As much as I'd love this to last, anyone who isn't keeping up with this is being left in the dust. And no one wants to be the last to post. That's how virtually all of Africa was claimed before half of OffTopic even knew what the game was. Thank the lord I was logged in when the thread started. I never would have joined if it was already 10 pages in (which it was in a matter of hours).

Belgium has agreed to join the nation of Luxembourg for simplicity of living. Few are resisting the annexation, and a few rebels have been spotted in the new territory. They will be dealt with in due time. Luxembourg also accepts Argentinas generous offer of uranium for trade. Luxembourg offers in return 20% of the production of "project Mobile Force" which more details will be posted of later. Those who pay close attention to this thread should already know about what it is. And as for the nation who offered me Exo-suits, I will have to decline. I'm not looking to buy full weapons, but more like weapon materials so that I can build my own. Mozambique is now 90% catholic, and diamond excavation has increased 7%. Diamonds are still being shipped to Israel for new and updated weapons. Luxembourg also offers to adopt all of Germany's poverse babies in the promies that they will all be converted to being Catholic. Taxes have been lowered in Luxembourg to accomodate the new portion of it's population. And @ Brazil, South Africa posts from time to time and probably doesn't enjoy being trodded on. He simply isn't as active as the rest of us. I'm wondering what the fate of former USA will be.

"I want a girlfriend/boyfriend", and other such relationship advice
I just had the funnniest comversation of my life. Easily the most fun. With a drunk chick. I know it's unethical to hook-up with drunk girls (which among millions of other reasons is why I didn't) but I learned so much about the average teenage girl in just one, fairly slurred conversation. First of all, she was a varsity high school cheerleader, who's brother was the high school hero of 2007. So she has a very high seat in popularity. I'm an ex-runescape player, admittingly low on the social food chain. I along with my firend talked to her for about half an hour and learned alomst everything about her. We were just hanging out in the park and she walked up and started talking to us. Comlpetely confident. She told us where she lived, who she hated, who she hang out with, what grade she was in and her name. She then asked us those questions (about 4 times each, because she was drunk, lol). It seemed so simple to socialize with her. I've never found it easier to talk to anyone. Not that the conversation was all that deep, considering any sentence with more than 7 sylables was completely over her head. I learned just how easy it is to pick up a drunk girl. Especially a happy one. She couldn't remember my name for the life of her, nor any other info I gave her, but I have a feeling giving her my number would have been enough to get me remembered. So, as it turns out, alot of what Iamdan has been saying is aplicable. A) apply to emotion B) body language is key C) CONFIDENSE D) have a few conversation starters ready It's really as simple as that. I was truly shocked. Just remember to stay sober, yourself ;)

"I want a girlfriend/boyfriend", and other such relationship advice
This. Your 13 for goodness sake. Let's just say for a second you are in love. Is she? It's a two way street. She obviously isn't treating you the way you like, and why should you have to take that? You've had 3 girlfriends already and you're only 13. At this age, relationships will fail. FAIL. This is not Boy Meets World. 13 year old girls these days are completely incapable of loyalty. Just look at the way they treat each other. You either need to a) take a break from girls for a while and enjoy being a kid B) stoop to their level (highly unrecommended) or c) if you do find yourself in a relationship again, leave "love" out of it and just have a good time. You'll find that there is much less pain involved.

