  1. Congrats guys! About time, this is the best fansite there is by a mile.
  2. brokeNCYDE is a [bleep]ing stupid name
  3. I'd love to have the sort of job where tattoos are okay, I'd get so many lol.
  4. My law teacher said there are about five to seven successful insanity pleas per year in the UK. The insanity law is a bit silly in parts anyway, it classes epileptics and diabetics with high blood sugar as insane.
  5. PWNED. OT: I used to keep a blog, but it started to feel like a waste of time... had to practically beg for replies in clan chat and I was putting a lot of effort into updating it and all for a few replies of 'grats' or 'good luck' or something. In the end I realised more time spent blogging was less time spent actually achieving the goals I'd set for myself.
  6. I've got quite a few lol. Singing along to Oasis - Roll With It is my earliest memory so every time I hear that it reminds me of being a toddler. Plus... anything by S Club 7. Girls Aloud - The Show. Green Day. Taking Back Sunday - Cute Without The 'E'. Blink 182. Jimmy Eat World - Work and Futures. Simple Plan - Shut Up. Mindless Self Indulgence - Shut Me Up. My Chemical Romance - Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge.
  7. I prefer the featured ones, I'm not really a fan of the historical or fictional ones.
  8. If you said the first two lines of that to the gay people I'm friends with they would rip you to shreds (verbally, not physically... although some of them may [female dog]-slap you a bit). As for the comment about religion - that is such a ridiculous generalisation. Sure, you only have to look at The Crusades to realise that religion can and does cause trouble, but it also brings a lot of happiness to a lot of people. Whilst not being religious myself I listen to a few Christian bands, mewithoutYou in particular, and I can't relate to some of the lyrics but I like hearing how passionate they are about religion and how the thought of God fills them with joy. It's not all trouble-causing and gay-bashing.
  9. Not particularly into cars but I saw an Audi TT the other day... freakin' suhweeeeeeeeeet.
  10. I was quite disappointed in the lack of things flying at me, most of all. The 3D effects were incredible, but subtle. You weren't meant to have things flying at you but... I dunno how to explain this properly... there was more depth, so things in the background seemed further away and things in the foreground seemed closer to you. Avatar was the last one I saw in the cinema, really enjoyed that. Yesterday I had a bit of a filmfest too, watched Up which I liked far more than I'd expected, then watched Superbad and Juno for the first time - I thought Superbad was good if a little overrated, and Juno was just complete [cabbage].
  11. @Pegpenguin - good call! Love that song. Mine would probably be Paramore - Ignorance. I've had it as my ringtone and alarm clock since early July, and it's had more plays on both my computer and mp3 player than any other song and I'm still not bored of it. Seeing them play this live was one of the best feelings I've ever experienced. Plus I can really, really relate to the lyrics. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OH9A6tn_P6g
  12. I saw a picture from the Grammys where she was wearing a really very tight leotard and they'd zoomed in quite far... she most definitely does not have a disco stick haha. Also think Love Game's a bit... well, it's a bit disconcerting hearing your 5-year-old cousin singing "I wanna take a ride on your disco stick"
  13. Nah, didn't really enjoy what I played of it... think I'll stick to RS for now.
  14. Ahh I wanted to go to that just for The King Blues, they're really good live. Have fun!
  15. Matt & Kim - Lessons Learned This song has the best video.
  16. She wore these five outfits in one night, pretty sure she's attention hungry... Honestly I think she's a breath of fresh air, she's so different from conventional pop stars. Perhaps not in terms of the actual music but as an all-round entertainer she's just incredible.
  17. Thought this might be an appropriate place to put this - I just registered for the free RATM gig in Finsbury Park at http://www.theragefactor.co.uk/ It closes on Sunday and goes on sale next Friday (I think?)
  18. It depends on which areas of each genre you're talking about. I don't know a lot about goth, but punk can vary from bands like Sex Pistols, The Clash, The Ramones and Rancid to bands like Green Day and Blink 182. It's much the same for emo - it varies from some of my favourite bands (Sunny Day Real Estate, The Get Up Kids, Bright Eyes, even Death Cab) to some of the worst music you'll ever hear (Hawthorne Heights, Panic! At The Disco, Fall Out Boy). It's not difficult to make comparisons if you interpret it broadly - whilst Blink 182 are considered by some to be punk (pop-punk at the least), they are easily compared to emo bands like Fall Out Boy. On the other hand it's difficult to compare Bright Eyes to The Ramones.
  19. Fireworks - When We Stand On Each Other We Block Out The Sun
  20. I like all of their past bands, particularly Nirvana, so I was looking forward to this but it turns out it's pretty boring.

Didn't think I'd really like the film that much but just wow. Loved it. I liked that they didn't have any really noticeable actors, no Tom Cruise or Angelina Jolie or anybody like that, just actors who played that part in that thing you saw one time, maybe. My favourite part, though, was "YOU ARE LIEK A BAYBEE. MAKING LOTS OF NOISE. DUN NO WUT TO DO" <3:
  22. I've got tickets for Sunny Day Real Estate, awh hell yeeeeaaaaaah! :twss:
