Last I saw, Guthan was 8m and dropping fast.

Hey there. Well first let me say I superheat all my ores, but I'm also 99 rc, so I can make lots of natures very fast so it's no problem for me. That aside, I still recommend doing it. The magic exp is really good, and it's faster to smith too. The BEST part of it, however, is how often you have to bank. Because you can superheat, you can mine 3x the amount of ores or more with higher ores every trip. And that means faster mining. It definitely is how I would do it if I were you. :D

What can be the problem with my computer - CPU checked
mastermule52 replied to Kill_Life's topic in Tech and Computers
At 6:55, go to your Task Manager (CTRL + SHIFT + ESC on most WinXP machines) and sort by CPU (click the "CPU" header until the bigger numbers are at the top.) If CPU is not a column you can sort by, go to view --> select columns --> check the CPU box. When RS starts to lag, check to see what process(es) is/are using lots of your CPU. Google them, or if you're unsure, post the process name here, and I'd be happy to help you with the ordeal. -
When it comes to this particular part, I've seen many common lay people do this task. It's actually a pretty easy operation. It's only as $50 part as I recall too. Also, many times the cost of the repair shop is half as much as the cost of the equipment.

Considering each member has the oppertunity to put their RSN into their forum profile, it would be quite simple to gather the stats given those. The only problem is that, given the massive userbase tip.it has, that would mean a lot of cpu cycles and bandwidth, all of which cost money. :(

I only speak from what I have experienced. This is that I have yet to find someone who is satisfied with their service they receive from McAfee. I don't "hate on it" because "it's cool." For the record, I don't personally use AVG. However, it is free, and it is fairly low hassle. I know it's non-free version is not worth the money, either. Windows is not "ghey," it certainly has it's purposes. Like any OS, it has it's upsides and downsides. Same with Mac, same with Linux. You needn't flame me because we disagree. :-) ----------- Back on topic, I also was wondering if you're actually ABLE to update, or if that crashes it too?

try pointing it ti "./text.txt" instead of hardcoding it. That's dot slash text dot txt. . = present working directory (on unix at least, i don't know it is it the same on dos systems)
-
If the contents of the file are simply text, and aren't going to change, why not simply hardcode the text into your app?
-
Yes it has DRM on it to prevent you from taking screenshots. You can avert this by loading it into your own movie in windows movie maker (click start, click run, type "moviemk", press enter.) Export that movie and you can do with it what you want.
-
They should pay users to use McAfee, not the other way around. AVG is definitely the way to go. But don't uninstall it if it isn't your computer. ;-) And for sure don't uninstall anything until you get the other installed, or at LEAST downloaded.
-
wait... the text file is in the bin folder?? by bin directories i mean such folders as: C:\windows C:\windows\system32 I should have been more specific by calling it the PATH directories etc... The pwd (present working directory) is whereever your script runs from. So say you have your script in c:\scripts\textbuttontester if you have a c:\scripts\textbuttontester\text.txt it will load that. if you don't have that one, it will look for C:\windows\system32\text.txt if you don't have that one, it will look for C:\windows\text.txt if you don't have that one, it will look for C:\windows\system32\wbem\text.txt if you don't have that one, it should say file not found. That might be a little different, depending on if you have a different PATH variable than normal, but you get the idea. edit - awesome - i'll be here if you need more help.

I've seen people have great success in Eclipse, because of how much it does for you. Personally, I like jGRASP because of how little it does for you. If I'm on a unix box, I use gedit when I can, and vim when I can't. But you probably don't have that problem ;-) As to what you need to do, remember - java.util is your friend!!!!! Break your problem down into small steps, and solve the small problems, and your entire program will just fall into place (after countless hours of debugging, of course!)
-
Do you want that file to open ONLY text.txt? Or are you looking to browse for files? I would assume that it uses the order it searches for files, as long as you don't hard code the file path, would be the pwd, any defined bins, and then the system bins.

Magic: alch, or maybe the mage training arena Strength: Assuming you get about 60 zeal per game, you'll only need about 700 games to get level 75 from level 64. now this 700 games * 240 hp exp = 168k hp exp, which added to your level 69 hits already puts you at almost 72 hits. That shouldn't be much of a problem. If you get some good melee armor, like Iron Plate and Black Dragonhide, you should be able to hold your own. Your rune scim should do plenty of damage as well. I recommend bringing food and pots, I mean it's only for 700 games. Just remember to stop as soon as you get 50 zeal if you REALLY don't want hp exp. But considering how high it is already, I'd say get it, because you'll hit level 72 pretty fast anyway. Hope this helps!! ps : here's the calculations I did for your PC points. Lvl xp/tix hp-xp req'd xp tix total (req'd xp / (hp xp + xp/tix) ) 64 683 240 38,416 43 65 704 240 42,413 46 66 726 240 46,826 49 67 748 240 51,699 53 68 771 240 57,079 57 69 794 240 63,019 62 70 817 240 69,576 67 71 840 240 76,818 72 72 864 240 84,812 78 73 888 240 93,638 84 74 913 240 103,383 91

An understandable concern. However, it could be restricted to pointing to the RuneHead listing by simply requesting the name of the clan as it shows for RuneHead (although a user could follow the link from there and at that point be exposed to the same potential risks.) As far as the "not really needed," the same could be said about virtually any improvement/feature, or indeed the entire site. I do agree with the notion of "risks outweighing the benefits," for sure if it's not restricted to the RuneHead, and maybe even if it is.

So what you're saying is... we could get people to line up, and all do this teleport at the same time... at which point we would have a SERIES OF TUBES!!! AHHHHHH!! I'll say this is quite nice :-) I like it :-)

I believe the problem he is having is not in the format of his music: it's in that he doesn't know how to add the music files to the movie... You should be able to click Import Audio or Music on the side, then switch to timeline view, then drag the music file from the middle storage area to the timeline where you want it to start playing.

Best Graphics card to get on a budget?
mastermule52 replied to Predator's topic in Tech and Computers
Save your money: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 814102606R Put that in my machine with an AMD X2 3800 with 1Gb ram, runs Oblivion like a beaut! I recommend getting an ATI Fan override though, I have a link at home (at work atm) if you're interested in that. Otherwise it sometimes goes loud before you want it to. This puppy runs at 92-97̢̮â¬Å¡ÃâúC when it's in intense graphics situations (like Oblivion does) but it's well within it's operating specs. Nice if you want to heat your coffee too :-) -
Skill guide: Runecrafting
mastermule52 replied to Kiara_Kat's topic in Completed Website Corrections
Regarding the claim I find you can craft a trip of fire runes via the duel arena/castlewars in about half the time of an abyssal trip. A typical abyssal trip ends up being about 90 seconds. This is 40 trips an hour. At 54 essence per trip (which is dangerous but possible never the less) this yields 21,600 experience per hour. Crafting fire runes I find to come in at approximately 45 seconds per trip (80 trips an hour). At 54 essence per trip this yields 30,240 per hour. There is no need to calculate slowdowns such as forgetting teleports, talking to friends, or breaking pouches, as these will effect both methods at about the same rate and their impact is negligible. And obviously, neither of these come close to the amounts of experience per hour you can achieve hiring runners. I personally have acquired over 60,000 experience in an hour, and I know crafters who have beaten that record (without any sort of cheats either.) In either case, I will admit that abyssing is my preferred method of crafting runes, because of it's massive profit potential, but what is stated is not accurate. Also it should be noted that while it consumes more rings, the castle wars bank fire rune method is faster than the edgeville bank fire rune method because when teleporting to castle wars you typically end up closer to the bank than when teleporting to edgeville. Thanks for hearing me out! -
Something changed with goal-&statsigs?
mastermule52 replied to hyjack01's topic in Forum Updates and Suggestions
Draynor.net recently changed administrators, and it was a very unexpected change. It make take some time for their services to be back up to regular status. -
There is already a tag for your RSN, and associated with that is a link to the RS high scores. Now, I understand that this link simply takes the generic link to the high scores, http://hiscore-web.runescape.com/lang/e ... .ws?user1=, and appends whatever you put in the text field as your RSN. Well, I had two thoughts. One: on page generation, have it use the default comparative high scores (provided of course both users have defined their RSN's in their profile.) This will load your high scores compared to that of the other user, provided you both defined your RSN in your profile. So instead of " " + $theirRSN + "" make it "" + $theirRSN + "" where: $highScoreLink = "http://hiscore-web.runescape.com/lang/en/aff/runescape/hiscorepersonal.ws?user1=" $compareHighScoreLink = "http://hiscore-web.runescape.com/lang/en/aff/runescape/compare.ws?user1=" $compareSeperator = "&user2=" Obviously, if $theirRSN == $myRSN just display the original... no need to compare to yourself. Also if theirs is undefined display nothing, as it currently is. My second idea involves something similar. Currently, it displays the clan name, if it's defined. I propose another field in the profile for a link to underly this field to which we can link to a clan homepage or a member list, if the link field is defined. Thoughts, questions, concerns? Find a syntax error? Yeah, I'm not a php coder :P nor a JavaScript :P did my best tho, the pseudocode should be enough for a competent coder to figure out :P But if you see one let me know I'll fix it. ;-) Either way, all mature, constructive feedback is appreciated. :-) Thanks for reading!
