I'd say you need to get your idea patched then. Use the quotes I am referencing here, which were rather much in response to my concerns, to patch it and you just might have a supporter in me. In short, my biggest concern has been "unlimited roaming, and attacking of low-level players, by strong NPCs" and this is something I am certain Jagex won't allow to happen, but this idea thread so far has had trouble addressing while expanding the manners of gameplay. :( On the side, I am one of those who likes to take every one time in a while and walk down to Lumbridge and help some truly new player who can't make heads or tails of the game's map or other features. Very probably, people like me are what makes RuneScape grow so well, even if a lot of those new people remain F2P. :) ~Mr. D. V. Devnull Well...if you think about it in that since...I never said anywhere Infact what I said was the highway men right under Falador moving 30 spaces north...which is much less than unlimited, I also stated that players with experience would still have the advantage of knowing the general location of these monsters, but they may move in an area of maybe 50-100 or so spaces, no green dragons wouldn't be found in lumbridge... The agressiveness of monsters has been discussed many times before, not everything is agressive, and there's no reason that a player in the game would ever be attacked by an incredibly strong NPC as long as they stay away from their roaming spot, and to tell the truth, I dont think I would see a level 3 up even near the green dragons... Keep in mind, I am level 3...I'm a skiller and suggesting these ideas, monster levels and agression is the least of my worries, I'll add that part in later :) -
House Updates --- Always Updating!

No offencem but I'll have to agree, all thoes who got 99 RC in the old days would have done it in vein. As I would say it's without a doubt of the most boring skills to level considering it's speed and ammount of walking, I think it was meant to be that way. Runes should stay -somewhat- hard to craft, even if new techniques come out, they should be released slowly, as to not upset the old Runecrafter's glory. Farming on the other hand...well...I can see that, the time waited would be the same, and there are teleportation places to almost everywhere ehere there is a plot, so why not. RC - I'll have to say no. Farming - Sure, why not :) -
1) when the hell did macroing have to do with scamming? 2) honestly, who buys fish from the port sarim store 3) If you were half as intelligent as N2N or anyone else that understands economics concerning supply and demand, you wouldn't mind knowing what items macroers are collecting and selling so that you can use that to your advantage i.e. buy the iron while it's cheap (you can get them 50 ea from macroers who are too lazy to check the forums) find the guildmining macroers, buy cheap coal and sell steel bars which surprisingly haven't dropped in price. 4) again with the supply and demand, think it through genius. When I'm power-training i turn off trades and public chat because I hate seeing my screen spammed with noobs trying to buy rune for 300gp and 10 feathers. You're going to be banned before long for abusing the report abuse button rofl, he could be talking about me  I was buying fish at the Port Sarim fishing shop to get to 60 fishing and dropping the fish...making me look extreemly like a macroer, but I wasn't...there's no profit in cooking and little profit in buying the little things that that shop has = no reason for macroers to macro there... Iamnotadam knows what he's talking about. Macroer or not.

Just pointing this out, there are many people who auto-flax or just use members to make random scripts because their bored...they get banned aswell, they arn't an exception. It all comes out to how much your willing to loose in return for what. If Jagex wants to stop macroers, they need to make their bans about 10x faster and they need to find many more ways to prevent transfering, ATM, their ways are extreemly flawed :)

OK, Good idea, suggest it yourself though, lol, this is a bit different  -
Well...if anyone was to take action, I would assume it wouldn't be this president, presiden't starting wars on their way out would look terrible, as if he doesn't have a bad enough rep, and keep in mind if he started the war, he'd be putting his party's (Republicans) at risk of: a. Pushing more people over the edge and helping the Democrats and b. Loosing control of the war to the Democrats I'm a Democrat saying that, but yea, I agree with what most people have posted, we probably wont go to war with Iran (at least in the next 2 years)...

Teleporting (Thats a big one), Quests, Slayer, Runecrafting, Dodging combat, Less HP for agility, Hunter etc... Being level 3 makes huge differences in difficulty

Yes, just one: The Wildi's monsters already do that to any level. We don't need that coming and happening in non-wildi zones like Lumbridge. Did you read my post? the fact that you would be neutral unless you chose a side? Yes, I did read it, and here's the point I am trying to make: A number of the in-game monsters are set to auto-attack anything weaker than the following formula regarding the monster's level... "monster level" x 2 + 1 = "level at which monster no longer auto-attacks" ...and without regard to "neutrality". Jagex purposely intended to have some monsters that didn't give a 'hangnail' about whether you were not attacking them or not. If you're weaker, you get attacked ANYWAY... This is noticed, though, to be primarily such with any "Zamorak-loving monsters" and less so with "Saradomin-loving monsters"... IS MY POINT NOW MADE??? ~Mr. Devnull No, it's not ... I could argue the exact same, look the beastary, you'll find that some monsters are agressive, and some arn't. Jagex could easily make these battles civilized and make no monsters agressive, or even warn you before entering a battleground. Are Hobgoblins agressive? Yes. Are goblins agressive? No. Reguardless the level difference, that doesn't mean that these grounds can't be neutral. Look at the gnome battlefield for example, two sides, neither agressive. It is completely possible to alter your views of the game...Zamorak could be just as civilized in war as they are in Runecrafting. Your trying to put down a perfectly rational suggestion with small details and flukes that could easily be changed/altered...With nothing to gain on your side...I just don't get it... :| -
what if they have public chat off... I know Zzzamorak has chat off, and he's level 3, and I know I have chat off, and I'm level 3 (Nivel 3) ... neither one of us are macroers. Your abusing customer support by doing that. Your the one who should be banned. Let Jagex deal with it, all your doing is getting legit accounts locked

