  1. D V - What a star you are, I've unblocked the IP address & now have full access to the site again  . Thank you very much
  2. Hi I think I've mistakenly added TIp.it's IP address to a list of banned sites on my Firewall (during a overly rigourus McAfee scan where I banned anything I didn't recognise!!). Since then, I've not been able to access Tip.It & therefore am guessing that if I remove the IP address from my banned list it will probably work again. I've also posted in Tech forums but no-one seems to go there!! Thanks in advance for all your help

  4. I haven't been able to get to main Tip-it page for 3 days now, however, can get straight onto forums!!
  5. You need to reset as soon as you have completed all the possible floors otherwise the system thinks you are repeating a floor you have already done & as such won't generate any prestige. Once you have unlocked all 35 floors reset prestige & do them all again (doesn't matter what order, as long as you don't do them twice).
  6. I've kept a Slayer Log since 'When Smoking Kills' came out & I've now killed 19385 Abby Demons & have had 33 Whips in this time - My drop rate 587 per kill. Since Kuradal came out i've been killing in her Dungeon, previously Slayer Tower. I think nearly 20k kills is enough to get a pretty accurate average from.
  7. Stick one in your POH Menagerie - only 41 construction needed. Quickest by far
  8. Black Dragons & all Metals use Zammy Spear. Whip works perfectly well on all the rest. In terms on the Recover Special pot - like you I made a load of these on the way to getting Super Anti-Fires. I tend to use them when slaying Spiritual Mages, using SGS. On a task of 180 I use approx 10 doses of prayer pots & 12 doses of Recover Special. No problem taking them here are invent is empty apart from Prayer Pots & Extremes. I also take a few when slaying Dark Beasts - any additional pray points is a bonus. You've made them, can't trade them - so may as well use them :)
  9. Firstly, I am in favour of having to wear a Fire Cape to 'kill' Ice Strykewyrms - I'm 99 Slayer & have been for nearly 1 year now & I do not possess a Fire Cape, not through lack of ability as most people seem to be alluding to, rather a previous lack of desire. Not having a cape doesn't seem to have done me much harm over the years. That changed with the introduction of Wyrms & I will now go out of my way to get one. In my opinion, the ability to access 'Elite' updates should require a high skill level, which 93 Slayer certainly is, the Cape requirement just enhances the difficulty level. When I started on the road to 99 Slayer I was driven by the fact that at certain levels I would obtain the ability to receive a 'rare' or 'exclusive' drop, which would in time provide a nice boost for the Gp in my bank. At the moment the scarcity of the SOL (a result of the requirements & more importantly inability to farm them) keep the prices high - this to me is is the ultimate reward for the time spent obtaining the requirements initially. However, looking at the original post & Mod Emilee's 'intimation' that a compromise would be introduced got me thinking as to what this could be. Even though I current cannot access the Strykewyrms I certainly do not want the requriements to kill them to be watered down to such an extent that anyone with 93 Slayer can get them - this would drive the exclusivity of the drop down & in turn the financial rewards. My compromise suggestion would be as follows:- As we all know, the Fire Cape is given as a reward for completing the fight caves, which are 'run' by the TzHaar, who also drop the Obby items including the lower levels best friend, the Obby cape. What if the ability to upgrade the Obby Cape to 'Obsidian Cape of Fire' by exchanging say 1 million Tokkul & wearing this cape will then allow you to fight Ice Strykewyrms. The Cape stats would be exactly the same as a standard Obby cape & therefore the existing Fire Cape is not diminished in any way - the 'Status' of wearing a Fire Cape is retained, in fact wearing the Cape when killing Strykewyrms is likely to lead to some 'noob' comments being levelled at you!! The requirement to exchange for Tokkul would still involve the user actually spending some of their hard earned time killing TzHaar & my guess at Max Melee this would be around 12-13 Hours, which would still make the 1 1/2 - 2 hours to get to Jad more appealing. Any thoughts?
  10. Because I do it. You should know better :)
  11. Is it me, or are the idiots with Bullroarers in the GE starting to really wind people up? This is not a rhetorical question by the way!! I don't see why I should have to turn my sound down just because some Noob is being a complete prat. Sould Jagex block them from being used in conjested spaces, such as the GE?
  12. I've used several different setups. Mostly consisting of black dhide top and bottoms, dragon boots, neitiz helm, fury ammy, barrows boots, bandos gs for spec and zammy spear for fighting. Inventory and pack yak full of rocktails or sarabrews/restore pots. It is luck based - my stats are similar to your & I was struggling to finish him off. However, I managed to Spec 53 with BGS & that made it so much easier. Zammy Spear actually hit fairly often after that. I also went a bit overboard on bolts & used Dragonstone (e) that I had sitting in bank from PVP rewards - managed to get a few specs from these (40+ hits) & it helped. I also hit behind pillar so avoided the 75 attack. My Invent + Yak 4 Dose Super Str & Att pots 2 x 4 Dose Pray Pots Rune X Bow 50 Dragonstone (e) bolts 10 sharks Rest of Invent & Yak full of Rocktails. Armour & Weapons exactly the same as you.
  13. I'd cancel task - they are poor xp & drops are useless. I don't get them assigned that often, so probably not worth spending the 100 points on blocking (unless you're getting them every 3-4 tasks!!)
  14. Hey Calzo, If I remember correctly you badgered me into getting Ponies - Now it looks like you're lagging behind !!!! Still, by the looks of things you've spent quite a bit of time (& cash) getting your herby up - nice work. Thats next for me :) Thanks for the rates
  15. Well, I finally got this. All Charms were obtained by Slayer - No camping or Bursting Rock Lobbies. As a side to this I've also made the top 1k Rank in Slayer :) Now I'm off to get some Dragon Eggs :)
  16. What do you mean? You can get 2.5k charms/hour easily, up to 3k if you kinda concentrate. Would be 3-4 hours at most. This got me thinking as to why my charms per hour looked so low & I've realised I calculate mine against the Kyatt, which only lasts 49 minutes - I've understated my 'performance' by 11 minutes per hour or 18%. I feel a bit better now !!!
  17. I would like to break into the top 1k Slayers - Ranked 1030 at the moment :) Thanks for everyones input so far - makes a change to have a flame free topic nowadays :)
  18. What do you mean? You can get 2.5k charms/hour easily, up to 3k if you kinda concentrate. Would be 3-4 hours at most. I'm easily distracted & therefore don't get the max Xp per hour, but I do hear what you are saying !!
  19. 2 differing opinions in first 2 posts - thats what I like to see. I've just got a Waterfiend task - so I'll do this & get about 160 Crimsons this way. Money isn't really an option - I've got a cash pile of about 200m, however, would rather spend this on Herblore which is proving to be very costly (just spent 50m on Wednesday getting 5 levels!! - I didn't sell any of the potions so I guess I turned 50m cash into 10m of items) My gut feeling is telling me to slay for the next 2 weeks & see how many Crimsons & Blues I end up with and then give it a go.
  20. I've got enough Green Charms to comfortably get me to 99 Summoning (need 6258 & have 11k+), however, I'm down to my last 420 Crimsons & I have always levelled using either Crimsons or Blues. All of my Charms have been obtained through Slayer Tasks - No Camping or Bursting Rock Lobbies. As a side note, I've got a further 22k of Golds that are taking up space in my Bank - these are unlikely to ever be used unless they bring out an alternative use for them :) I'd like some input from you as to whether I should use my Green Charms & make 7691 Unicorn Pouches, which will take me approximately 6 hours & I run the risk of getting a major case of RSI & perhaps pass away from mind numbing boredom :) Alternatively, I could keep slaying until I get say 1500 Crimsons & c150 Blues (dependant on tasks) & then use these, which would leave me only needing to use about 2k of the Greens. This would save me about 3 hours. I'd keep some Crimsons back to make Steel Titans - however, now I've swapped To Kuradal & the ability to use fighting familiars on her tasks is limited so I'd like some guidance as to where a Steel Titan would be worth using. If you were me would you take the pain now & level using Greens or keep doing something you enjoy (Slayer) & build up more Crimson & Blues that way with the aim to level in about 2 weeks? Thanks in advance for any constructive input.
  21. I'd say kill them in CT. Very close to edgeville and if you like this (sorry it's pretty childish but it's quick xp) you can hammer the gargoyles of someone else. You'll get half the xp from the gargoyle you finish and whole xp from your own gargoyle. Never steal someone else's Slayer XP - when slaying that is the ultimate sin. Apart from that, I would say Chaos Tunnels with Fighting familiar & Guthans or Slayer Tower with Bunyip. If you have Sara Sword use it on Crush, otherwise Whip & Rune Def (or decent shield if you are getting hit too often) works fine.
  22. No I didn't - I assumed that Deflect Missile Curse being Lvl 68 would drain faster that standard protect range being only Lvl 40. In that case my question has been answered & therefore Curses are obviously worth it !!! Thanks guys
  23. I've been mulling over whether to use Deflect Range Curse when Slaying Dagg's in Chaos Tunnels. My gut feeling is the extra pray drain won't be worth it, as you are only likely to get +1 hit when the Dagg's hit 10+ on you - although with between 5-10 Dagg's hitting you at any one time I guess this could mount up. Has anyone used Deflect in a multi zone - if so how effective is it really? As a discussion point, are these Deflect Curses actually beneficial, I've used at Steels & Dark Beasts & couldn't see any real benefit against the increased drain on pray. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
  24. I've just completed a task of 174 Gargoyles & killed them with Ferocious Ring, Whip & DFS & was pleasantly surprised how quick I finished the task. I would normally kill them in Chaos Tunnels with Zerker Ring, Whip & DFS + Wolpetinger. The Tinger usually gets between 15-20 damage before the hammer does its job. I'd certainly kill them again in Kuradal's dungeon.
