Official Aion thread (Visions update)
You can probably find a download from like fileplanet or something. There should be an open beta soon, although I'm unsure of how "open" it is. I.E I don't know if it'll be open for everyone or if it'll be like a fileplanet thing or something. I can't answer that since I'm not EU (: . That does remind me though that I will post what server we will be playing on once my legion decides for all of the US TIF guys who want to play together. That's for the eastern version. Yes! You get some nice pre-order bonuses and you get a garenteed acceptance into the rest of the betas (which at this time is just open beta).

Your views on file sharing and piracy
Their manager's pissed off at pirates and is trying to punish them. When they released their last album they refused to give out samples to journalists and organized meetings for them to listen where they were forced to give up any electronic devices they had, to keep their album from getting leaked. It did though. There's no doubt in my mind their manager's just being childish and trying to show the pirates who's boss by raising ticket prices. Well ok, yeah, that's just them being childish about the entire thing. It certainly isn't a normal thing.

Your views on file sharing and piracy
Then how come U2 is selling concert tickets for $300 per person? To make up some of their losses from pirating, that's why. I used to be indifferent regarding pirating, but $300 to see Muse (opening for U2) is just plain ridiculous. Or maybe it's because people will pay $300 to see them? Blaming U2's greed on piracy is just [bleep]ing ridiculous.

Your views on file sharing and piracy
Piracy is not theft. Theft implies that you are taking a product and leaving nothing behind. Piracy, or copyright infringement, is simply copying a file while leaving the original intact. In other words the "victim" of a pirate doesn't lose anything except a potential sale, which is a loaded idea in its self anyways. It's been shown that there is no real correlation between piracy and sales numbers, as most of the time the pirate in question isn't going to buy the product anyways. Just setting things straight here. I'm really not "pro piracy" or "anti piracy". I pirate plenty of things myself but I have no intentions on wanting it to be a legal process. The only thing I hope is that people will realize what consumers want and deliver instead of trying to protect themselves. I, for one, wish that there would be someone to take up a rental service for the PC -- using a digital distribution mean. I would certainly pay $8 to rent a PC game for a week than bother dealing with a torrent. However on the flip side I am not going to pay full price for a product which has 10 hours of gameplay in it. And the music industry just has everything backwards right now, but they need to make major steps forward if they want people to stop pirating their music.

Why do people assume men always cry less?
I'll tear up when watching an emotional show or something, but I don't really remember the last time I just full out cried. Crying over your friends not being at the same school of you does seem weak. I moved around every 2-5 years for the first 18 years of my life so I saw a lot of friends come and go. You just keep in touch with them (or not) and deal with it. It sucks but honestly the only person I even keep in touch with now out of all the people I went to middle/high school with is one person, who is my current roomate in college as well. (And I actually didn't go to school with him, we were a grade apart).

Games that you find overrated?
I think the mechanics of the game are great, it just doesn't have the same addictive quality as other FPSs I've played. The real only reason I've ever played TF2 for an extended amount of time was because I found it fun playing with the people more so than playing the actual game. See, I find it pretty addictive to play. :) Did you play the 360 or PC version? The 360 version isn't that great because it only has like.. 3 or 4 maps. The PC version has like 20 official maps, a ton more custom and a lot of updates.

Games Franchises that Should Give Up
So, hold on, we're actually critiquing the plot between Kirby and Mario. They're [bleep]ing platformers, who really cares about a plot? @Ugozima: Kirby is boring ^_^.

Official Aion thread (Visions update)
The "beta" status in the west is for a couple of reasons. -Testing the localized text and speech, making sure no errors in that. - Stress testing servers. This is the biggest reason, they need to make sure their servers are up to speed for when the game launches here.

New flyer
Good stuff. You already pointed out the weak point (18 September) so there isn't too much I can really say.

Two advert signatures
ps: The aion fansite kit is a wonderful thing :). Just two real quick (probably 10-15 minutes per signature) things meant to act as some adverts for onlineaion.com. I'm not really looking for c/c, as I have no intentions on changing these or doing a lot of signatures in the future, but I thought I would still share them with you guys. I'll probably end up doing a signature for the third faction as well that I left out. Doesn't mean I won't take it though, just don't really expect it to go too far. And, uh, I guess if you're a fan of Aion and want to support the site feel free to use one. Also I should mention that I don't really do this sort of thing much anymore, but I was really bored over the past week so I figured why not. It's sort of relaxing to just mess around a bit on a signature, especially since it's more of just playing around instead of working with more specifications (like in the web stuff I've been doing).

First Shots with new camera ;D
Second one has some nice potential with some color correction I think. Nice on the new camera, sadly I can't justify spending like $500-$600+ for a camera I would hardly use.

[TF2] It's MANN Vs. Machine!
Having a lot of fun with the update. Watching the new losing animations is hilarious (I love the heavy one, where he just cowers in a corner. ) and KOTH is a lot of fun from what I played today. KOTH_Sawmill seems to be really awesome for spy, or at least C&D spy, and I ended up raking in a ton of points. Well, both me and my roomate Speedy did -- playing on different teams. :) And of course we play spy code so we never tell our team of where each other are. We still kill each other though :P.

Manga/Anime Discussion
Ok yeah, I take it back -- Gurren Lagann is awesome. I ended up watching it and Texholnoyze while my internet was down this weekend, and I'm glad I did. Lagann is so ridiculous and so over the top that it just works, and you can't help but feel for the characters. Plus, boota is awesome. Texholnoyze was pretty much incomprehensible in the first ep, but it starts to clear up after that. I'm glad I gave it a second chance because it honestly is an amazing piece of art -- something that leaves you thinking much longer after the last episode. It really heats up, and the setting is just so goddamned amazing. There really are moments in it that trump the beauty of even some scenes from Lain. So yeah, silver, you need to watch the rest of it. Also I should say that it doesn't shy on the action at all, even if it starts out slow. The nice thing is it starts out pretty slow like Lain does, and a lot of times you'll be left with a lot of questions. Even though I'm not sure if all my questions were answered right away it does a great job of making you think back to a previous episode and suddenly realizing something you didn't get before. Seriously though, it's a close one I think between Texholnoyze and Monster for me. Both are [bleep]ing brilliant anime for different reasons, and though I probably like Monster a bit more still it really is close. I'm probably done on anime for a little bit though, unless someone can somehow trump what I've watched. Just for reference: Baccano!, Serial Experiments Lain, Texholnoyze, Elfen Lied, Monster, Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann, and The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya. Are what I have watched so far. Enjoyed all of them a ton except for Elfen Lied, which I thought was really forced at times. I just don't think I can top some of them :P. ps: If it helps I can understand a goddamn thing from like half of this thread. That's probably a good thing though.

Official Aion thread (Visions update)
I missed pretty much all of CB6 except for this Monday morning, sadly. The internet in my new apartment wasn't on until today. Still I got the chance to get some duels in with my 19 assassin versus my roomates 19 sorc. We were going pretty even for a while and then he got a pretty good idea that ended up working well. I might have been able to figure out how to deal with it but we ended up just playing some TF2. There was plenty of decisions to make though even in a fight at 19, I honestly was very impressed. Coming from other recent games where in low level PvP it revolves around me spamming a couple of buttons was, well, refreshing. I mean even at level 19 we had fake casts going on (My roomate actually fake casted a few of his ice spells, which is a snare, against my focused evasion [makes me dodge/resist the next attack] making me waste it) and there was just a lot involved.

The official World of Warcraft thread.
I don't play the game (bored of it and it's not my kind of MMO) but I'll answer anyways. 2. The Burning Crusade and Wrath of the Lich King. Just what you would expect from a game that has so many subscribers. You'll probably hear the loudest people the most often (the guys in trade chat spamming Anal [item]) but in reality it's just a mix of people. There are some nice people, there are annoying idiots, there are elitist [bleep]s who take the game way too seriously... trust me, you'll come into encounter with all these guys. The funniest is the hardcore PvPer who thinks arena is the biggest test of skill ever (: No but there is no reason not to play on a large server. Nothing wrong with more people to play with. *shrug* I think they have a battle chest offer thing with the expansions and man game. Increased, not sure how much. The game has a hard restart every 2 years or so so honestly it doesn't even matter. If you want to raid or just level up a character why not. I think if you're looking for something beyond that you'll just be disappointed.

[TF2] It's MANN Vs. Machine!
Alright finally, I'm back. Update looks great. For the person asking what server we play on, I play on The Bar Room. It's a 32 player server and it can get really foul at times (porn sprays are encouraged ^_^) but it's an awesome server.

Why do you find it overrated? Or, I guess, what online FPS do you find better?

The official World of Warcraft thread.
Do you think there is actually any chance of me joining again with Aion around the corner? Not to mention I'd probably flip a [bleep]ing lid having to tank for people in WoW raiding. [cabbage] it's annoying enough being a DPS. Really though, I don't see myself coming back anymore. I've come back before, yeah, but this last time I came back I barely lasted 2 or 3 months in the game. I've just completely grown out of whatever little bit I liked about raiding.

Abortion what do you think of it?
What I find sad is that you don't think people should have abortions because you feel for the "wasted life" (baby) but because you want them to be punished. Having to go through an abortion is "punishment" enough. Seriously, it's not like an abortion is a happy thing, and it's not like you'll walk out with a smile on your face either.

The official World of Warcraft thread.
It just made me angry because, forgetting about my performance for a moment, I'm one of those guildies who is consistent, reliable, willing to do anything to see the guild move forward, but none of it matters when it comes down to the rulebook. [bleep] me dead, I logged in last night because a bunch of raiders wanted boots made (I've been lucky with Uldy LW patters, lol). I always disappear randomly from my guild in WoW. They'd see me on every day and then one day I just won't log onto vent or in game anymore. Just hate dealing with the backlash "omg we gave you this loot and you leave wtf??". They already gave me the same [cabbage] when I was rejoining earlier this year. Loot rules always seem so ridiculous to me. It's in my state of mind that if you helped kill a boss, you should get a share pass at the loot. I'm sure most of you are going to disagree with me.

iPod Clones
Yeah... why? If you want a nano I would just get another Mp3 player that uses MicroSDHC or something. Probably can get that 4GB-8GB of space at a real fraction of the price. (Hell a 4GB MicroSDHC I saw at target today for $9!). Then again the nano line is really overpriced. I can understand the higher price on the 120GB classic, but the nanos are only like 4GB-8GB...
