Things you should never ask!
My least favourite question that girls ask me: "Can I have some chips?" This being 5 minutes after I offered to buy them some chips while I was buying myself some. Never, ever, eat food in front of women. Despite claiming that they're not hungry, or they 'just have a small bite', you turn around and wow! Your food's dissapeared! If they'd just asked when I offered, I would have bought them something, but no! They have to steal my food! I suppose it's that mental image of 'calories don't affect me if I didn't pay for it!' I have a lot of friends who seem to think that, which means that I now either eat in private or buying more food than I can eat, just to allow for thieving.

Songs you hate that you love :)
I hate evanessence. I actually hate them. And yet I like their songs. How odd is that? I refuse to buy the album and give them money, but I used my brothers version to put it on my iPod. Except the name is isn't Evanessence, it's 'Seether wannabies' or something like that. long story

Xbox 2 (360) Debutes tonight
Who cares about the processors inside? The Xbox is around twices as powerful as the Gamecube (possibly three times), and the new Zelda looks about 3 times as good as Halo 2. Both the PS2 and Xbox have raw power, but with crappy software, which means that to get semi decent graphics the developers have to spend ages just trying to unlock the power. With the Gamecube they're able to push the hardware easily, leaving more time for actual gameplay. I expect it will be the same for the next generation. Plus, that looks awful. The controller looks weak and pathetic, and the box itself looks like it will fold in half if you place a book on top of it.

Solid Snake or Sam Fisher?
I'm going to have to go with snake. The only thing he lacks is psychic powers. Seriously, he can do everything else (including survive otherwise impossible situations)

Would just like to publically boast...
Harsh, but you sound happy with your decision. btw, proms rule, I've had 3 (yr 11, 12 and 13. 13 one was 2 saturdays ago). So much fun. I never bothered with a limo, I got my mates to drive. Put pink ribbons on the bonnet and everything, looked so cool. Anyway, definately stay on for further education. Even if you don't get the grades or anything it is such a laugh. One of my friends stayed on just for the experience and free food, then didn't turn up for his exams. Hey, he's a farmer, what did you expect? ;) I finish year 13 week tomorrow, year 12s finish tomorrow, and our year 11s finished today. The exam's arn't too bad, (GCSEs are fairly easy, there's just a lot of them), and this year I only have 7. Plus,I have almost a month of study leave before my first exam, so I should have a nice summer. Week Friday will be brilliant though. We all come back to school in the evening, the school pays for everything (including alchohol), then we're going out afterwards. And as it's the last time we'll most people, people will 'risk' more, if you know what I mean (I won't compromise my principles, don't worry. I can see some of the other Christian's here thinking 'hypocrite'). Anyway, have fun at the prom. And talk to your date when you get there, you never know ;)

pokemon stadium for firered and leafgreen
There is nothing wrong with pokemon. I own at least one version of each set, except for the latest, fireRed ones. And there's nothing wrong with it. If anyone here doesn't like pokemon, go and find a gameboy emulator, get a ROM, and play it. I guarentee you will be hooked. I lent my GBA and Ruby to a very anti-Pokemon friend of mine. 6 hours later he was begging me to let him save over my game so he could carry on later.

Tennis Ball Color debate
Which is probably why they appear green to me, as I've only ever played on green clay courts. Though I would agree, they are yellow.

North Korea
I hope the image will come up, if not, it will probably be a link or something. That's a map of the Korean peninsula. See that country in dark green, right above North Korea? That would be china, the source of the vast majority of US corporation's products, and also known as the second superpower of the world. It is also the one country that the US is either afraid of now, or will be afraid of in the future. There is no way that bush will do anything that close to North Korea. I believe that China once promised to protect North Korea in the past (not sure though), and war with N. Korea, will also mean War with China, which will mean WW3, end of the world scenario. It won't happen. Either China or the US will realise this, and stop whatever testing they're doing. If anything, Bush will allow China to deal with N Korea, and the USA will stear well clear if they know what's good for them.

Things you should never ask!
"Do you like me?" "Where's your homework?" "Does this dress make me look fat?" "How has psycology undermined traditional views of the conscience?" (My question in my Philosophy paper this morning) "What's wrong with poking girls?" (with your finger, in their side, to annoy/infuriate/flirt with them. Not what you were thinking of) "Is it wrong if..." (if you have to ask, then it is probably wrong) I can go on...

THE STUPIDEST PETITION EVER!!!
Oh man, I would have a field day debating with these people. Mayjest 1 - weirdos 0. I especially like this one: I never liked anime much, though I have been watching Naruto since my friend copied all 130 odd episodes for me. It ain't bad. Not brilliant, but it isn't bad. I think the best flaw in this argument is when he says "I cannot understand how any half ways intelligent people would want to waste any time and watch this uninspired, no-talent trash anyway. Kids would be a lot better off brushing up on their homework and study a bit more anyway. The rest of the world is passing us by and turning out smarter students than the USA, and wasting time on this type of worthless junk is one of the reasons. Anime does not teach anything but how to be stupid and violent, besides being the absolute worst animation in the history of the world anyway!" Oddly enough, one of the countries turning out brighter students and young adults would be Japan, who's children happen to watch a lot of anime. So I wonder where the idea that it doesn't teach anything come's from. I'd rather watch Pokemon than Desperate Housewives anyday. Oh yeah, while I'm on the subject. There are American shows with pornography in. Such as desperate housewives. That show wasn't aimed at children, though a lot of them watched it. Neither is the anime with pornography aimed at children. Lots of parents think that, because it's animated, it's good for kids. Not so. When different cultures merge, you have to think, not just assume that the rest of the world will adopt your standards. And so much for Anime ruining America's Morals, Hey Arnould encourages girls to have unhealthy obessions with boys! Ban it!

Poem: I put 10p in my piggy bank, To save for a rainy day. It rained the very next morning. Yipee! Hip hip hooray! Poem 2: When I am sad and lonely, When I think all hop has gone, When I walk along High Holborn I think of you with nothing on. Ok, I admit it, neither of these were mine. Hacker Who Hacked Himself ( A funny story )
Wow, that's funny. I can just imagine seeing him there, gloating that his hacking program is taking the Victime out, when he decides to change the music he's playing. The library is now non-existant. That must have pissed him right off! Well, my imagination works fine. Too bad it can't have happened though, I'm sure even a 'virus' would let him know that it was performing the operation on it's own computer.

Who will you be voting for?
You're right that's really going to reassure a mother of lost their child in a bombing. "Oh thank lord my child is dead but the americans think it was best for them in the long run!" Do you really think that Saddam would have started producing Warheads with just about every single country with a powerful army in the world be riding his back about it? No he would have known that one mistake would have ment war. I really find it hard to believe how British AND American people can reelect someone that lied to the country in easily the most serious matter of current times. Because it was either that or re-elect someone who openly admitted that he would have gone to war even if there was proof that we would never find WMDs before hand! As to what was said before: The cons want to get rid of illegal immigrants. People who come to work in England because they get paid more here than at home. The BNP want rid of all immigrants. That includes all the doctors and nurses that allow the NHS to function. Voting in the British Nazi Party would not do anyone any favours - when the nationalist leader's children start dying because there arn't enough doctors and nurses, they might realise that they made a mistake. UKIP want out of Europe completely, which would ruin our economy, especially anything involved in import/export. Cons want to 'freeze' Europe where it is, don't go further in, but don't pull out. This wouldn't work either, as the constitution will happen eventually, and there is nothing they can do about it. To be honest, I'm glad Blair got back in. The potential of a Labour government in charge of G8 is historic, we could see a solution to AIDs within the year, and a halving of poverty worldwide in 10. We could see pollution reduced, and a decent world provided for our children (and as most people here are children, that means you lot). Yeah, he shouldn't have gone to war, but his reduced majority means that, no matter how much Bush begs, he will never do it again. I agree with what was said earlier, this is a parliamentary democracy, not a presedential one. We saw far too much of the leaders, and barely any of the rest of the cabinet. I have no idea who is in the shadow cabinet, except that I wouldn't trust the Shadow Chancellor as far as I could throw him. Oh, and back to Entangle's quote. Yeah, maybe we will be seen as doing the right thing. We 'provided' a country with democracy. Or, forced a system which doesn't sit favourably with their religion upon them. But what history sees is not important. It is well known that History is written by the victors. History would forgive Bush for staging an all out assault upon China tomorrow, because ultimately, Bush and his supporters would be the only ones left, protected in their concrete bunkers. And as they would write the history, history would forgive them. Never trust the line 'History will forgive us'. Any history written by anyone in the Middle East will never forgive us, nor the Americans. Because we went to war with neither authorisation, nor a due cause. And frankly, for that, we deserve everything they throw at us.

