  3. Which is also why there are Dragonkin statues and symbols in the castle above, but none inside the Demon Halls themselves. Remeber, the Dragonkin have a lot to do with this. It couldn't be a mere coincedience that they built a castle atop of this "Rift".   5. I stopped reading this thread after the above, so if i repeat anyone im srry How will that^ "solution" go with merching clans? With the right item, these clans of best/worst case scenario; 2-300 people with 50mil to 2bil purchacing power each could potentially put offer up for 2.5k to 190k whips at max. Which is faaaaaaar out of the supply"range". this is all in theory tho; but what would your "solution" do to the price of whips if something like this happend? I'll tell you: it would possible double, triple, quadriple (and i could go on) the price of whips in a single update.

  7. I am, on the other hand, very happy with my C staff in Clan Wars :thumbsup: Nothing like hitting a ~500 (an dare i say it...2 times in a row!)
  8. Because slash weak monsters tend to get merced anyway- it's the monsters that aren't weak to slash or crush like dragons and demons that tend to take FOREVER to take down. Having one guy who could consistently hit them sounds like a good idea to me in theory. Of course, I'm only arguing here that rapier would be BETTER for this function than a longsword. I'm not sure whether either option is better than everyone just having a battleaxe/2h. I see the mage class becoming a more common hybrid class now. You can carry a ton of air surges and just bust them out on primal warriors and fire giants and other monsters that have insanely high melee defense. I don't see it being a good idea to not have a melee weapon bind though, because if a monster is weak to a melee style then magic will have significantly lower DPS due to lower max hit. Srry that i dont know the "hide" function^ =X on topic: you can bin hood +cele surge box + WHATEVER or, at 100 dung hood + cele surge+ cele staff and WHATEVER if you would only mage pl8ed warriors and fire giants theres no need for the cele staff tho - i was thinking more of a primary mage with the "whatever-slot" used on longsword/baxe/2h for hybrid surges on c1's would be beast. no? (any staff other than airstaff would amke you able to do higherhitting surges) removing the prep time (carry thousands of casts between dungs) makes mage viable option throughout the whole dung - who knows, mage might be better dps than melee on ALOT more monsters than jsut pl8ed warriors

Sir made a list of monstes weak to stab and crush.. it is ofcourse incomplete, but its very small compared to ALL the monsters in Dung wont you agree? and despite pl8ed warriors, hobgoblins, earth warriors and a couple other ive suddely forgotten, slash works very well on everything else. Wuts the point of having someone beeing able to kill certain monsters faster, if he does worse on the monsters you encounter more often? now heres something to discuss: the new surge box currently counts as "ammo" if its bound last, and "ammo+1 item bind" if you try and bind another item after (and they are fairly common, so if you get an interesting bind after, it should be no problem destroying it for a while) Ive read somewhere than u can carry thousands of casts between floors in it - so lvl 100 dg'ers could easely bind celestaff+hood+cele surgebox+ whatever and have thousands of casts ready from beginning of dung How well could mages do?

(i havent, even tho i have a long :mellow: ) i mean, until now noone used a long in Dung, so im sure most people have never seen them hit at the same time untillthis tuesday. Trust me. I have a B axe, and a team mate of mine has Longsword, they're definitely the same speed. I will trust you then.. How well does the new quickswitch work? might actually get b axe then..

And @sir: comparing with a primal 2h doesnt really concern me, or the average plater im guessing - i think theres a loong time until a reasonable amount of ppl have access to them (even with new exp rates)

Nope, the longsword only has slash for accurate/aggressive- the stab option is controlled so you can't use it with rings, making it a crap weapon overall. Have SOMEONE forgotten that the 2h is the best weapon in dungeoneering - unless you want to use a TANK ring, in which case you need a 1handed weapon WHERE ON EARTH DOES IT MATTER IF THE BERSERKER RING WORKS WITH A LONGSWORD THEN?? The longsword has -6 str compared to the battle axe, but a higher SLASH I dont know how many monsters you would CRUSH excpt for pl8ed warriors? so i dont know how important that 2nd style is, but note that stab works "allright" on pl8ed warriors Im 90% positive that my longsword is actually faster than a b axe, in which case higher accuracy and only slightly lower str make my longsword better than a b axe if it isnt faster, ignore the last line They're same speed. Weak to crush: Fire giants All Skeleton types Reborn mages + Their warriors Hobgoblins (many say stab...many also say slash, I personally never miss these guys with crush :unsure: ) Plated Warriors Weak to stab: Hell Hounds Demons Guard Dogs Brutes Chained warriors Dragons There's obviously more, but those are the main ones that you seem to find the most Both crush and stab are useful. The B Axe and Longsword are very comparable if you only look at stats, However, since the B Axe can be used with berserker on BOTH of it's attack styles, it has better DPS Hobgoblins are definetly weakest to crush, and earth warriors are weakest to crush aswell But I never have any trouble hitting skeles with slash and those reborn mages in warped floors - as far as i remember - are VERY weak to stab. But, once again, wouldnt you only use the TANK ring with these? Wouldnt youa gree that the 2h is the best, and we choose between long and b axe cuz they are 1handed. Sure there is the "quick change" to our rings now, but it doesnt seem to work very well (EDIT2@above: For me it didnt wanna change back once i changed it the first time... i guess i have to test it again - skeles drop pretty fast on slash) i still think the long is faster tho :unsure: EDIT: Runescape knowledge base says longswords are 1 "point" faster than b axes
  13. Sometimes it seems C weapons degrade faster when you are beeing atked by multiple monsters, i dont know for sure. There is a difference between attacking several targets at once, and beeing targeted by several opponents at once (i think) your other point: Definetly! Sol's runesaving and no degrading makes it the obvious choice for PvM in my opinion CStaff is primarily a PvP weapon, with only slightly better stats than Sol - but definetly worth it if you do High level safe PvP like i do (and The Ancient does aswell, i think..) I got my Chaotics: Maul, rapier, cbow, staff in that order - and is very happy aout every single 1 of them

  15. Personally, i enjoy Dungeoneering very much. I almost always key, because taht insures constant 40 min dungs, almost no matter how good a team or how bad a dung - 40 min'ish. Works wonders

I have a quetion that havent gotten completly answered say you have a surge box with 200 charges, and use them all - do yo start the next dung with 200 charges or 125??? at thesame time, if you put in 1k charges, and doesnt use them, you start next dung with 1k it seems.. but if you use down t 800, do you start next dung with 800 or 1k charges (basically same question twice)
  17. Not for me.. Chaotic crossbow and void makes me hit very, very well - and ruby e bolts makes me hit up to 600 its not unusual for me to do 4 400-500 hits in a row...

Melee: that mask in 5 parts from blood pact quest gives +1 in all offence - so if you want the best offensive, that is it Ranging: Green d'hide coif, body, legs and glvoes. maple longbow (s)/Gravite shortbow - amulet of power Magic: Runecrafting hat (?) Combat robes form fog Gravite staff Arcane blast Offhand: MAGICAL BLASTBOX (5 offense/defence compared to frost tome - but it saves invent AND has a 1 in 4/% chanced of dealing 25% more damage)

Desert treasure is a quest all about Azzandra the mahjaratt, so why note it seperate from "mahjaratt quest line" The rest sounds good. I fear ppl may be over hyping the neckalce though, it clearly says when BURYING bones. Desert treasure is simply a requirenment - just like it is a requirenment to fight the cul(something)mancer in Recipe for disaster .
  20. ..and i get ~45 kills with Maul like that^ I have both rapier and maul; Rapier is not very accurate @ TDs - i have to be in full void, constant turmoiling and extreme pots for it to hit decently (decently - keeping in mind im used to Maul) The Maul hits almost every time, and i do not constant turmoil - when it hits its ALMOST ALWAYS at least 310 damage (often 400-500 damage) - with rapier and cls you risk hitting under 310, with maul, not so much.. The Cls, keeping in mind ive never gotten to test it, is faster than maul, less accurate and less strenght aka. more than 1 hit to make the TD switch prayers. Ive killed Tds faster with maul, than the random guy standing next to me with cls - sometimes he kills faster, but i always seem to win in the end note: ranging weapon: chaotic cbow and ruby bolts e
  21. Oh [cabbage], good point :o You usually unlock a load of musictracks on the first few floors in a new "theme" but.. Bosses all have their own musictracks, and there will be new bosses up to level 111-117? (Bilrach level 119/120?) So music-hunters just got K0ed! EDIT: "Music skillcape" myth = BUSTED? :blink:
  22. Dungeoneering Warped floors - I would have been happy even if these were the only update of November!! - The rewards sounds epic! A new Living Rock Cavern? for Hunter, Herblore and Farming (and Construction?) - The rewards sounds epic! A Masters quest - tieing Mahjarat questline - Monkey questline (Desert treasure aswell?) and others together - The Void Stares back was a masters quest in disguise, this sounds like a Grandmaster quest in disguise - And, i can imagine the rewards will be epic! not to mention the other updates - finally the "year of awesome updates" has arrived@@ :thumbsup:
