So, uh, tanks can definitely smash through the safty door at the start. My group found a tank early on so we ran back, thinking we could just pick it off through the door. Damned thing just tossed the door aside and destroyed us!
  2. I just don't know how they're going to continue it. The entire reason the game was interesting was the main protagonist, not the idea of rapture. Without him I just don't see what the game would do. Can't say I'm looking forward to a second one.
  3. it as good as System Shock / System shock 2.
  4. Frezzer Pro 7 is a really nice CPU Heatsink for the price (like $20).
  5. The PSU sounds like a pretty low quality, and 430W is low. I would get a case w/o a built in PSU, and replace the 9600GT with an HD4870x2. Then I would get a 750W PSU or so, probably thermaltank or another wellknown brand.

Seconding versus being a ton of fun, haha. Only thing I noticed is that the zombies die real fast in versus mode.  Still hunter is a ton of fun. [edit] 9l7VWgknA-M Awesome. Looks like it is easy to implement the "Director" into any custom made maps and it will work wonders. Apparently there is a way to play through other levels (like through episode 2) :P The modding community for this is going to be awesome.
  7. I never really saw any farmers (just spam tells) but it's true, they're pretty much non existent. I have a mod that blocks spam tells (spam me not) and tells me how many it's blocked. It hasn't blocked a tell in like a month. But yeah, they just don't have a market in WAR. I guess power leveling accounts, but then again that's a pretty small bit of what they're doing. They've probably packed up their losses and went back to WoW or another game which has a large dependency on currency.
  8. I'm guessing he think's the lyrics are funny, or something. Maybe he doesn't get them. i don't understand the pain i just don't feel quite the same when you hear them walk away left you here so you can stay silver's just another gold when you're bitter and you're old you could tell me anything but not what the future brings silver's just another gold (repeat x3) Are the entire lyrics to the song btw, I just posted a piece of them.
  9. lol what?

Left4Dead, it's not even an option.
  11. Yeah, P4's are seriously out dated. :?
  12. I would say that either the 9800GT $110 or the HD4850 $130 would do the trick nicely, but what is the rest of your system?
  13. I don't have a picture, but it's a quicksilver blue backpack. I've had it for something like 6 years and no tears, it's very durable. Got it for 20$ :P
  14. Gold farming is non existant, or close to it. At server launch I would get a ton of spam messages asking to buy gold -- now I'm lucky to end up getting maybe a message a week in my mailbox. Because gold is a pretty easy to gain commodity the need over it has lessened. Immaturity? It exists, no doubt -- but it's a pretty mature community from what I have seen so far. The community really depends on your server. On mine some of the guilds are pretty tight knit (we know each other, help each other in RvR and such) and you can get a good idea of how it is on the forums. There are some very strong and stable guilds on my server, on both sides, that's for sure. Well now that I'm 40 what I normally do might be log on, and check to see whats going on / anything getting attacked. If it is I'll join a warband (raid) and fly down to the warcamp of wherever it is. Will either defend or attack keeps, battle objectives and hopefully will get a good fight out of destruction. I won't lie -- it gets fairly laggy in high end RvR for some people, but most of the time It's manageable. I may run scenarios (battlegrounds) so I can level up my renown, or I may run one of the PvE instances/dungeons with the guild. Not really any set schedule like in WoW, however.
  15. Give it a try if you want, just be sure to pick a populated server and do a little research on it before hand (so scenarios will pop well for you). I'm still enjoying the game, although it is still very much in it's early years. There are some problems with the game (no Diminishing Returns, keeps seem too small, fortress sieges stress server badly) but Patch 1.0.5 is out tomorrow, with 1.1 supposedly due out by the end of this year.

Exactly. I think in the third one we'll see him turn more into the classic bond we know.
  17. From my time of raiding in BC I can say that very few of the encounters really took a lot of "skill". Maybe it's just me but, honestly, I really only found fights such as Kael and lady Vashj to be difficult. Kael because of the sheer complexity of it all and Vashj because of the randomness of the fight. Which play style is better is entirely another debate though. I guess it's just me growing up on difficult games but, well, I do enjoy a good challenge. That being said it always sucks to see people (the core of Blizzards fanbase) not get to see these encounters that had so much work put into them. Then again once everyone has killed it it's not even an accomplishment and means nothing. As far as the people who complain about WoW being ruined, well, I think that it was ruined for that playstyle back in BC. It doesn't mean the game is terrible, it just means that it is taking another approach.
  18. Bumping this just to say DING 40 on my Warrior Priest. :D Took a while, especially since I rerolled from an R35 character, but was well worth it.

I liked that it was a bit more realistic. If you think about it, as well, this is just the start. We know the business man is part of a larger organization that no doubt is very powerful. I think that the third will explain it more.

Donkey Kong 64? Kind of doubt it but art style looks similar.
  21. Yes, of course it is. :?
  22. Well, with your budget you could probably afford a GTX280, or maybe even an HD4870x2 (which would help with the rendering more so, and be great for games).
  23. 8/10 save as .bmp next time.
  24. Nadril replied to Sam's topic in Art and Media
Woohoo, you grew out of it. :P Renders are boring. :(
  25. I guess I just figured that the 10 man would be "casual" and 25 man would be the more difficult content. Nothing entirely wrong with the game being built around casual gameplay, but then again I think there is a large difference between hardcore gaming and just difficult encounters. Make content more assessable, in the form of 10 mans. But don't nerf the content so it's easy. Than again I should really just stay out of this since it doesn't even pertain to me. I don't even like PvE anymore.