(Or just Off-Topic Debate) But if you look in the Off-Topic forum, there are many about the War or Terror, the genocide in Sudan, and soon enough we will be asking who eill win the Republican or Democratic primaries and why? ... while at the same time we have topics such as "Woohoo! Go Colts! Going to the Superbowl!" ... I dont know if anyone else sees it this way; but I'd say thoes are TOTALLY different types of threads. So far there isn't even a single sub-forum in off-topic and I think it may be time to make one. Should be a sub-forum for Off-Topic debate?

As many have said, the first reason that I am a skiller is because it looks awesome to have high skills on a level 3 as opposed to on a higher level. Another reason is that it just adds that challenge to things, you have to go the hard way on many quests and the skills are harder to get, there is less marigin for error, an example: Thieving. For a higher level, they might have, lets say 60 hits, they dont have to worry about dying as often as you would in having 10 hits...having 10 hits anot not being able to kill people as easily just makes things more challenging, which makes the game more fun for some :)

Eh, I doubt it, I have 1GB RAM, 5MB internet, and a 100MB network...as you can see by the fast screen-recording ;) ... I think it's IE7...is there anywhere to move this for...like...IE7 bugs and fixes? or should/could it remain in this forum...? idk, a mod can deal with that :)

Exactly, who's to say that these soldiers would attack neutral people, as I stated, you could join your favorite side, meaning that your are origionally neutral, but then can join a side and become deneutralized after taking a side, then you would be at risk. Think of ways to solve your own skepticisms before posting them, to tell the truth, that doubt wasn't that hard to bypass :| I think that idea was brought up before...but idk...if you have anything else, just tell me and I'll see if there's a way around it ;) :) -
no, macros on wow are simple speach binds similar to binds on call of duty. autoers or bots (as they call them on wow) get banned just the same. and what is the use of a macro f yuo just use it casually you dont even enjoy the game anyway He's right, WoW doesn't let macroers in the same terms that we're talking about...not to say that there arn't any

We contributed our own opinion on the matter, just because it disagreed with yours does not mean it's nothing. I support trendy things? This genocide is rarely known about, you obviously know nothing about it. Rarely known about? Are you kidding me?! I can't walk down the halls of my school without some obnoxious hippie shoving a jar of money in my face screaming at me to give money! You're an idiot, I have gone to the rallies, I have watched the movies, I KNOW about it. You are assuming I know nothing about it, and you're wrong. Kids are dying, it's sad, I'm sorry, I can't help it. Kids are dying here in America too, kids are dying in South America also, the Dominican Republic, Asia, it's hard to believe right? I thought Africa was the only place in the entire world that needed help! Who knew? How about those obnoxious idiots not only help the smallest part of the world, but supply the rest of the world that needs help too instead of being so damn hypocritical. I give to charity, I do my share of helping everyone that I can, not just Sudan and Darfur. *Ignores the idiot who spammed above me, where the hell are tip.it's mods to come and warn people for spam...thank God I got MyPurpleCrayon to contribute...there's still hope for the rest of you... The rest of the world needs help with food, and luckily, that's gradually getting better, but how does war affect a country? Well, it destroys it, we know that from the past, look in the past and you'll see rations on everything during the harder times of war, if a poor country is at war, what happens when they dont have the supplies? They loose, and who wins? Joseph, another terrible dictator. I thought we were done after Saddam? No, we arn't, great, we got rid of one, and are beginning to set of a stable government, but heck while were doing this, were ignoring the another terrible dictator's rise to power. Joseph thinks he will rule the world, and who's to stop him if he can take 2 countries in less than a generation, it's the new age Hitler or Saddam.

Not sure if you can just make something without any specifications besides 250x10 (I think that's what a UB is?) if you can...possibly look at this? http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?t=610113 -
We contributed our own opinion on the matter, just because it disagreed with yours does not mean it's nothing. I Support Whats Trendy? This genocide is rarely known about, you obviously know nothing about it. Spelling helping a case? No, his points can still be 100% valid, spelling and grammar don't dictate intelligence, look at our own president. He's not the greatest with words as you should clearly know, but that doesn't mean that he isn't smart, he went to both Harvard and Yale, and is the president of the United States, of course he's extreemly bright. I hold my polition firmly, you contributed 0...Tip.it needs to work on spam. To continue, make a new thread or something, idc, but dont pull this one off-topic. EDIT: and if you knew me at all, you'd know that I've argued topics when everyone was against me; look in the topic "remove the SS ban?".

