It is simply one of the many things JaGeX has put into the game to help build Summoning hype, as mentioned in the latest development diary. If the door actually opens and you can get in, that's a different story. I'm going to go check it out, I'll bring pictures if I find anything.

I believe it's safe to say that this idea has been shunned by the TIF community, and it's about to be shunned again. The fire cape is something you can basically "buy" in about the time it takes to do the actual fight caves. With enough money, you could just buy 3k purple sweets and a few prayer potions and go own Jad. There are other buyable skills- Fletching, Cooking, even Magic- but those take more than one day to do.

The nature of this event just makes it impossible. I don't mean to be rude, but this isn't going to be a Tip.It official event, so there's no need to write "This is not in the storyboard." Even if it was an official TET event, There is almost no chance of Jagex actually doing this. If you want to see large battles, join a big clan that goes to Clan Wars often.

I thought this thread was more about autoers than spam and grammatical errors, but clearly it was just a matter of opinion.

They didn't make real world trading 'worse.' They just altered its form to something NEARLY impossible to detect. NEARLY. I have three words for you: Limited Ip Addresses. Here's how it could work: Upon creation of your account, you enter the number of IP adresses that you play from and the site memorizes your current IP. You MUST set recovery questions there, and to set up more IP addresses you must get all five questions correct. You may delete an IP, but this would take a month to come into effect. Once that happens, all IPs are cleared and the IP used to clear them becomes the default. Obviously this idea isn't perfect, but with a little tweaking, it would effectively end rwt.

I can't say I feel your pain, but I can imagine it. We are at the same combat level, and I have about the same stuff you do (other than what your friend gave you). If someone hacked me, I'd be devastated as well. I hope your hacker has the honesty to replace at least some of the items. Sadly though, this almost never happens. It's equally as rare the account is recovered, so remember: Not all is lost. You still have your account.

I'm a game designer. Not on the scale of Jagex Ltd., I work for a smaller company. When I make a game, you'd better believe I play it. If I didn't, there might be huge problems I wouldn't even have had a chance to fix. If Jagex didn't play their own game, the entire game'd be a wreck.

I just had an idea. What if player's combat levels weren't openly displayed? That'd be a major cut-down on people harassing others simply for their levels. Sorry for not being at all on topic. I would most definitely not play if they reset the game. I've been playing for two years this winter, and if someone flushed all of that down the drain, you'd better believe I'd be ticked.

You are obviously not a p2per. Only a free player would suggest anything like this. It's like suggesting free players should get an update that members don't. It makes no sense. The only way to effectively end autoers is to AUTOMATICALLY detect and ban them. Face it- autoers will almost always be on RuneScape. There's almost no way to destroy them without harming non-macroing players as well.

I wishes Team 46 could have a war. Bac in the good days when THOSE TWO could still access their accounts... With some of the new recruits we're invincible, but still...! I miss them.