Dude, I already told you, I own Vatican City, and thus the Pope is within my domain. The Pope decrees that it is the best interest of all who believe in Jesus to donate at least $10 USD to the cause of helping those of Italy who have suffered greatly from this horrid act of God. Also, he decrees that condoms are evil. MAKE BABIES. And thanks to the newly developed Metal Storm space station (thanks to greatly appreciated donations from around the world), the sin of using condoms can and will be enforced by religious law. So don't wrap your willy or you'll get a metal rod up your [bleep]. A big one. I lol'd. Because this was my joke. Roughly 30 pages ago, I already decreed that condoms cause AIDS and shouldn't be used, which in turn caused my population boom. Gotta read the fine print, buddy ;) Oh, and the Pope doesn't even reside in Vatican anymore. I conquered Vatican very early on, as it was it's own independant country, and no one had claimed it. The Pope has since been relocated to Luxembourg, Luxembourg where he is quite safe. By the way, I converted Vatican into a military research lab a few months ago and closed it to tourism, as I mentioned 10 pages ago or so. Anywho, Italy should be recovering quite fast from it's earth quake. South Zimbabwe has become an established military base, and can now train the local militia to be much more effective. Taxes have been raised in all colonies, Luxembourg continues to peacefully squeeze its way into Belgium. And all excess government spending has been focussed on "Project Mobile Force". Once a few more scientists graduate, this project will be thorowly (lol @ mispelling) researched enough to know everything I need to make it happen. Luxembourg is still looking for a fuel source, and possibly a second weapons dealer.

A thing to wrap your mind around
I'd say that in an isolated environment, total mental molding can occur. However once the molded person is released to the public environment, they will experience many new situations and choices in life. If done correctly, the molding will have programmed them to have no free will, and therefore ignore all of these oppurtunities to break the mold. But I suppose the risk of de-brainwashing is still there.

I have to say I agree with this. Before playing, I knew next to nothing about Japan, now I know an awful lot more. I've also learnt about heavy water, tritium, and the like. Oh absolutley. I know more now about Africa than I ever did. I can locate virtually every African and European country on a map now (east Eu was tricky, and I had no idea about Africa). Not only is this fun, but it's very educational if you get into it. I'm left to ponder why Italy decided to essentially earthquake itself. Realism is fun, but why inflict such damage on your own country? I figure the OP should handle all natural disasters and who they happen to, as he has become a neutral almost god like force. Also regarding the Italian earthquake, Luxembourg sends over 90,000 citizens eager to help the relief process. The Pope also decrees that it is the best interest of all who believe in Jesus to donate some money (just $2 USD per person, non government enforced by the free will of other country's citizens) towards helping out our fellow humans. Luxembourg continues expanding into Belgium.

How do you think sex slaves came to be? They are raised from birth to know nothing but what they are molded into. It's prefectily possible, just a bit unethical and creepy.

Who has control over the country of South Africa? I want passage into those two little independant countries inside of it at a later date. By now Mozambique, is completely under Luxembourg control. With the fall of Germany, the EC seems to have taken a heavy blow. I propose that the countries remaining in the EC (meol, riku, and I think a few others) explore the rest of Europe and soak it up before someone else takes it. We could use the resources. I'll take responsibility for Belgium, and possibly another country east of Germany later. I can't invest too much into it at the moment. The Argentinian troops are begining to miss home, and have been sent in the direction of what was formally the Congo. They will perform a pincer technique when the meet up with Argentinian forces that are currently moving through the region. Hopefully taking this iniative will aid the Argentinian/Luxembourg relations enough to have co-owned mining settlements. All for the good of Catholisism! Luxembourg's bursting population has begun approaching the Belgium border, and avoiding the German border due to their messy revolution. As long as Germany is living in year 37 anyway... Other than that, I invite it back into the EC, as it is a free trade, alliance with military backup. I'll also be looking for a new power source soon for an upcoming project. Uranium looks promising. I'll also need a weapons contractor. Hopefully Isreal won't be too busy, as Luxembourg was impressed with their weapons as of current. I also could have sworn that North Korea spilled into South Korea. Oh well. Some of that may sound a bit of date, as I wrote it whiole reading the last 9 pages. My apologies if some things have already been clarified. Luxembourg's education system now specifically focusses on engineering, math, and science. Luxembourg troops are spread over the Zambian border. My explorers have found a significant amount of unclaimed European land. Now if only I had someone to co-run them with...

Other way around, 2 months=4 hours. 12 months in a year, 24 hours in a day. Oh right yeah, of course.. In my defence, it's 6am. :wall: *facepalm* I guess my impatience and lack of sleep are contributing to my over spending. And my lack of skill at time conversion. I guess I'll just explore the land for now. Send a diplomat over or something. You're probly right, I probly can't afford it. I'm not going to bother editting my post because by the time I wake up tommorow, it'll all have happened anyway. This game excites me. I wish there was a fast foreward button.

Luxembourg would like to know if it can build a port on the southern edge of Italy. Simply because I need a sea port somewhere between my mainland and my African colony(s). In return I offer you free trade (previously it was tariffed) and full military support if you are attacked. I may even throw in a port somewhere in Mozambique for you once I'm done capturing it. Italy already has a bunch of ports, you're welcome to use them for trade. Also trade within the EC is free and military back up is mandatory if a member is attacked. What's the point of having an alliance if there's no benefits? Very good :) I have sent some explorers East of Germany to see whats out there. I will claim any previously unclaimed land I run into within 4 months (4 rl hours from this post) and as for my allegance I myself am currently aligned with the European Confederacy, and have an organization called COIN regarding imperialsim in Africa. My army currently has a handful of battleships, a small number of transport ships (multi-purpose for trade) 2000 Luxembourg elite troops (equipped with Isreali armaments). and a few million Zimbabwe citizens in the Zimbabwe militia. These are also armed mostly with Israeli equipment, some are still using their good ol' "boom stick". However their morale is very high, and they are very skilled with guerilla warfare. I'm still in control of a large sum of Argentinian troops, armed with what they came with as well as left over Israeli equipment. The Mozambique campaign is going very well, and although casualties were high, full control is expected within 2 months (2 rl hours)

:o :( I see your point, and I did promise to stick to realism. In my defense, I did have Russian troops also at my aid. You're right though, I have been spending alot. Even for the richest country around. I withdraw my LAART research for now. I will however do it again in a few years when I have more money. The fresh Argentian troops will replenish those in Mozambique, as the others are going to be released back to Argentina any day now. Russian troops are free to leave as they please, but are asked to please deposit their weapons in Zimbabwe first. I am reluctant to hear that you've declined my offer to join COIN. I call on the EC for military aid if Brazil happens to attack my collony (which I am having a hunch may just happen). East Zimbabwe is now slowly being converted into an agricultural field. Should be complete in a year or so.

Hostility against Religion
[hide=Teh Poll]Forum Username: RpgGamer Age: 17.41667 State (US only, do not give a city): East Coast USA Nation (do not give a city): USA Educational level: -Highschool Senior -Psyche Major 1. Have you ever attended a worship of any religion? Yes -by choice? Yes -What kind of worship? Judaism -Did you regularly attend this worship, by choice or parental guidance? By choice, but not very regularly 2. Do you consider yourself religious? -Yes, I do not keep kpsher, or observe sabbath, but everything else, I've done right including Bar Mitzvah and occasionally reading the Torah. I've read and understood large portions of the Old Testimate and have studied in a religious school for a good 7 years or so. 3. Is there a god, gods, or a supreme deity? -God created everything, but most is up for interpretation 4. Is there an afterlife? Only a heaven 5. How do you believe that existence came about? (in a nutshell): God was bored 6. Have you ever attended a worship of any religion that you do not consider yourself a part of? -What? Catholisism -Your thoughts on the experience: It was alright, but there's too many radicals 7. What are your thoughts on non Judeo-Christian Western religions? Remember that religion is a broad term so please be specific. Believe what you want. Just don't be violent or aggressive. 8. What are your thoughts on Judeo-Christian religions? Remember that religion is a broad term and that both of these groups have many subdivisions that have radically different beliefs and practices. As long as you don't bother any one else, all is well. 9. What are your thoughts on Asian religions? Remember that religion is a broad term so please be specific. I like Buddhism, and Confusionism specifically. 10. What are your thoughts on African religions? Remember that religion is a broad term, so please be specific. They're beliefs seem unrealistic, but mine probably sounds no different from their point of view. 11. What are your thoughts on South American religions? Remember that religion is a broad term, so please be specific. Same as African for the most part. 12. What are your thoughts on Aboriginal religions (any native group that was displaced, such as Native Americans, Maori, Aborigines, etc)? Remember that religion is a broad term, so please be specific. Same as above. 13. What are your thoughts on pagan religions (Wiccan, alternative, Satanic, and other non-traditional forms of worship)? Remember that religion is a broad term, so please be specific. Also note that many alternative and pagan practices are not affiliated with Satanic worship. If the religion you are currently enrolled in (or lack there of) is not improving you as a person - pick a new religion! 14. What are your thoughts on atheism, the belief that there is no supreme being(s)? Please remember that there are degrees to this belief, and that not all share the same thoughts. It seems more like a lazy thing to be honest, but I can see why there are non-believers. If they remain to be "good people" than I don't care whatr they beleive in. 15. What are your thoughts on agnosticism, the belief that a supreme being(s) exists, but the individual chooses not to worship it/them (or if one is unsure if a supreme being exists, but does not outright deny its existence)? If you believe in something, show it. Worship it. Don't just pay lip service. 16. Have you ever publicly chastised someone who believes in a religion/school of thought different than yours? -yes, but more for critisising my beliefs -I'm a Jew. They were atheist/agnostic. 17. If you belong to a religion or non-religion, please identify. -Did you consciously choose to follow this belief? No, but I think I would have anyway -Did you belong to another belief, by choice or force, before following this belief? I was given the option of Catholisism, but it didn't seem traditional enough. -Did you personally research (as in personally in the first person) options before coming to this belief? No. But I do not regret my choice. 18. Is intelligence (not IQ, but actual intelligence) correlated to one's belief in a religion or non-religion? Keep in mind that intelligence can not be measured by any science, this is simply your judgment call. I think religion ideally can benefit anyone greatly. 19. Does religion, in your observation, do good in the world? Please cite specific groups or denominations. In most cases in today's world...no. But this is truly unfortunate. If we could all just stop fighting, and go back to studying, everything would be just dandy. 20. Does non-religion, in your observation, do good in the world? Please cite specific groups or denominations. They do seem more peacful, albeit apathetic 21. Does religion, in your observation, do bad in the world? Please cite specific groups or denominations. It causes needless conflict 22. Does non-religion, in your observation, do bad in the world? Please cite specific groups or denominations. Apathy is no way to live life. I just can't understand their unwillingness to believe in something greater. No major bad, but doing nothing can be a bad thing. 23. Please list your experience with sexual education, including but not limited to: lectures by parents, schools, religion, or non-education. Please do not list your sexual experiences. lol. All I learned, I learned from schoolmates, media and sex-ed in school. 24. Have you engaged in sexual intercourse of any kind? Please do not list your sexual experiences. A yes or no will suffice. lol, yes. 25. What, in your opinion, defines "love?" A deep care and concern for another person. Loyalty and honesty are key. For relationships, attraction is also mildly nessesary. 26. Have you ever been in, or are now in, a relationship? -Is sex involved? yes and yes 27. Are you single/committed relationship/married? committed relationship, as it should be (unless single of course) 28. What, in your opinion, is sex's place in a relationship (or lack of relationship)? umm...it should be there in time. No need to wait for marriage though, that seems dumb. 29. Have you ever partaken in an illicit substance (excluding alcohol or marijuana)? -if so, what? No, alcohol, drugs and other addictions are beneath me. -Have you ever lost control of your actions while under the influence of an illicit substance? having never used one, no. 30. Have you ever partaken in marijuana? no -Do you habitually use this substance? no -Have you ever been "stoned?" no -Have you ever lost control of your actions while under the influence of marijuana? no 31. Have you ever partaken in the consumption of alcohol? no -Do you drink socially or alone? Or both? no -Have you ever been drunk? no -Have you ever lost control of your actions while under the influence of alcohol? no 32. Have you ever regretted a sexual encounter? no 33. Have you ever regretted using an illicit substance? (excluding hangovers) never used one, so N/A 34. Have you ever regretted using alcohol? (excluding hangovers) Same as above 35. Have you ever given serious thought (longer than 30 minutes in a year) to the existence of a supreme being(s)? Every week or so[/hide] Editted the hide tag. I didn't realize how big the poll was :o

I agree to the non-aggression pact, but will require another visit from the Pope. This time in Gabon, once we captured the country and calmed the citizens. With 60% of Gabon's citizens being Catholic, it's invaders inviting the Pope will ease relations between loyalists and the new government. Already, Port Gentil (2nd largest port of the city) has been captured and the army is fighting in the nation's capital: Libreville. Victory is near; the government is loosing support and resources due to our naval blockcade and their heavy reliance of imports. The lack of resources will force the people support the end of the invasion. Back home, Argentine scientists and engineers are working on a modern, heavy assault tank: the TA64 (Tanque Argentino 64). This tank will support our troops occupying Gabon and national security. Our imports to relation of exports has increased to 47%, a staggering increase for a few months. Several new leatherworking and meat packaging companies are being set up due to the increasing economic status. Three more submarines have been repaired from Lent's reign and are on route to Gabon. Deal. The Pope's visit will be under the same conditions as the last visit. Luxembourg's troops are ever so close to complete control of Mozambique. Only a few figure heads remain, and a few citizens of Zimbabwe have already started to settle in the west side. The Vatican military base has begun researching technology to begin production of LAARTs (Luxembourg Assault and Recon Transport). So far they look pricey, but should be able to carry a dozen troops, armed with 2 miniguns, an arsenal of anti-personnel bombs, and 3 dozen bunkerbusting missles. It guzzles fuel, but can easily span the distance of Europe without refueling. It moves similiar to a helicopter and bears a striking resemblance to this: [hide=][/hide]

My mistake. Japan, Iran, and Egypt are all invited to join COIN. As for Egypt, i have no plans for Northern Africa short of hosting a few miners and or military powers. I have no use for all of Africa I just need somewhere to put everyone. I may not even use North Africa for this purpose. I may just talk to Italy about it (who hasn't been very active as far as I can tell). My next generation population is now roughly 2 years old. Luxembourg has passed a law for education to start at age 4 until age 20, or 24 pending education level. Military service will be mandatory after age 20 unless furthering education. The Pope is itching to get some fresh air. Anyone want him to visit for a while? I ask only for borrowed troops in return. I'd prefer them all to be Catholic. and @Da_Latios: That's very generous of you. Someday, i may just return the favor :D

In light of Africa's takeover by Argentina, Brazil, and myself(Luxembourg) I will initiate an organization. I call it COIN. It stands for Community Of Imperialist Nations. This organization will ensure all imperialist nations will not step on each others' feet while colonizing in the African region. All other decisions are up to the respecitive legislation of each individual country. Basically, it's a non-aggression agreement. All who agree to these terms, please respond. Those who don't respond will be assumed to have declined the offer and shall be treated more hostily. In other news, the colonization of Mozambique is nearing completion (perhaps a few more rl hours). The Argentinian and Russian troops are stilll in service with Luxembourg for a few remaining months. A militia has been formed in west Zimbabwe to counter any possibble resistance or invasion. Mozambique is now 30% more catholic. Luxembourg's extra money from the rising taxes will be spent on constructing fighter planes and bombers. About a dozen of each. Construction shall be complete in 6 months or so. Diamonds have been discovered in Mozambique, and are en route to Isreal.

Success! With the troops borrowed from Argentina and Russia, Luxembourg now has full control over Zimbabwe. Casualties were insignificant, and all Russian troops will be returned in 1 year, after being stationed in Mozambique along with the Argentian troops. All Indian immigrants remaining (as Adrenal seems to want them back now, lol) have settled in Zimbabwe for a permanent stay. Luxembourg's population has increased 20% due to the lack of birth control. Vatican City has been closed to tourism, and converted into a military training center. The Pope has returned to Luxembourg, and is currently in his palace. I would also like to discuss a peacful relation with the country (Egypt I think?) who is taking over Northern Africa. I expect to have full control over Mozambique in 1 year. Zimbabwe is now 90% catholic, and a similiar fate will befall Mozambique. Diamond discovery has slighty fallen, however living conditions have been significantly improved in Zimbabwe, making it just as livable as Luxembourg itself. I am currently occupying and converting Mozambique.

Response to what question? I asked for manpower in return for diamonds, which is still open for negotiations, however my resources are a bit stretched these days, and I will need some time before this deal can take place. Unless of course, you feel like sending me some troops for my own conquering benefits. I also wanted a mutual truce of both non-aggresion and free trade. What are your terms? I give you troops if you supply me with the right amount of diamonds. I will use my handful of available airplanes to send you a fair amount of diamonds in coming months, but at the moment alot of them are being sent elsewhere. Expect the shipment within a year and a half. Unless Israel is willing to supply you with my diamonds to speed the process (as they are cutting them and making them more valuable). We shall see. Make them be delivered faster or I wont do the trade. Had to be tough didn't you :P Luxembourg bars 50% of all diamonds going to Israel for the next 5 months, instead sending it to Russia in exchange for troops and manpower. Once those 5 months are up I will continue sending my infux of diamonds to Israel for more money =P~ Still awaiting Argentinian troops to arrive I believe, I'll make my next major move when I next log in using the troops. I'm excited. Vatican City taxes are heavily reduced, while Luxenbourg's are heightened for the time being.

this game's giving me a headache. Strictly for my benefit to remember what's going on: In EC Diamonds go to Israel for export in exchange for weapons All trade through EC is tariffed Pope currently resides in Luzembourg, but is scheduled to visit Argentina in exchange for military support Diamonds have been promised to Russia in exchange for man power Waiting for Madagascar response to overthrow Mozambique Population will boom in less than 5 months Indian refugees are expected to arrive in Zimbabwe Construction of transport ships and planes, as well as a few battle ships is underway. whew.

Lent's offer still applies from me. Although in one condition. Since you do control the Pope, I will require for the Pope to make regular visits and participate in church-related activities here in Argentina. It's citizens are mostly Catholic and would feel most grateful if their religious leader came to town; a heightened moral and patriotic feeling. Also some funding to create charities for the poor. In which, our military still consists mostly of the equipment from the last regime. 12 Battleships and 2 aircraft carriers. We're planning on building a super-aircraft carrier soon enough. Our army consists on a good number of battle tanks, APCs and heavy infantry. Roughly 150,000 active troops and gaining many more due to the calmer times after the coup. We will also start exporting several leather-goods, such as car seats and clothing. Particular countries with several car manufacturers or fashion companies might be interested with a trade. Last but not least, the Royal Palace has been 1/3 finished. This palace includes living quarters for the King (me), a public park, a outdoor shopping plaza, and historical and scientific museums. The police force has been heavily updated and will continue to be so; Argentina was and is a dangerous and crime-fulled place and I wish to change that. Old laws have been changed in choice of more correct ones for the good of the people. (Can you believe that a minor cannot be charged of a crime? A 16 year old can murder his parents and he won't get in trouble :wall: ) Once we get our full balance on the swing, we will start creating super highways throughout the countryside, making transportation of goods easier. I agree to your terms, on the promise that the Pope will be protected by not only my best troops, but your own best catholic troops as well. I control how long he stays (I'll give you two months on this particular visit)I will require you to pick us up, my plane is doing other buisness. Seeing as how annoying having only a few planes is, I'm going to start constructing my own. EC is fine, we've aquired another country (forgot which already, lol) and lost Finland and Sweden a different group that starts with an "n" Nopec? I think. Vatican is a colony of Luxembourg and does not expect to be part of EC. Same for Zimbabwe.

I've decided to cut all funding toward Franch advancement in weaponry due to inactivity. With this extra money, I am looking to buy food supplies, mostly agricultural. I seem to be lacking in the department of food for my growing population. I'll pay extra for delivery.