The war in iraq, What do you think we should do?
None2None replied to splatmster24's topic in Off-Topic
splatmster24, I'm just replying to your comment about people thinking soldier are stupid, and your other comment about soldiers being smarter than the average person (or that what I got out of "you or me") You agreed before that soldiers were "semi-brainwashed" to believe in the cause that they are fighting for, which would say that they probably don't have 100% legitimate arguments when it comes to the war. As far as soldiers being smarter than the average person just for being in the military, I'll have to argue the opposite, the average soldier probably joined the army because they couldn't get into college (or the college that they wanted to get into) so they decided to join the army knowing that they would have a better chance of getting in the second time around, which, yes, is smarter than thoes giving up after highschool and working for minimum wage expecting to live off of that, but still not as smart as thoes getting into college and going on without that middle-man of the military. And I would still say that even thoes exceptions of people that has good grades and joined the military dont nessarily understand polotics as many and wouldn't understand the cause as much as thoes who write the articles for the New York Times, or even as much as I do...again putting their arguments below the average person who cares about politics and studies it. Does all this mean that I dont believe anyone in the military understands polotics as much as me or the guy writing for the NYT? No, it doesn't, it just means that (I believe) the average military personnel doesn't. -
Excellent Post! =D> Next time I walk by your house and a robber has a gun to your head, Instead of calling the police or comming in trying to save you, i'll just say and think.. "Oh, this is just natures way of natural selection". Wake up, its people killing people, not nature killing people. ~Defender~ Exactly, Darwin's theory of evolution may work when people are killing to survive, but when they're killing to kill, his theory is void, and that has been proven. Some things I've learned after reading this thread. Usernames dont nessarily reflect truths: Lionheart_0 seems to have no heart. Spam is aparently accepted: Thanks MyPurpleCrayon and Not for contributing...well, nothing. At least Bloodredsword related his post specifically to this topic. Post counts mean NOTHING: Go through this thread and find the most intelligent posts, most people with 2,000+ posts in this thread have proven to be uselss to the thread. Flame me for flaming you, I dont care, most people posting here aren't educated at all if they think that this is happening all over the world, or that nothing can be done, or they have to fend for themselves. Lets go back in time why dont we? To World War II, from what I remember there was a genocide going on, with a person named Hitler in charge. At first it began on a small scale of just discriminating, but the escalated to mass killings of people for no real reason besides race, religion or 'inferiority' to his view of a 'prefect' person. This is called genocide, it got out of controll and what did we do? We intervened. Most of the time you learn from your mistakes, when a country or group is growing because of force, something is wrong, I guess that doesn't apply in this case; we've learned nothing. We're going to wait until it is out of hand and millions have died before we finally get that swift kick in the [wagon] and say "Woah! What the hell were we thinking?!" and then when it's all said and done, I'm sure the same thing will happen another 50 years or so from then. Last time we decided to get rid of the genocide before messing up and begininning a very controversial war, I guess we flipped it this time.

an economist =D> And yet again, supply and demand dictate the world :)

orly? and yes, I was using IE7...hmm, I'll try that next time :)
-
Well...I have 3 computers...and it has happened on all 3 at one point or another...idk...could be...but I personally dont think so... :-s
-
Well, I posted a video on youtube of this happening...it happens every other time I load Runescape...I have to restart my computer to fix it...and sometimes not even that helps...wth? The begining of the video is hard to understand, but you'll get it by the end, if you dont...idk... Why isn't this posted in the youtube topic? Because it ONLY related to this topic, and that is why it was posted...it was not posted for views...isfact, it's the only video I posted...If a mod/admin thinks otherwise, you can remove it, yet I'd still want to discuss what 'Trivial' is...I dont wan't to question your power, just have the link posted in my topic :) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xyaRnTx1FeQ Well, the text on youtube is unreadable...go figure...but the first statement is "WTH!!!???" and the second is "rofl...bug..." ;) ...if you dont want to watch the video...what's basically happening is the picture of Runescape (not frozen, the actual visual) goes to the top-left, while it still reads my clicks from the normal Java box in the middle of the Runescape IE (or FF...it happens on both...) window..as opposed to on the visual...like it normally would... No, I wasn't using a client, as you should be able to see in the video, I can 'erase' the picture at the top right of my screen by changing IE windows and moving something over the caked on image...if I dont change IE windows and try to put another program on top, the Runescape image stays on top and just keeps re-drawing itself (I cant erase it)... Gah...awkward wording...just watch the video to get more of what I'm saying... Strange? :-k
