The stupidity of summoning...
That still presents the problem of allowing you to train a skill along side another skill. I.e. summoning and mage in the example I gave (summon beast, fight monster, high alch yew longs). Obviously if summoning is going to be appealing to the average scaper, it is going to have to have high level rewards. So by summoning and killing monsters while alching, you are getting 2 skills higher + making money in half the time. If it allowed you to train combat skills as well, this skill would be severely overpowered. My point is that within Runescape as we know it, this skill does not fit, it cannot fit or else it would make many exsisting skills obselete. Of course people would still use the other skills but why do a skill that only allows experiance in one area when you can get summon/mage or summon/range or summon/combat? It is kind of like the slayer skill but in the slayer skill you have to be engaged the entire time and there is always the oppurtunity to die. If summoning is to be as it traditionally is, it would allow you to make tons of money with little effort.

a) If you have the runes (or arrows) you can do this already B) You can only have a finite amount of runes so not indefinitely. While this is true, I believe that you fail to see my point. In circumstances that involve the usage of runes or arrows or even halberks, there is still the oppurtunity to die. I am a mage and while in the Ogre Shaman cave I was safe-spoting the blue dragons and accidently walked around the rock and got hit for a 47 instantly killing me. I lost tons of items, I had been there for quite some time, as well as the 30k air and choas runes. If you summoned up a beast to do you biding then told it to kill something while you sit over to the side (probably high alching) then there would never be an oppurtunity for you to die. This of course is me assuming that summoning will be after the traditional sense. This is not Runescape, this is Lemonade Stand.

Funny you should mention that, this is a General Discussion forum anyway. That is exactly what this forum is for, discussing. I did not complain, I am merely asking why people think Jagex would introduce a skill that, in my reasoning, would have little benefits to other skills. That is the depth of Runescape, you level mining to level smithing, you level smithing to fight, level crafting, level ranged, etc; you level ranged to get better drops, you get better drops to afford better gear, and the cycle continues. How would a summoning SKILL increase that depth? To me it would not hence my question.

well first of all, how is making another spell book or another skill any different? The second problem can easily be solved: 1. your own monsters could not give you xp 2. Make it impossible to kill your own monsters, only decommissioning 3. best one- make it simply inefficient or not worthwhile to kill your own monsters 1. Adding it to the exsisting mage books would allow the experiance given to go to skills that are already established instead of making a whole new skill that would not offer too many benefits that I can see. 2. I said to 'fight in your stead' which in fact means that your summoned beast would fight other monsters instead of you fighting them [the other monsters], I never implied fighting your own monsters, that would be pointless. Unless you could soul trap... well hmm that offers an interesting look into summoning as well... I still like the body part though.

How would it work? As the system is set up with in Runescape at this time, mages use runes in order to cast their spells. Summoning being a spell, I think would probably involve the same, possibly with a body part of one of the beasts that you were summoning ( that would not stack... ok that could work). My problem with the whole idea is that summoning as a skill would not have any beneifts. It could be an addition to the mage skill but not a free standing one. Crafting for instance gives jewelry, armor, staff, etc; mining gives ores; even slayer gives the benefit of new armors and better drops. What would summoning offer. Heck even hunting gives the oppurtunity to wear weight rudicing capes and gives a source of needed items such as feathers for fletching or fishing and assorted items that enhance other skills (barb tailed harpoon among others). Summoning would just be another fighting skill that would serve to add no depth to the game. I just do not see why it is thought of as a potential skill.

Why does summoning get such a welcome in regards to a new skill. Runescape really is not built for a skill like that. More-so wouldn't summoning just be added into one of the existing or possibly even create another mage-book? What benefits would summoning have except to make farming monsters that much easier. Imagine if you could summon a lesser demon to fight in your stead and when it died you summon up another to take it's place. If you had the runes to do it you could fight indefinitely. Like I said Runescape really is not built for a skill such as this. Why then is it constantly thought of as the most likely new skill?

Runecrafting: How long for 91?
Isnt World 16 25 each trade not 26. Might need to recalculate your numbers. 28 total spots, 1 for rune ess (noted), one for cash, what is the third item you have to have? You wear the robes and the tiara so no need for anything else.... If you are right though, (I will check), that will severly mess up my numbers. CRAP, Airs... yep need to redo them but looks like I will do it tomorrow at work :D Actually it is just 3 more gold per ess. Also times are off. yeah I will have to redo it. Dang it.

Help With Hypercam - Please
I am not familar with Hypercam or the file extensions that result from recording. However, you probably need a movie editing program such as Windows movie maker to edit the video. That way you can choose the parts you want and even add transitions from one scene to another. Other than that I really am not to knowledgable in Hypercam. I use a modified Fraps.

hmmm, try using range on one monster, i doubt the mage and range xp will differ.... but here's a question, if the xp for damaging monsters with mage is reduced, is the xp for casting the spell reduced as well? Well using this method I really was not relying on the experiance from the spell being cast. That is minimal to the possible amount of damage/exp I receive. er received. You do have a point for other casters though. yeah, for people who use burst or modern magics, it's important to know if they get the amount of xp for casting it normal. I am at work and do not have internet at the house, I am moving, if someone would look into this I would be very appreciative.

DT and pures
My secret of success was the canon and ring of recoils. I pretty much did not hit them at all, was too low level. It was a breeze. Just make sure to keep health up and you should be fine. Especially with slayer dart. That will make it easier because you are nearly always garaunteed damage. BTW, I killed the Barrelchest thing at level 65 with 1 defense by the end. I used sharks and rings of recoil. You cannot use prayer so I basically let it kill itself :D I add this just to show the usefulness of the rings. Only on quest mobs though, otherwise do not waste your time or your saphires :P

White Knight Ranks.
Nope and Nope. You can use whatever armor you want, I did not even use armor, I set my canon up in the black knight stronghold of Travelry and high alched yew longs. Good game White Knights. Also you just need the total not each rank plus the next so I think you need a total of 1300 kills and that is it... unless you kill white knights of course.

Does this go for consumables as well? I am a mage that uses Ice Barrage on the island. I still get insane experiance considering I am hitting 16+ on 4 or 5 monsters but it still costs me runes... ah well tis is life I guess.

Runecrafting: How long for 91?
From my level, using World 16 airs, it would take me 3 months playing 2 hours a day. I would buy all the ess for 40 each and at level 55 I will start actually making money off the process and would end up with a 37m profit. Not too shabby. I am not too sure if Nature running can even come close to that.

House: portal room
I believe that the portals stay tuned to where you have them set as long as you do not remove the focus in the middle. I think that is what keeps them set. When I upgraded my portals I do not think I had to reset the portals.

Question about Tower of Life.
I am at work and have been trying to figure out a good way to level Herblaw. I have tons of herbs and just need seconds. As such i think that Tower of Life would be a great way to accomplish that. My question is this: Can you use noted items in order to make the beasts. In other words could I take tons of cowhides in noted form to make a Unicow and just use the horns that it drops as the second item. Is this possible? Thanks in advance.

Construction
TO conserve the most money do the following. build crdue chairs til level 19. at 19 switch to oak chairs and build them til you can build Oak bookcases then oak armchairs. Do this til level 32. At 32 build a kitchen and power build larders to desired level. Building other rooms costs money and honestly your house will not stay in the same form you originally built it in.
