I like it. The effects really bring the render 'to life'. It'd make a great entry in the competition. :wink:

I prefer Gold_Tiger10's design. It's a lot smoother than the other, and more to my taste. ThruItAll's is quite good, but Gold's was my favourite. :-w

It's looking good so far. I agree with pomar1 though, it would be better if it were dark. I look forward to the finished version. :)

Your Halloween battle signature makes me want to restart the one I've created. AKA I think it looks good, and that you should definatly enter it.

The white background doesn't suit with the mostly-white guitar in my view. It makes it a bit too plain (More than you'd want). :-k I think it has potential though. :)

I like versions 1 and 2. Version 3 looks rather dull since the colour has been removed. Version 2 is probably the best due sprite blending into the rest of the design a little bit more. The effects look good overall, though on version 1 the render just seems to be 'placed' in the middle. This lets it down a little in my view. :( 8/10 for version 2. :)

Mhm, I agree it is a bit plain. :) I'ma use the fact that this is my second GIMP design as defence though. :P I'm currently creating something for the Halloween competition, and I think it'll turn out a lot better than anything I've attempted in GIMP. :) Thanks for the feedback. :wink:

Never try to wake a person who is sleepwalking. It's known that they don't respond.. 'well' to it. :| I sleepwalk at rare occasions. I only generally get out of my bed and walk into other bedrooms to continue sleeping, or go downstairs to get a drink. People don't generally notice it since they're normally asleep too. :P

It's too dark as a whole. It hasn't anything that will bring in attention. It's a dark render which blends a bit too much into a black background. The text isn't great either. You need to add some more vibrant colours, and defintly make it look a bit more exciting, perhaps by using some C4Ds? (And edit the text :P). :)

Yeh that's fine, just helps to break up the text. Large blocks can kill the eyes at times. :P

Luckily I already know how to install brushes/fonts, but I'm sure this will be userful to many beginners. Good guide. : (P.s. Perhaps add a space between points like so: 3. ~~~~~~ 4. ~~~~~~~).

Well, I may have cheated slightly with this, since I vaguelly started it originally on Photoshop. But the majority was completed using GIMP. :P I've used this render before, but that one was a little boring/unexciting. I used around 4 different pictures of storms that I had found. I know there's no text to be found, but I'm not really that good with text on GIMP, at all. =; C/C would be appreciated.

I like it a lot. Captures the Autumn perfectly. Perhaps a bit dull at the top though, my attention is pretty much drawn to the water. 9/10 though. :)

The planet on the left is perhaps a bit too dark, and the planet in the distance really doesn't stand out that much, it blends into the background too much. But apart from that, wow. It looks very good. 7/10. :)

Why do so many people have a fascination with 'Link'. :XD: I really like it. The grungy look fits well with the render. A very nice signature you've produced there. Although the text is little to be desired. :-w Great effects, great signature. Top job. :) 8/10 from me.

I know. :( I'm yet to actually find any real, decent tutorials which go in depth for GIMP. They're all tutorials that assume you already know your way around the place, which is rather annoying. But thanks for the feedback.
