Yeah I just spent like 45 mins a bit ago playing a melee scout. It's actually pretty funny, although it wasn't as useful as it could have been because it was 5v5 at the time I was playing (and they had two heavies and a pyro).

The poll results are pretty interesting. I mean, nearly 60% of TIF is atheist (or at least doesn't believe in eternal life or anything else).

I subbed to gametap today only to find out that it won't work on 64 bit OS's ([bleep]ing lame). So instead I've decided to download the games I was going to play over gametap, considering I already paid for them (although I am trying to get a refund). YOU MADE ME DO THIS GAMETAP

You'd love Baccano! , really fun anime to watch and really [bleep]ing violent at times. [hide=My thoughts]I had the same kind of thoughts after I finished. It did seem like it was a warning. And yeah I didn't think they were but the scene after the reboot confused me since they continued to act like a "normal" family. Although I did like how even though lain removed herself completely from everyones memory that they still faintly remembered her. Her "dad" looked over at the empty chair where lain sit, and Auryia (sp?) I think faintly remembered her too. The ending was pretty interesting, with them meeting again. I kind of like how Auryia was a teacher seeing a student as well =P I do feel like I could probably spend a while trying to think what different parts were all about but it's probably better just to take it all in as one message :P[/hide]

I don't really get what you mean by creativity, the classes all play pretty different. I do rotate between them though so I don't get bored. I'm on my heavy kick atm and I forgot how much I rock with them. (Old school heavy player back in TFC). Hell, had a good time today -- playing TF2 with Jaziek, Ultima and Errdoth today. Managed to dominate 4 people in one life with ultima healing me. :lol:

Also I should say that I liked how little dialog there was in Lain. It's annoying when an anime tries to be "smart" by just throwing around a lot of big words. It also really helped up the tension a lot. :P Question though, [hide=question]About her parents, I know they wern't really... her parents right. But were they all just acting it or were they actually a family, that is, the mom/dad and sister? I mean they left the house before everything got rebooted and she erased herself from everyone's memory (making it so as if she never lived) and the rest of them lived just like a normal family.[/hide]

You should totally watch Monster. Yeah do this. (even though I haven't seen it yet) Also, Texhnolyze. Very much so. I'll watch both of those. :thumbup:

Alright, I finished Lain. My initial reaction is still the same. I'm somewhat in a daze about it, it's weird. I understand it now, and I understand what it's about now, but I don't know how to sum up what I feel about it. It's amazing, I loved everything in it, but man even after reading the Wikipedia entry on the series it's still sort of confusing. Great recommendation though.. it's going to be tough to follow up on for whatever I watch next.

You're 15, you should be able to get a part time job. I wouldn't do commission art unless you can find some people local. I have a difficult time trying to find commissions, part of the reason why I need (and want) a good portfolio. Why won't any of the suggestions we gave you in T&C work? Just get a small flash drive and load a portable version of firefox and stuff on it for yourself.

I'm about halfway through with lain, and I think my reaction so far can be summed up pretty easy: O_O (The art style is wonderful, and I'm really digging the way they do the music and sound as well. I'm still confused as [cabbage] but it's starting to get... a little clearer? I just finished EP6. Still, I'm so confused. I really enjoy it so far though).

It's a pity I'm not a fan of LoTR lore or PvE content, I've heard good things.

When I say more skillfull I mean that it is also the most useful. Backburner is useless against A: Players with more than half a brain B: Players at a range (no deflections) Not to mention you can't put out fires on people, you can't push people off of the cart, off of platforms, away from you to get away... pretty much you give away a lot of utility for a crit from behind, when in reality you're going to kill someone in a few seconds flat either way -- crits or not. It's just a worse gun. I mean, if you use it obviously it's not a problem -- just saying that backburner W+M1 pyros aren't exactly useful unless you're just playing against a bunch of idiots.

And pyros who don't use the backburner have a more skillfull playstyle, that's all there is to it. Backburner pretty much is the epitome of W+M1 pyros.

[bleep]ing huntsman snipers lol... [hide=][/hide] I think a couple arrows disappeared too when I took the SS... I mean Jesus, they even got an arrow in sandvich.

I remember people on my server I hang out at talking about how to find a good pyro. We figured the answer was "does he use regular flamethrower?" Compression blast is a lot more useful than crits from behind. A lot.

Just finished up Baccano!, man this is one of my favorites so far. It took a bit getting used to the style they used to tell the story (going between events real fast) but I think it added a lot of interesting backstory. Easily my favorite characters were Firo, Issac and Maria. Firo is just bad [wagon] and Issac & Maria are crazy funny. Also I loved how they melded in a bit of supernatural elements with the show as well (with the immortals and everything), wasn't expecting that. Finally I loved the ending [hide=]2001 Issac: Maria, I have this feeling that... we haven't aged at all. Maria: ... Issac: IT'S TRUE, WE'VE BEEN BORN AGAIN!!!!![/hide] Perfect way to end it. :thumbup: (also love how they were wearing hippie stuff in 2001 lol)

How do you guy's find that many games you want to play. I mean, I didn't even think there were 400 games for the system, and I can't think of more than 10 or so I'd want to play period.

Go figure they work on a "PvP patch" after I leave. Doesn't interest me enough to rejoin though really.

Not to mention it's a bad game (oh snap) :P Try Skies of Arcadia maybe. They had a re-release of it for the gamecube, it's a pretty unique and good RPG. If you're looking for a more D&D inspired game though you could give either Baulders Gate II or Neverwinter Nights a try on the PC. Both great games.

Yeah, but I suck at that kind of stuff. It's not that I'm not too "artsy". It's that I don't have the proper tools or training/experience. That's why I skipped the bull**** and just answered your question.

Already decided on watching Lain next. Then probably Gurren Lagann.
