I bought my Mom and I two tickets to see Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers in June. It'll be at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul which is a great, large concert venue. I'm very excited to see them and I get to light up with my Mom for the first time

Nothing like a good ol' Desmond episode. They're always fantastic and tie up a lot of loose ends. He's the joker in the deck.

Sudafed or, Sudafedrin, is one of the main ingredients.

I was able to forgive the guys for shooting a couple of them because there were dark objects slung over their shoulders. That is fine, but what irked me is that not only did they continue to slaughter already wounded and clearly unarmed civilians, but then destroyed a rescue van with children in it. Even after they were done they mocked the dead civilians by laughing at a tank that ran over one of the bodies and laughed at the courtyard full of dead civilians, congratulating each other on such great marksmanship. These soldiers may have been on edge at the start, but judging by their reaction afterward they did not care if the people they shot were civilians or not. It's just disgusting.

Dead Snow One of the best zombie movies I have ever seen. My other favorites are probably 28 Days Later and Zombieland.

What's wrong with that, what I like about music is when it's catchy. I don't mind Of Moons, Birds, and Monsters as a structure, the whole thing is a little too reverb-y and hazy to suit me. I'm not going to start an argument about how to appreciate music, but what I can say is that a band like MGMT is very abstract. And typically when a band is abstract, they are forced to produce something to get attention such as a hit single. Maybe I'm a dying breed, but I don't listen to singles. I don't buy into the whole iTunes/Limewire generation of downloading single songs. I only listen to full albums. When an artist makes an album, you should listen to the whole thing, not just the catchy songs. An album is a work of art and listening to singles is like looking at a single brush stroke from the Mona Lisa; you can't appreciate it without it being in the context of the entire work. That being said, you can still have a track or two that you prefer more than others. That's completely reasonable. But I don't think it's fair to just discard the rest of an album. Whether you like it or not, those songs are what the band you are listening to thinks sound good and they want you to listen to that as well. And FYI: MGMT is a shortened version of their original name The Management.

I hate people who only like the hits that MGMT have put out. Those aren't even really their best work, only their catchiest. Of Moons, Birds, and Monsters is easily their best song and Oracular Spectacular was a pretty fine album through and through. But anyways I lost patience with the new album when I listened to it. After 5 songs I didn't really feel like they were going anywhere with it. I don't think they knew where they were going with it. They wrote some good tunes, got famous, and don't know how to follow up such a tremendously popular album. Maybe I'll listen to it again, but i really don't have any interest to listen to that surf-style stuff again. Ick.

I've been reading a lot of Hunter S. lately. The Great Shark Hunt is a fantastic book.

I think we should have an OT group viewing of "Trainspotting".

Well it started with my idea to have a sinking ship on my side using my waist as the waterline. I went in to get some other work done and my guy suggested the squid idea. I told him to draw it up and if I liked it, I would go with it. I like the way it looks and that it's very colorful, that's all I care about. And no, it was absolutely not inspired by Pirates of the Caribbean.

[spoiler=6 sessions and 1500 bucks later...]

Well the water theory is out, he took the outrigger to the other island, crossing water in the process.

"They'll have to send in some douche bags with heartbeat sensors." God I laughed so hard. COD sucks so much compared to this game. I got all my friends hooked on it. I've always loved Battlefield's online gameplay style.

If anything, OT has taught me to stop debating religion. It's pointless.

New US Heathcare Reform Legislation Passed by Legislature
Range_This11 replied to The Dark Lord's topic in Off-Topic
Just for the record I really don't care about this bill at all, but I'm wondering if there is a correlation between the doctors that are coming here, as you say, for innovation in heart disease, cancer, etc. and the doctors this bill will affect. It seems to me that the most affected doctors would be surgeons, physicians, nurses, etc. i.e. the ones you find in normal hospitals across the country. I find it hard to believe that doctors who immigrate to work in the most cutting edge facilities on complex diseases will be seeing any of the new 30 million or so people that will be covered by this bill. I just don't see the correlation because most doctors I have seen throughout my lifetime (albeit 20 years is not a 'lifetime') are pharmaceutical lapdogs and none of them are cutting edge researchers. I believe most Americans see those type of doctors as well. -

Chinese One Child Policy and should it be instated in India?
Range_This11 replied to Faux's topic in Off-Topic
Although China and India have larger populations, their contribution to 'overpopulation' is less than America's. Sure a place like Calcutta is a cesspool, but the average Indian citizen is not consuming and producing waste at nearly the same rate as an American. We should be limiting our population. -
I smoke a lot of weed but I hate the "stoner" mentality and attitude that a lot of people that smoke have. It shouldn't be used to just get messed up for a couple hours, it should be used as a way to perceive things differently and expand your way of thinking. If only we could live in a perfect world where drugs are used for the right reasons haha.

Bought this game yesterday and HOLY COW it is awesome. One of the best games I've played in a very long time. I was getting sick of Halo 3 and MW2 is a joke, but this game is exactly what I needed. I'm working on being quite good at the assault kit and have been having some good success with the F2000 on Conquest.

I'm down to 1.1x at around 7 hours as well. This is stupid, I have to find something else to do for 3 hours before I can go back to smithing since my gold guants won't be working until the 10 hours is up or I wait until Monday. I guess 95 Smithing won't be happening this weekend. Cool, Jagex.

It depends on where you get it on your body and how big it is. Some can be relatively painless, but some can be brutally painful.

One is a mirror shot, that's why it looks like they're on two different sides haha. Oh and edit the title to spell tattoo correctly pleeease. Thats pretty good dude. Although I still haven't got a tattoo, if I bulk out a little through the gym, I may get something on my ribs aswell. (I can't believe this thread is still alive!) Yeah they hurt like a [bleep] though. None of my other ones hurt this much.

Would you still play if runescape was Class Based?
Range_This11 replied to killmenub's topic in General Discussion
Classes suck, they make the game way too predictable.