The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy
I thought someone might end of comparing the LotR book - film conversion with HHGTTG book - film conversion. Note that I haven't seen HHGTTG, nor have I read the books in full (my mate wanted his copy of the first two back, and I read So Long and Thanks for All the Fish befor ehand), so I'm just going on my general impression. For LotR, the films were way better than the books. Tolkien admitted that he wrote the books purely for his own enjoyment, and it shows. The fact that the ending is given away during the prologue is evidence of this. The books themselves (especially the Frodo and Sam one's the Legolas/Aragorn and crew less so), are dull, insipid and boring, and were a chore to read. After the first book, I only read to say that I finished it, I never actually enjoyed reading it. The films meanwhile are entertaining, with a few lulls during Frodo/Sam scenes that went on for a *little* bit too long. HHGTTG seems to be in reverse. The books travel so fast from one scene to the other, and are so random than lesser minds cannot understand nor keep up, that it almost forces you to enjoy it, even if you don't get the jokes. The film for some reason, slows down, making it less enjoyable when you realise how unfunny Douglas Adams really was. A big mistake people made with the HHGTTG series was mistaking randomness for funniness. Fortunately the pacing of the books was so that it didn't matter, but once it's slowed down in the film it becomes dreary and a chore.

guy cheerleaders....?
'Cause some people on this forums are either... -Young, and use "ga*" as an insut -Brainwashed by media, and the "cool" people, so they think anyone that doesn't follow them needs to be put down. I (and my gay friend) use gay as an insult. There are three meanings in the word: homosexual, happy, and just gay. That's all there is to it. And people are homophobic because they don't know any better. Before my friend came out, I was fairly scared of them. Since he came out (and other people that I knew but wasn't good friends with turned out to be gay as well), I've got used to it. They're still normal people, they just act differently. To be honest, the sight of him pulling a bloke at a party is a huge turn off, but then, seeing a guy and a girl pulling (where the guy isn't me) doesn't turn me on either. But if my mate does try and kiss me, I will probably kill him ;)

The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy
I've heard it was crap, but I still want to see it. Largely out of tribute to Douglas Adams, probably the only person in the world more random and annoying than me. For evidence of Adam's randomness, look no further than the whale in space. You know what I mean...

guy cheerleaders....?
Yeah, but how far do you get with them? And most guy's meet girls by dancing in a club anyway, I'm just doing it in a different way, and getting paid for it. Plus, at my level, there is a 'minimum standard' that the girls are at (unfit and ugly dancer's don't get jobs), so I have the pick of the cream of the crop. Which is worth dancing for.

.::100k for whoever can give me a new name::.
cupcake - the coolest word in english. Seriously, say it aloud, you'll see what I mean. 2hot4u is always a classic internet name. not amazingly original, but it works. The way I thought of my original name (Alterno, not Mayjest) was to twist the word 'alternate'. Then I found out someone on hotmail already had it, so I had to make up something else instead. For some reason, I thought of Mayjest. Weird, huh? Something from Garth Merengi's Darkplace would be cool as well.

Who will you be voting for?
No matter how much the conservatives or UKIP will tell you, we cannot pull out of Europe. The financial consequances would break our country. Sure we get some 'beurocracy' from Brussels (which I don't have a problem with, a Human Right's Court is always a good thing), and we get some dodgy trade deals, but for every deal not in our favour there are three in our favour. Britain is the 4th largest economy in the world (largely thanks to Brown, not Thatcher), and Europe will do whatever they can to keep us in the Union. So staying in will be far more benifical than pulling out.

guy cheerleaders....?
I see nothing wrong with it. I dance (Jazz, used to to modern and tap, but I sucked), and I'm not gay. It is, in fact, a great place to meet girls (mentioned this on the 'how do you know if a girl likes you' thread). You dance, get fit (for the other thread about working out and such, I have a six pack, pretty 0 ounces of fat reserves, and some of the most toned muscles of guys I know, all through dancing and karate), and hang around with girls in skin tight clothing. More than that, but there are certain routines which require uncompromising positions. Which cheerleading would only aggravate. (For example, I've got further with some of the popular girls than any of the popular guys) Plus, the girls are usually more comfortable around you because they're 'used' to you, which makes for great atmospheres at parties. Dancer's in england (and cheerleaders in america) are usually the popular girls, and I get invited to all their parties (despite my unusual geekiness), simply because I'm good friends with them. I met two of my ex's through dancing, and of the two girls I have my eye on right now, one is in my dance class, the other in my drama class. Oddly enough, my drama piece with this girl puts us in 'uncompromising' positions as well ;) Anyway, there is nothing wrong with male cheerleaders. If they're gay, so what? The only other guy in my dance class is gay, and we're good mates. He takes the girls out shopping before the dance classes, I take the girls out to dinner or one of our houses after class (well, not every week, but you see how it works). For me, it's a win win relationship. I get the girls, he gets the labour of having to hang around with them during the day. Unless I'm going out with them, in which case I have to do it. But I usually enjoy shopping with a girlfriend more than shopping with 'just' a female friend. Back on topic: Nothing wrong with male cheerleaders. They seem pretty smart to me.

Who will you be voting for?
I'm off to the polling booths after this, to vote Lib Dems or Labour. Never conservatives. Never every ever conservatives. There is so much wrong with their policies it's funny. And to those planning on BNP? You read their manifesto, or just protest vote? Their manifesto is: Close all borders. Full stop. Call up the entire army, stick them on the south coast to keep out immigrants. Force every family in the country to buy an assault rifle (seriously), don't force them to know how to use it, and allow anyone who looks vaguely like an immigrant to be shot on sight. And second or third generation immigrants (born in this country, but have parents or grandparents that weren't) will be 'politely' asked to leave. Translation - anyone not a WASP (white anglo-saxon Protestant), leaves the country or gets shot. The British Nazi Party are worse than the KKK and Hitler combined. (N.B. Yes I know the BNP actually means British National Party, but in my opinion Nationalism = Nazism, they're as bad as each other) Anyway, my vote. I would vote Labour simply because of their policy on Poverty (Britain is in charge of the G8 this year, Labour will force Africa, Poverty and Climate onto the agenda. The Conservatives will try and work on getting out of Europe. Which is gonna be more productive?). Note, that if Blair goes to war for no reason again, then Labour will lose my vote permanently. At least until Bush or Blair is out of power. (I reckon we only went to war because someone had to control Bush. Could you imagine the mess Basra would be in if the Americans were there alone? Basra had about 3 times as many insurgents as Fallujah, and Fallujah is in a right state by itself) So it looks like I'm gonna vote Lib Dems, simply because it will hopefully knock the conservatives out of power in my area. Plus, the 50% tax above 100k sounds good to me (note, you only get charged 50% on money over 100k. If you earn 150k, then 100k is taxed at the earlier percentage (40%ish) and 50k is charged at 50%. Leaving you with 85k, at least. Which is still more than 5 times the average wage in England). So yeah, looks like I'm off to the library to vote for Liberal Democrats. Don't vote conservatives! They won't just ruin our country, they'll ruin Europe, and destroy any change of reducing AIDS or world poverty.

How tall are you??
Amen! I'm only 5' 10", maybe 9 or 11, I haven't measure myself in a while, and it changes everytime. Either up or down. (' = feet and " = inches, right?) Ironically enough, I was always in the first few to get picked when I played basketball at school (around 3 years ago, I haven't turned up to a games lesson in sixth form). Largely because I can jump ludicrously high for my height. You know that test they do where you stretch, the place a marker there you reached to, then you jump and touch as high as you can. I got the highest in the year, and third highest the school had ever seen.

Happy birthday to me!
Happy birthday. Battle Royale is one of the greatest films of all time. It's awsome. And seeing a movie or whatever when you're actually allowed to, I don't think it's cooler. When I became 18, all I thought of was "great, now I'm legally allowed to do everything I've done for the past 5 years."

Fallen asleep in school
Thursday periods 1 and 2 (double pure maths) always gets me. grrr, P5. Tuesdays periods 6 & 7 sometimes get me, stupid philosophy. The best place I ever fell asleep in was when I was watching the 3rd Lord of the Rings in the cinema. After the Battle of Minas Tirith, it's very boring, yet it still goes on for another hour! Woke up when my best mate and his girlfriend started to try and climb over me. Cheeky scumbags were gonna leave me there. Which was odd, as I was their ride home.
