  1. Don't use a guides website (Well, unless something like WoWInsider counts which may have guides time to time). Favorite reviews site is GiantBomb. Favorite gaming website is Joystiq. I don't really visit a PC specific site. Generally though between Joystiq and Giantbomb I get all the gaming news I need.
  2. They had already done the spider quarter first, I joined in when they were doing patchwork. I guess I just don't see what's so hard about him compared to a lot of other fights. The only good news is I can pull out 3.4k DPS now in a very PvP spec with PvP glyphs. (I'm talking about Evocation/Icy Veins/Arcane blast glyphs). I could get a lot higher if I went 57/3/11 instead of 60/0/11, but again I don't really care when I out DPS these pugs anyways. Also I have gotten a ton of guild invites, and I turn them all down. I'm going to remain guildless on my character. Reason being is that I don't have the patience to do organized raiding, having to follow a schedule, dealing with loot drama, ect. and I'm not in raiding for the raiding, I'm in it because Blizzard decided it would almost be a pre-req for arenas currently. And anyways it's fun to see a guy in a ton of epics without a guild.
  3. Yeah it wasn't really meant as a dig against you, I just am not really sure how it all works. I know fractals are very math based, and I've seen some wonderful things done with them, but I do think a lot of it is pretty random workings. It's pretty hard to give criticism in that regard. I've only very briefly used Apophysis.
  4. Wiping on Grobb 10 is just plain stupid. But Patch on 25 isn't just tank and spank, it's a huge heal check. Lots of PuGs end it there. Well I mean it wasn't like people were undergeared or anything. They just really sucked. And it's pretty tank and spank. There are no real mechanics to the fight other than an enrage timer and that hurtful strike. Good news is my Death Knight roomate should ding 80 sometime this week and then I can just get up in arenas and gear that way. I do realize patch is a gear check though. Still doesn't change the fact that it's very tank and spank though.
  5. Yes! Thieves get shut down, wonderful news.
  6. CAD used to be funny. Right up until the whole pregnancy thing. Not even the miscarriage part, just when she got pregnant. Then those smaller strips with the people with no arms. Those were funny every so often for a little while. But it;s gotten to the point where his best punchline is that souls taste like butterscotch. I have to disagree. He has and always will be terrible at both writing a joke and telling the joke. The guy gets too excited and just pre-punchlines all over the place, sometimes even in the first frame. Maybe it was a bad example (was part of an arc) The speech B^Uckly gave was great, C&H summed it up perfectly. Really, the guy has done a lot of "Foot-to-mouth" things before, but that was classic.
  7. I can't really take apophysis stuff seriously. I mean, it's essentially the same as a filter pile in photoshop. Not much thought process, just random actions. That's not to say there isn't good fractal art, I just haven't seem it come from that program. I dunno though.

I'm still amazed I'm the pretty small minority here who enjoys a lot of the current Adult swim lineup. King of the Hill: Great show, very funny. I've never really watched it before but the characters have great personalities. It really grows on you. Family Guy: Whatever, it's still got plenty of funny moments. You can go on and on about how the first 2 seasons were the best, whatever, but I still laugh. Robot Chicken: Still funny for cheap laughs. Aqua Teen Hunger Force: Great, obviously. Even the new season is still funny after they got through the first few iffy episodes. Mission Hill: Currently playing on the lineup, really funny show if none of you have seen it before. I believe it originated on the WB, but it's got some great style and humor. Not a "gross out" show either. Just some great wit. Superjail: I could [bleep]ing go on about this show. Yes, it is a very "gross" and violent show, and if you don't like that turn away right now. However you would be missing an incredibly animated show. While it lost a little steam near the second half of the first season the first half is [bleep]ing gold, the animation is brilliant and it's damn funny. Really though the show can be a mind [bleep], it's amazing. One of my favorites out of the current lineup. Squidbillies: Can be great or iffy, depends on the episode. Still it's got some golden stuff I think. Not one of my more favorite shows, but still worth watching. Home Movies: My favorite show on Television. Even though it is canceled now they still show it on [AS], and it is incredible. Hands down it is the funniest show I have ever watched, and even better the show goes for witty, intelligent humor instead of cheap gags. Trust me, watch a few episodes and you'll fall in love with the characters, they are easily some of the best. Coach McGuirk is the best cartoon character ever to grace the screen, an alcoholic soccer coach (for elementary school) that lives alone. Sounds kind of basic, but man, he's a well written character. All of them are. But really, I could go on for pages on this show. It is incredible. Metalacolypse: It's from the same brain that was behind Home Movies, and it has a lot of the same awkward humor in it. While I enjoy Home Movies more Metalacolypse still is a great show. Look around you: This is a new live action show on [AS] and, while most live action shows are iffy (Tim and eric, tom goes to the mayor) this one has some great humor. I would check it out if I were you guy's. Xavier: Renegade Angel: First of all, the humor in this show is heavily based around puns. At times very bad puns as well. But that is what makes it so damn funny, not to mention the entire mind[bleep]ery of the show in general. And while I may be in the minority here, the art style and direction of the show is incredible. The very early looking 3D graphics work wonders for it. Frisky Dingo: Another one of my favorite shows, heavily based around repetition humor and on going gags (so it may not be as funny unless you watch it back to front). It still shows now and then, and I believe a 3rd season is in the works. Venture Brothers: Great show, and I almost forgot about it. It's hard to really say something about it, it's one of those shows you really need to watch. It's incredible. :P Another one you want to watch back to front. I do think there is some iffy shows though, don't get me wrong. Tim and Eric has few moments which would make me laugh, and mostly it just ends up being one of those things you can't turn away. Tom goes to the Mayor can have it's moments, but usually I mute it. Saul of the Molemen actually was a really funny show, but haven't seen it in a while. And I've never watched fat guy in the internet. Also I'm iffy on Drinky Crow. I think I just don't really "get" the humor, or it's not my kind of humor. Art Direction is good though. But really, would anyone disagree with the shows I've listed here that I enjoy? While [AS] has some rotten eggs in it's lineup a lot of it is still really funny. And, for the most part, really not "gross out" humor (except for Squidbillies and Superjail).

