I sure hope they know. Thats a well funny joke, quite a clever april fools! The mods are being stupid on the RS official forum. I posted a thread in recent updates, and they said it's actually "possible future updates". Excuse me, are they actualy going to do this? I think not....

Yeah, I most certainly put her much before Runescape, or anything else in my life. I spend time with her cause it's much more important. She's kinda seemed to come around to the idea of it. I think it'll be okay. Like I said, when I quit, I want it to be my own decision. I will sometime eventually, but either when Jagex annoys me to the point where I can't be bothered anymore, or I don't find the game fun anymore. We'll see what happens.

So signatures like the one I just added are, or arent against the rules? I mean, I suppose I could copy the pixels and upload my own image, but I'm a bit a fuzzy on the rule, since mine seems to be working....

She says I have no social life, when actually recently, I went to see a game with a friend at a pub and she was frustrated because she couldn't be there cause she had to work? Hmm.... I mean, I hope to have a job starting around next week (would be awesome if I get it!) and hey, maybe I'll play it on my lunch break at work if all else fails! I'll try to re-iterate what I said earlier that I spend the time both of us are at home with her, and while she said that she doesn't want me paying for it, surely she wont mind me spending a lot more on games that REALLY will involve not having a social life, or any life at all for that matter since they wouldnt be online.... And if she doesn't want me to play because it seems theres too many people younger than me playing, I'll just say that a great vast lot of people on tip.it are older players. Also, I know how you feel! It's good to unwind with! I dunno what it is, but it's really nice to just sit down and have your character chop a tree or fish or something! Finally, if she thinks it doesn't involve any brain power playing it, what about when we watch TV or a movie before going to sleep? Surely thats just as much, if not less.... Guess this is just one of those times. I'm usually an easy going guy who really doesn't mind either way, but in this case, I'll see what happens when I fight for my right, to play runescape! She is very special to me, so I'll see if I can come to some sorta compromise without her getting angry, and without me not having to stop playing RS. When I quit RS, it's going to be my darn decision! Thanks for the responses so far, good to know there are people out there my age and older playing RS and/or other MMORPGS! =D>

I think thats my main problem, is that there's no real way to prove theres a lot of older people on the game as you're always taking somebody's word for it! I do believe a lot of people that are top of it are older players. Especially mentioning the editor's last times article where he mentions that kids will play for a bit and then lose interest. Whereas I've occasionally lost interest and stopped playing for a while, but then I just start playing again. It just is so much better to play a game where you're really only in competition with yourself, or everybody else and you can decide it! I'd much rather that than buy a $50 game every month.

Ah, but I've already "taken the plunge" if you will. She's my wife, I just thought that'd already make me sound too old! :lol: She says she doesn't want me to pay to play it, but thats what makes it interesting! Ah well, it's quite funny actually, she wanted to be a member a few months ago, didn't seem creepy when she did it! I'll just have to put my foot down here, stand up for myself and my 'geek' ways!

Okay, the editor's last article got me thinking. I'm one of those "early 20s gamers" that Jagex use to pander towards. I'm 21, and I've been playing the game for a couple years now, and I enjoy it, but I swear there seems like there's so many immature people on the game. On the other hand, I've met some people who must be very mature for their age. Right, it all comes down to it, the woman in my life says that I am 'creepy' for 'playing a game with a bunch of 12 year olds' when I'm really only in it for the lvls, and I love fantasy games (I just can't be bothered to pay 3 times the price every month, not to mention theres no F2P option on World of warcraft which I guess is a game that mostly people my age play. I'm not asking for people's ages (that actually would be creepy), but at least, tell me if I am too old for runescape and if I should be playing some other game instead.

Hey everybody, a friend of mine on Runescape told me about the site and I quite like all of the points of view on it and it gives me hope that there are still many good, nice, friendly Runescape players!
