I know, I was so surprised to see it on other forums and not only that but it was being presented as real! I have posted on a couple of those forums to put an end to their speculation but the rumour still spreads. I even saw it on a couple of YouTube videos XD If you're the creator of the image, how about you prove it by making another fake? I'm not convinced that you really did make it, so I'm not going to believe it's yours until you prove that you can make Jagex-looking images of that detail. What makes you doubt that he did make it? A post a bit earlier pointed out several minor flaws with it. Besides, he stated that it WAS a fake.. why would he hide something like that from the community? There's no reason to.

You know what, i'm not going to continue being mindlessly flamed. There's quite a bit of good evidence that it's been faked, read the thread. But I came to tip.it to escape the mindless flaming of the RSOF. That isn't happening here, and to avoid future problems, I am simply going to drop the matter. If you want to stress the issue futher, go ahead, but I won't be listening.

The Brimhaven Monster, (true name is the AFRO TROLL!.) is a rumor posted by someone on the RSOF. People jumped on it, started spreading it, and now because so many people are saying it, everyone is assuming it's true. There have been several faked pictures, and in my opinion, it's a load of hogwash. People create things like this all the time for publicity- until I can confirm what it is when the skill comes out, I'm not beliving anything... anyone remember the 'Wilderness Beast' that would only spawn if you went into a certain part of the lava maze skulled with a cash value of 1mil+? Probobly not. It was deleted minutes after creation. I suggest you all do the same- belive nothing, trust noone. You never know when it's fake or real.

That could EASILY be faked. If you want me to belive anything, get me a screenie of the actual beast. And it's not a 'Brimhaven Monster'. It's an AFRO TROLL!

Personally I don't think you'll have to kill it- perhaps tame it? This is supposed to be a tuitorial to summoning, so it's probobly not going to be involving too many outside elements.

They wouldn't only release the low level monsters first. First of all, the higher level ones will probably be cooler, and will attract more people to summoning, and also, I'm sure Jagex realizes that some people will play their game for 20+ hours straight once summoning is released. true about those ppl playing 20+ hours when it is released but buy the sounds of it 20 hours wont even get u into the dubble diget lvls :XD: I don't really belive that... let's take.... smithing for example. Even if you mined all your ores, you could easily get 40 smithing in 24 hours. JaGeX said it was on the hard END of the scale, not 'so unbearably hard that getting to level 2 deserves a skillcape'

Nope they never mentioned actually releasing the skill. I think what you're thinking of is the third diary, where it says it will release the third wall paper in two weeks, and then the fourth diary a week after that.

Remember when a guy said that the image of the Varrock Stonehenge was the updated Taverley, saying that the Druids turned evil? First off, it was also an honest mistake- he never claimed the druids turned evil, he just thought that that was the updated taverly because of it's design. A few people corrected him and that was that. You, on the other hand, and being incredibly rude to him. Now Mech, I know that even though I've locked you in your cage all of today and you're irate because of it, that doesn't mean you can lash out at anyone that mentions 'rope' or 'animal cruelty'. What's the Brimhaven Monster? A beast that's been spotted by alot of people near the Brimhaven fruit tree patch. Search "Brimhaven Monster" on the RSOF. Man I feel like camping there just to see it, but I bet its all hype and rumor. Rofl! It probobly is. I've known at least 18 other incidents unrelated to summoning where people claimed to have found a 'rare' hidden leak or secret, and then everyone jumps on it thinking it's true and starts spreading it. *awaits Mech-style flaming*

It could be a creature you summon to help with cooking or farming. Or it could be the Demonic Apple, rival of the Evil Turnip.
