Slayer is a fairly difficult thing to guide, as you can't really "train here until then" because slayer takes you all over. Great guide :thumbup:

The money with slayer will build up over time. Kent's slayer guide is very useful in the AoW General Guide section. Herbs, rune drops, alchs and so on will add up. I had 2.5m when I restarted membership a month ago and now I have 5m. Not impressive because I save a lot, but part of what I did sell added up.

I'm doing slayer, I'd like to get 85 slayer.

You think getting 85 attack, then str, then def would be a good goal? Then I could train with whip on controlled and they'd be about the same level. I love Runescape, just staying motivated to one task is hard.

I lol'd. Pigeon and Bald Eagle. Your rock, a Petoskey Stone, (smooth rock, looks fossil-like), weighs 1/2 a pound. The eagle is in front of the pigeon flying 30mph, while the pigeon, 40ft behind the eagle, is flying at 10mph. You can throw the rock at 80mph and both are 130ft above you. When do you throw the rock, where, and how do you kill both birds?

I have a hard time getting motivated to stick to any skill on this game. I do slayer to kill time while I'm thinking of what to do next, but at the same time once I make it a goal I want to do something else. What do you guys do when setting goals? Also, how long do you think it would take getting 85 slayer playing around...20h a week? 68 slayer now...I'll post stats

I'm happy with the way Jagex has changed the game. I may be the only one. But back in the day, people were given a choice. They could play the game, or they could scam, cheat, bot and a whole slew of other things to get ahead. I remember on several occasions quitting (in retrospect they were pauses) Runescape because of being victim of a scam, or frustration with botters. For example, one time I spent 20m on what I thought were Yew logs. Thanks for the Willow logs you botting sack of crap :) Whenever I had the chance I always tried to take the high road. I'm not perfect, I have snapped at noobs bothering me, but when I have been given a golden opportunity to rip someone off, I didn't. It just didn't feel fair. I thought of all the times it has happened to me, and why would I want them to quit? Runescape's name was being tarnished. Many a people would say "game's just filled with bots and 12 year olds." To be honest, that's how we as a community were acting. Always trying to lure people, or scam. So what'd Jagex do? They saved their name. Grand Exchange and trade limits, while incredibly frustrating at times, have saved the game. I can't get my Yews at 200 or less each, but I can take pride in knowing that whoever worked for my 400+ per log EARNED it. Though Runescape has been a bit baby-proofed, it was needed. The game is very difficult and time consuming, and whenever their has been an opportunity to exploit a bug or glitch (ie, 26king) people abuse it. So in the midst of all the whining about Jagex screwing over individuals, I look at the broader picture and say "You know what, I think it has been for the better". I had played a game called Ragnarok Online (on a private server, d'oh!) and I was ranked #1 for the class I played on the server and I was in the top guild. I was a high ranking member of my guild. I found out several of my guild members were cheating. 8/10 of our top members were cheating. Myself and the guild leader excluded. I reported the members, and the GM leaked that I had reported, so I was outed. I look at this incident and can be thankful that Jagex is much more mature. I trust Jagex to deal with cheaters, no matter who they are, and take care of business. What's the debate? I personally believe Jagex has made the game better, by removing the option to scam anymore. Players can't be trusted 100% with taking the high road. And the Runescape community frankly lost that right. Not saying members here on the forum, but the botters and 12 year olds (Not all) who blew it for all of us.

Once in the Champion's Guild, I ranged Chickens until I had 50 range, and cooked enough Raw Chicken to get from 1-32 or whatever the req was for Cooking Guild. I love RSC

People who make fun of you have their own insecurities, obviously. No shame in any game you play. If you're having fun, then leave it at that. If they choose to make fun of you, tell 'em to shove it and in 5 years you'll all look back and have a good laugh. :thumbup:

Okay ladies and gents, I want a cool shield that has uses. I have a rune defender, Guthix and Zamorak God books. But I want something...Bigger? I guess. I only have about 5m, and I am completely aesthetic.

I was young and naive when I did that :) I had saved up 5m for the whip..and I love how its price has gone down so much.

I'm a devout supporter of the whip, that's why my attack is 84 and my str/def is only 77. I think Godswords are cheesy and overrated, but I know they have their uses.

if I'm not mistaken, aren't prayers such as Piety percentage based? If that's the case, Godswords will win 100% of the time in attack bonuses because... 15% of 100 is 15. 15% of 200 is 30. Ya'll feel me?
