roving elves start
He is moving between them at a set time interval, so the best choice would be to stick in one place and wait.

Free to Play?? or Watch Ads to Play??
First of all, I don't understand how ADs threaten you? If they lag you, you can always report them. Just look into the game window, ok?

Is RuneScape being ruined without us noticing?
But scammers really only scammed the little kids. Sad fact, but they shouldn't be playing. Persoanally, I have never been insulted by a pure before. I highly disaggree with your first statement. Luckily, the only time I was scammed when I didn't check the 2nd trade window (my fault only: 300 death runes lost), because I was accepting so much trades I just made it automatic (the infamous "i-put-cash-and-5-junk-items-and-accept-then-remove-cash-and-accept" scam). But the problem was that scamming was treated as a normal, even useful thing. About not being insulted by a pure... Have u been at least near wildy in those last two rsc years?!!

Night-time Could Be Arriving...
I would really like to see day/night time considering we have different sources of light and current lighting effects can make it look fantastic. I think the best idea would be to make day/night time server-side. If so many people want real-time day/night, then it should depend on the server's timezone. I would be absolutely against player-controlled day/night. Everyone should be in the same game time.

How did you find out about RuneScape?

Is RuneScape being ruined without us noticing?
If you remember the last two years in RSC, the community consisted of: 1) Scammers 2) PK pures, who insulted everyone else on first opportunity It might had been different on members worlds only, but anyway it's not a good example of what the community should be like. If skillers want to waste their time on getting 200m xp on each skill, let them. Eventually (you will increase chances if you ignore the auto world picker) you will meet people with attitude similar to yours.

Is RuneScape being ruined without us noticing?
It is all about the attitude you have when playing. Sure, alot of people want to call someone else a noob, but still you can just ignore them and have fun. As I recently came back to rs after another year of not playing, I found out my all bank is worth 5 times (or more) less than it was, most people have at least lvl 60 in each skill and at least lvl 75 in combat skills. And, I just went for some questing, doing some skilling and combat when had an opportunity. It's still fun.

Skills that are not useful anymore
Someone said crafting is useless, but then again, where does the teleportation items (games neck, ring of duelling, digsite pendant, glory ammy) and useful items like ring of forging come from? And every agility level is useful, because it makes run energy recharge faster while not running. Yes, it isn't significant, but still you can't say it's useless. It can save your life.

How did you Feel after a long break from playing?
What a coincidence that last week I also came back to RS also after around a year of not playing. Well, I quite liked the GE, though I see that wildy agility course training is ruined (ah well, can't argue with the facts that there hardly was anyone even those days) with people having at least 70 agility all around (maybe it was the fear factor and not the pking factor that prevented them?). Anyway, I also liked the trade limits, particulary useful against mass-botting and item [drop-]trading, on the other hand I still don't have much idea about most new items. And summoning seems a good skill (if you have money to invest). Just my opinion. Those few days around I was mostly questing, a little skilling and a little PvM.

Who has more money?
Considering P2Pers that quit for more than a year also cancelled the membership (as I heard some people that don't make up their mind if they would play again don't bother cancelling for those ~5$/month), I would say if we count all accounts and todays GE prices, F2P has more wealth. If we do not count inactive accounts, P2P has way more.

Does the look is important for you?
Stats > Weight reduction > Looks That's why I only wear full mourner's + bazooka when I go to F2P.

what do u do for fun?
Some replies made me remember how I was programming whilst fishing n cooking in Catherby. It (programming) was very efficient btw. Anyway, if you're bored, or simply can't find what to do, consider doing a quest. This really helps, unless u did them all. If you don't meet a skill requirement, consider getting that skill up. If that doesn't sound fun at all, try a minigame or a regular event (info in the game guide). And if you still don't like it, just do whatever comes in mind. That way you wont become the feeling you're wasting time, and while waiting for the payment transaction in f2p I even managed to get my interest in rs up, just by playing like that.

Gamasutra- interview with Jagex CEO Iddison
It was kinda sad to hear that RS is primarily aimed at 7-18 age group. That gives them the excuse to bring out quests with lame storyline (not to mention the untested rewards), and while projects like TruthScape and similar handed out many suggestions against scamming, insults and safe-play, that really improved gameplay experience (yes, it may seem it degraded the gameplay to some people), but overall I enjoy not seeing 10 bots near every yew in f2p/p2p, not seeing people constantly trying to scam someone, or people crying about being scammed (trying to scam you at the very moment) and such. If jagex was listening only to the group they're aiming, they would probably be just adding 5x more powerful equipment and such... At least they still manage to treat RS as 'something for everyone'. Hopefully later they will come up with an idea to balance it so their target audience would become wider.

Lasting Value of F2P PVP
While as a ranger or melee type you can solo efficiently most of the time, these types face harder times KO'ing at low levels without a clan. Mage is the exact opposite. If we look @ the experience tables, we would see that it is unbalancing, though a mass of people instead of one or two is better all the time.

some people are just [cabbage]
You can always hop if you don't like something in that world... So if someone comes and starts insulting you (either via chat or buy game actions), you can add them to ignore list or hop.

PvP worlds not entirely thought through?
I agree with skiller supporters. As construction managed to cope with the constant gp overflow (yes, it is not that huge anymore), which actually, in an indirect way dropped the most used item costs (primarily rune), because people don't have that much money anymore; if construction wasn't draining gp, costs of widely available items would have constantly gone up. However, as Jagex made a way gp overflow exits the economy, items were being produced/dropped since the beggining of the game, that also helped the prices to go straight to the Jagex value (set by jagex, not by players on GE). Hopefully this will manage to keep economy quite stable.

MUST WATCH: UPDATE: Holland considers virtual theft a crime
First of all, as someone has already said, nothing was stolen in this example. Jagex property still belongs to Jagex. The threat is a serious thing though. Anyway, as everyone knows, our law system is highly uneffective (anyway it is WAY WAY better than nothing, or the early codex, that stated "an eye for an eye..."), because: You can commit unlimited amount of so-called "crimes", there is no limit or Just-In-Time prevention. You are punished (if ever, for example Josif Stalin killed hundreds of millions people in probably all known ways and easily got away unpunished) only if: 1. You are suspected commiting the crime and people are assigned to find out if you really done it. 2. You get caught committing the crime and do not eliminate every single witness. 3. A huge amount of serious evidence is collected against you (doesn't always work) Thus trying to apply it in the internet, where various ways to fake/spoof your identity exist would be a waste anyway. And this example just shows how people tend not to look after the obvious (the rules that every player must read and abide), but interpretate the details.

Weekly Poll: What challenge do you enjoy most in PvP worlds?
80% for dangerous skilling and 20% for the rewards. Why do you suppose I lvled 52 -> 70 agility in the wildy course when pking still wasn't removed?

the new halloween items???

Your First Account
Well my first account was Cossacking (purposely left out 'k' to comply with symbol limit) in 2002. It got banned for offensive language the same year rs2 went out. Before it was banned, I had also created Pure Cossack, a lame 30 att + prayer pure, which I later gave away with it's a2h and other stuff and Xx Tdx Xx, a way more successful pker which got obsolete when rs2 came out. I also had created Xx 3ra Xx (for classical rs only) later, but it has no purpose now, simply because it is a just-created char in rs2. I created this char a few weeks before my main got banned, and it was my 5th account, designed to be a pure ranger. Well, later I started skilling it and then decided it to be my new main. I still retain 1 prayer though.
