  1. Not much more can be added to this thread that hasn't already been said except for exaggerated drinking stories but I'll throw in a few tips for you. If you're afraid of throwing up, stick to beer. From what I've seen, many inexperienced drinkers go hog wild with the mixed drinks without knowing what they're getting into and end up getting their stomachs pumped or vomming their guts out for hours. But if you want to drink mixed drinks, just drink them slow and mix them light. I know 50/50s sounds like a good idea, but it's really not. And finally, absolutely know what proof or % alcohol your liqour is. And just to be safe, don't let anyone but yourself mix your drinks. It sounds cheesy but you'll never be sorry.
  2. I'll listen to the soundtrack from The Fountain. I can't even remember one song from it but I think it might have been similar to Requiem for a Dream's. Good list, short and sweet!
  3. I hate the kids that can't find music on their own and have to use last.fm to get it. I usually end up hating the bands that they suggest anyways. And I'm trying my best to not post a pro-Tool paragraph  Bands I hate that all of you probably love and by no means do the following statements have any personal relevance to any one of you so please don't freak out when I call your favorite artist terrible. You are the one that came on the "Most overrated band/artist" thread in the first place: Nirvana---Kurt Cobain couldn't even stay alive to take care of his own daughter. Addict piece of garbage. I don't care how "deep" your lyrics are, your voice still sounds like you're taking a dump. Not to mention that his martyrdom led to the spawning of hundreds of other singers like Shaun Morgan of Seether and 1 in 3 other 2000s mainstream rock vocalists. The Beatles---Blah blah we're on acid and can't play worth a [cabbage] live blah blah. That's all I hear on their albums. Rush---I'm a drummer and I'm even beginning to think these guys are overrated. Now they're not garbage, but their stuff just doesn't do it for me anymore. I could go on for hours about all the bands I hate. Pick anything that came out in the last 10 years and I'll probably hate it.
  4. My list was like 60% jazz. Go on there if you want to find some new stuff.
  5. Upcoming Combat Triangle Rebalance The Greatest Triangular Issue. Magic Is Overpowered. All on the first page. Yuck.
  6. Goes in the regular forum. And it doesn't have to be 75. I think I did like 45?
  7. It's not supposed to be about action and fighting. It's about the intense mental strain that Vietnam put on soldiers and how completely [bleep]ed up a soldier can become when put in a hellhole like Vietnam.
  8. Oldboy. Had it for months under the impression there were no subtitles. Popped it in just to see last night and I was blown away. It's a must see.
  9. The Great Escape Bridge on the River Kwai Apocalypse Now Full Metal Jacket All of which have been said, all of which are amazing.
  10. You're 23, not 43. Settle down.
  11. Okay seriously Paul Gray and The Rev were members of the most mainstream and over-produced metal acts on the market. Ronnie James Dio isn't exactly contributing to the up and coming metal bands. I see no problems in the future for metal and rock.
  12. I'm surprised this many people fell for it. Last time I remember this happening it was locked almost immediately.
  13. Stoppppp with the trolling please. 00s rock music defined by Nickelback. The whole lot of it sounds the same.
  14. Grew up in a small Wisconsin town of about 2,500. Going to University in St. Cloud, MN. About 17,000 students.
  15. Don't need deodorant. It's a pretty sweet gig.
  16. Society is a way of repressing our unique animalistic, biological urges. Those who follow the rules and play nicely, get rewards. Those who don't, go to jail. The idea of society does not really tame anything. The people are the ones that do the taming; parents, teachers, communities, etc.
  17. After all these years we find out spice is in Guatemala.
  18. It seems like maybe it's an ancient well or something. A giant, ancient well.
  19. No war game will succeed for console unless it has player creatable and nameable games. None really has since the days of CoD: FH and MoH: RS.
  20. Teaching drumline, working on new material with my band, and partying. Everything else is pretty irrelevant.
  21. Saw Robin Hood in theaters and thought it was great. But I'm gonna reserve my full judgement until the Director's Cut comes out. If it does. I can only hope.
  22. I usually don't read posts of people who have a "Signature Removed" sig. Wait a minute, I just contradicted myself. Hmm...
  23. My friend has that game in his basement. I lose every time I'm there.
