r wants something THAT bad, they can pay. If it means enough for them to sit and whine and cry, they can pay. If you make a huge deal out of it, you can pay.
  18. Wow, OP has good grammar. Anyway, I did Yew Longs and alched them, but thats when I could buy all the mats for about 650 ;) Sometimes I miss the bots.
  19. I'm going to get skillcapes that are little more special. My first 99 will be what I want to level, Strength. Why? I hate the skill and want it to be my untrimmed. After that Attack  Sure I could SPEND money to get a cool cape, but I'd rather profit off of one, even if it takes more time. All in all, I think they're all just as special as the next. Just remember, you had to make the money before you could buy them :)
  20. I just say no because they don't pay. Here's the issue, if you give F2P an inch they'll take a mile. If you give a moose a cookie, he'll ask for a glass of milk to go with it, etc. "skillcap3z!! Giv3 us fl3tch naow!1!!" Honestly, I bought members so I could get fletching. And like others have said, by the time you could have gotten a skill 99 in f2p, you should be able to fork over enough coin for membership. Damn freeloaders. Beggars can't be choosers, you know?
  21. Once you complete the Hard tasks on the Varrock Diary, go talk to Vannaka (I'm pretty sure the slayer master) and he'll change it for you.
  22. My only thing with F2P is the sense of entitlement they feel they deserve. The fact is you DON'T pay, and those ads bring in revenue to pay for the servers you play on, and some profit. By being a member, we pay for the BULK of the costs of updating the game. Its exactly why there are ads here on tip.it. Because there isn't a "premium" user that we can pay for, we're all stuck staring at those ads, but we don't have to pay a dime and we keep the site. However, the admins may pay for the site, but I'm sure the ads bring in quite a bit.
  23. Do them if you want, but I'd stick to monks
  24. Fire Runes. Use rings of dueling and a fire tiara. Cannonballs...you might even profit Attack? Experiments aren't bad. If not them Slayer.
  25. They released game cards that you can buy at Target and 7-11 for goodness sakes. Use the 20 dollars from Christmas grandma gave you.
