  1. Soo...she's officially a gold digger? Because that's what I think when I hear the term mail-order bride. Mail-order bride - A mail-order bride is a woman who advertises her willingness to marry mainly to better her standard of living http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Russian_brides
  2. You should be able to find a way to adjust it within the control panel, probably near the other power management options.
  3. Like i said, if you can't find a fix on Google then you wont be able to fix it. It's probably a plug-in problem between Java and chrome. Your only option is to file a bug fix with chrome and either deal with it or switch browsers until the problem is fixed. Your reasons for using chrome would be filled by opera (it's usually the second fastest browser behind chrome and the interface can be switched to ultra minimal) so I'd recommend using that until the problem is resolved.
  4. The "best" answer I can give for that is that a god who was intelligent would be able to differentiate between moral relativism and concious. For instance, its safe to assume for karma that murder=bad; feeding starving children=good but its hard to judge things like human sacrifice back in the mayan culture. But for more blurred concepts like killing someone in self defense, a god has decided whether or not that's good or bad karma? How do you know if something is good or bad? In that case, it would be more of a neutral action; your not doing anything "good", but there is no reason to say defending yourself is "bad" But I could also say that you're taking a human life, doing the most reprehensible thing possible. My point is that these concepts of morality are not fixed and even within the same time period(not to mention hundreds or thousands of years) people have vastly different viewpoints. You say it like everyone has the exact same view on morality, but the fact is that they don't. How do you know if something is good or bad? Is this "god" constantly changing the criteria for good and bad karma? And if so who's view is he/she/it taking?
  5. Did you try reinstalling java?

  7. Try reinstalling java and also try this, it's another game written in java.
  8. Why think about this? It's worth thinking about because your conclusion will affect your whole life. If you decide that "the Christian version of things" is true then you'd read the bible cover to cover a couple times and join a monastery in hopes of maximizing your chances of getting into heaven(hmmm, who's done this?). If you decided that the karma based reincarnation version is true then you'd take the next plane to Africa to take care of orphaned children to up your chances of being reincarnated as god. And if you decide that you'll just die then you'll go upon your daily business like normal(Who does that again?) Also a question to you karma "people"....What defines whats "good" or "bad" in the karma system? Because most moral systems are very dynamic and constantly change, there are no such thing as "objective" morals only subjective morals.
  9. My computer came with the hard drive split into two partitions, a windows partition(c:\) with 200 gigs and a data partition(d:\) with 100 gigs. I'm guessing the op has something similar to this since an optical drive would be clearly labeled as such.
  10. Getting more RAM won't help you to play more demanding games, you'd need a better graphics card(which you can't swap out on a laptop).
  11. Couldn't you just use a program like Alcohol to read the iso file directly from the computer without burning it? Or is that what you said in th editx2? Because Alcohol works great on almost everytime windows OS. Not in this case, your actually booting directly from the dvd into a new operating system like you would with windows from the hard drive. Running the dvd within windows is just to import settings and files into win7, you still need the live cd.
  12. Is there any change you could explain what exactly this is to the noobs out there(not me *cough* *cough*)?
  13. I had big problems downloading it, I did it in internet explorer, got the download link, then downloaded in in opera.(Opera didn't load the page at all and the ie download manager failed epically). Just be aware that there are browser issues and that you have to mix up different browsers. Edit: For the install part, get imgburn and use it to burn the "iso" file that you download to a cd. Then restart your computer and when it's in the bios press esc(or another button, depending on bios) to bring up boot order and select to boot from cd. Editx2: If you're on vista then i believe you can autorun the cd to get the installation within vista. Also remember to backup important data because there's a 20% chance that you'll totally [cabbage] up your system.
  14. It looks alright, it'll probably play rshd, but that's all it'll play. 384 mb of vram(taken dynamically from ram) Source: http://www.notebookcheck.net/Intel-Grap ... 883.0.html
  15. Submit! Submit!!!!! I believe the same thing as the majority of the people here, that you'll simply cease to exist. Nothing more nothing less. :ugeek:
  16. In the device manager there should be a category marked by an yellow exclamation point, and the touch pad should be under it. Right click and see if you can enable it.
  17. I'm 95% sure it's a driver issue that could easily be fixed, go to the device manager>mouses and pointing devices and see if the touchpad is there.
  18. ! It's a small ICBM!!! ^^^ woah look there's three more!!! ^^^ AAHHH
  19. How would you decide which severities of mental illness to euthanize? If one disease allows for the euthanization of the person then why can't another slightly less severe illness and one slightly less severe than that. You can't objectively choose which disease is worthy of death.
  20. That one's for desktops, not the images that are in them, I couldn't take those images and use them on my own desktop.
  21. Here's a gallery of all my desktop images. [hide=my current desktop image][/hide]
  22. Post all cool desktop images. Also discuss what makes a desktop image awesome and all other thing pertaining to desktop images.
  23. Also to add, "creation" is a property of time which is in turn a property of matter. Chances are, matter didn't exist before the big bang so time didn't exist and the act of being created didn't either. The Big Bang explains the expansion of space and time, not their creation. I never said anything about their creation.

  25. If that's the conclusion you've come to then the only rational answer is that god does not exist. Say we prove God exsists, and prove that he is the creator. Then we ask "What created God?" It can go on forever. Exactly *waits for someone to ask who created the uni*