Don't get me wrong, Robot Chicken is funny.. but it certainly isn't sophisticated humor either. :P I didn't say it was; it's the only unsophisticated 'humor' on the channel that I find even remotely funny :P . I kind of thought so, the way you put it though was odd. And you're telling me you didn't/don't like shows such as Home Movies or Frisky Dingo Reb? :(
  10. What games are you playing on it, if any.
  11. I do well for myself in TF2. I was a beast when I played WAR for those first two months though. In the best guild on the server (and one of the best in the game, like in the top 10 worldwide for guild level!) and I was, I think, one of the top Warrior Priests on the server. Real fun two months, it was a shame we just had no competition on our server and got bored, not to mention the RvR had gotten stale. I still like to think I'm best at PvP MMOs in general though. I can do well in an FPS, but it really depends.
  12. .... I'll let you figure out what went wrong there. x86 is a 32 bit processor FYI. It can't. You want Vista 64.
  13. Bad luck with pugs this weekend, man. First I get a guild run with this guild on my server for Naxx 10. They proceed to wipe on Grob like 5 times before I left. Then today I get a naxx 25 pug, only to have them wipe on patchwork (first boss I did with them) numerous times. I mean for [bleep]s sake one fight only lasted a damn minute. I just don't know how people can fail a tank and spank. I really should just stick to PvP gear...
  14. Black Mesa Source is a pretty promissing "remake" of Half life 1. It's going in a more cinematic direction than the original so should be a fun game.
  15. I don't really like the performance tests vs Vista and XP. The main reason is that, chances are, you aren't going to notice it. I don't notice any slowdown or problems with vista, and I prefer it to XP due to some of the neat features (like hovering over a toolbar to see what that window has).

Meh I find family guy funny. It's not an overly intelligent show, the jokes aren't crazy clever (although it does get it's moments that's for sure) but it's funny none the less. Whatever. Also anyone else think the new show Look around you is [bleep]ing hilarious? I usually don't like the Live Action stuff on [AS], but this is an exception. Really funny show.
  17. If you can wait and see what AMD and ATI are going to be doing with the mobile HD4000 series coming out sometime here in the middle of the year (IIRC). Should be quite powerful.
  18. For a second I was like "lol TK why" then I saw the ashes.
  19. Got myself 440 Engineering and made my epic goggles. Really nice actually, pretty close to the naxx gear. Actually decked out with 8 epics now (Helmet, chest, wrist, off hand, Back, Boots, Legs and Gloves) so pretty decent for someone PUGing after a week of being 80. edit: Check this out, 3DArmory. Pretty spot on, although it's rendering some stuff wrong (put my shirt on the outside not inside). MY CHARACTER. FYI You can just change the URL to directly link to your character.
  20. Your missing the point. If you decided to say it or not, the thought is still random and that is what we are discussing. No, it's just stupid and off the point.
  21. It's not [bleep]ing random if you plan to say it.
  22. By the way, this comic is a great example of why Penny Arcade still kicks [wagon]. One of the few I've seen that has grown in both quality and writing since it started. :P I love the last panel.
  23. I guess it depends on the computer shop. Some people love to charge exorbitant prices for something stupid like that. Hopefully it'll be cheap though. If you tell them what you think is wrong (reset the BIOS) than they might get to it quicker.
  24. Download Hijack This and run a log, then you can post it here. It does sound a lot like a BIOS issue though. I would recommend resetting the CMOS if you were comfortable with it, but without knowing what kind of motherboard you have I don't know where the jumper would be located. What kind of computer is it? Like, can you give a product number or anything? That being said if you aren't comfortable with taking something on and off your motherboard (it's usually a little plastic thing on 2 metal pins) than I would recommend just biting the bullet and taking it to a repair shop. You can probably just tell them that you think it is a BIOS issue. But yeah, I'm willing to bet that it is a BIOS issue, almost positive. :)
  25. Sounds pretty awesome, can't wait for the pack. I've been wanting to practice at scout, this pack will give me a good chance to. I'm interested in what his upgraded weapons are.
