No, just random crits. So Kritzreig still works. I really like the community. Now and then (depending on the server you play on) you might get a kid, but at least on my server they usually are ridiculed and then banned. Then again my server is one where "porn sprays are encouraged" so it's not like it is a bunch of scholarly people playing either. :P

Not to mention a spy is a billion times better at doing an "ambush" from behind on a cart than a backburner pyro is. A pyro would run in there burn some people and get noticed quickly. If they have a pyro on their team who is good or a sniper they'll just put the people on the cart out. A spy can get there a lot easier behind them and then stab a number of targets, especially if they aren't really spychecking. I've gotten up to 7 stabs before in a row just from going behind a cart when they aren't paying attention. Good luck getting a pyro to do that.

I'm sure laura will hate me for saying this, but you aren't going to get a good mac for $1000. Period. I think you could get the cheapest macbook which is pretty terrible by most standards. Plus in my opinion I think it would be better to get a laptop and put linux on it if you hate windows or something, would be better and cheaper. Now onto what you want though, it depends if you want to game on it or not. It must be nice being a developer and knowing that people will make all the excuses in the world to cover for your crappy port. It is better than nothing. I'm sure the gameplay is still good, so it doesn't bother me. I still play old games with similar graphics, so why whine about this? No, Valeyard pretty much summed it up. If they aren't even going to try and get the game to look decent how can you expect them to make a solid game? It is great though how (some) Wii fans will bash the multitude of "brown" fps out there on other platforms, but the moment they get a terribly brown and bad looking one they praise it. :) I mean really, developing for the Wii is just a gold mine waiting to happen. I can put out a half assed FPS and people will trip over themselves trying to buy it. (See: Conduit)

I'd say: Look at the games of both sistems. Pick your favourite Buy it OT: Anyways, for me, the best is the wii, it has some wonderfull colourfull games, contrasting with the usual brownish fps, some variety and a bright future ahead, with many inovators like Muramasa Demon Blade and Red Steel 2, but in the end it's all a matter of choice, I'm the happiest i can ever be with only a wii and a pc. You act like it's the only console which has colorful games and innovative games. The Wii has plenty of terrible looking games who totally don't get the point of trying to develop for the Wii. It's a tech challenge, and one that you need to beat by going more stylized. Galaxy and Prime 3 are probably the only real good examples of that. You could look at CoD4 for an example of a terrible "brownish fps" for the Wii, which sucks because the actual game was quite good looking and had some good color in it. I'm looking forward to some of the PS3 exclusives coming out. However I don't think they're enough to get me to buy a system. Not because I don't want to play them but I just don't want to buy another console I'll almost never use. And I'd like to play Galaxy on the Wii but certainly not buying one just for that. I have no interest in Prime 3 (I never got into Prime 1/2), no interest in SSBB and very little interest in any other title for the system save for maybe the new Wii resort, as I've heard it uses Motion+ quite well.

That's a kind of crappy comparison, Too Human is terrible. :P And remakes are nice and all, but I played all those classics when they came out. :P

I'm a huge fan of Dawn of War I right now. Like my entire Aion legion is playing it over Hamachi lan while we wait for Aion to come out, it's a ton of fun. 8 player games are chaotic as hell.

Or because 95% of it's library is terrible. 95% of eevrything is crap :roll: You've got a point but, really, the Wii just has a horrible library. I'm not a big fan of the 360's library either but it certainly has more worthwhile games than the Wii. Plus once you count in Live arcade that number actually goes up quite a bit (talking about new games here, not just remakes or ports).

I played '99 on the dreamcast back in the day. First online console game I had ever played, was pretty fun although I sucked. Played '04 a bunch as well, although not very seriously. Finally I have UT3 right now which I really enjoy (it feels a lot more like '99 than '04) and it's a solid game, although not many play so I don't get on often. I always like UT more than Quake though. :)

First day of classes today, went pretty well. Found out I'll be able to trick out some PC's for our new HD lab, so awesome. Also I turned 21 today.

Yeah it does seem odd. Do they live by themselves or with their parents or something? I mean, if they're only 18-20 I wouldn't think they'd have their own house.

I'm a fan of Badlands, Sawmill (CTF and KOTH) and Badwater (payload and CP). (Mostly because they're pretty nice to spy on, especially with cloak and dagger)
