Man, just had a great match. Lasted about 90 minutes, and had both teams pushed into their base with almost no buildings up. We managed to wipe them and then come back to win it. Also fully farmed arachna is just stupid. 440 top end damage, over 2 attacks a second... haha. I had riftshards too so was constantly critting for over 1000. Hell, the match went on for so long our devourer had 7k hp because he could afford two behemoth hearts.
  2. I am afraid everything is not as simple as "reducing taxes". Yes in certain cases decreasing taxes will help, but in other cases, it will not. If the economic crisis is easily solved with decreased taxes, then why the hell didn't the government do it before? You gave an example of how tax cuts may work out in favor of the economy, but what about a different situation. For example because the government has to spend money on certain things such as maintenance, loans to commercial banks, the two freaking wars we are having right now, money is absolutely required. Now if the government decrease tax income, they would have to do other things to raise income such as releasing bonds or print more money, which in return can lead to massive inflation. Of course the situation which you have described may happen as well, but it is very wrong to assume that somehow only tax cuts can magically fix the economy. The government must handle certain things in which the people cannot, and to do them, they require money. You can't spend money to save money. The way to get out of a depression is not to spend more money. It's to keep the money that's in the economy in the economy. Spending 3 trillion dollars to get out of a depression only leads to more depression in the future due to high taxes because the government will have to pay back all that money [to China  ] somehow. If we need the tax money to keep fighting the war, why doesn't Obama just get us out of it so he can cut taxes. There's nothing the federal government truly needs to do except provide a military and a higher judicial court. If we want something else we can pay for it ourselves. ^ This. Not spending money is what is going to hurt in the long run. It means that people will lose jobs because companies will have to lay them off in order to stay afloat themselves. With people out of a job they will spend less, which means less money going to companies which means that they will have to lay off even more workers... and you get the idea. It's a really vicious cycle. So sure, maybe things would have evened out if we wouldn't have done a stimulus package. However are you willing to wager all of the jobs that would be lost if it didn't even out? If they didn't bail out GM that would have been thousands of jobs right there, for example. It's not as easy as just "saving up" like you would like to believe, hawkxs.
  3. But using someone elses brushes is doing your own work? Not pinpointed at anyone in particular, just saying.
  4. How is it bad? You know you would be complaining too if he didn't let out a stimulus package and we ended up even worse than before. He's pretty much stopped/slowed the free fall of the economy, and there isn't much you can do other than slowly wait for it to go up. How does that mean you are happy with it? You pretty much need health care in this country. A lot of people's jobs also give health care included in a benefits package. There are a lot of people who are unhappy with health care and the way things are working right now, but they still have it because you'd be stupid not to. And the stimulus package has been giving jobs, I mean what the hell do you think it is used for? You slam it in the sentence above but it and bailing out some of the high up car companies such as GM is saving/creating a lot of jobs. So what is it you want, do you want him to not create jobs or to create jobs? Also as far as health care goes, we still spend a lot even if we would do nothing. When those people get hurt who aren't insured, who do you think pays for that? Hospitals write up a lot of expenses on helping those who don't have insurance, because the way our country is you aren't going to turn someone down who is [bleep]ing hurt. Anyways I thought the current health care "public option" idea works fine, because it gives you and the state a choice. olololololololol. I don't watch news channels either, like indy, but lol. Saying that Fox gives both sides is really funny, hell you believing that they do is even better.
  5. It's sad because they mentioned that no dedicated servers would mean no cheaters. However unlike a dedicated server you can't even boot someone if they were cheating (which will happen). No console commands is silly, I know plenty of PC gamers who use them a lot -- especially in competition. And, again, 9v9 is ridiculous -- a modded L4D match can have more players than that and I was playing more than 9v9 deathmatches back in '99-'00 with TFC! I know that the reason for this is to try and "curb piracy" but good luck with that, they probably lost more sales from this move than they would from pirates. About the player count in a game, PC users should be happy to even get this game, everyone else has had 9v9 and they dont [bleep] about it all day. Right, we should be happy about a watered down console port that has less features than MW4 or even TFC/CS1.6 . Sounds like a totally fine idea. You realize the PC went from supporting up to 64 or more players in a match for CoD4 to supporting this terrible 9v9, right? I'm guessing you really can't understand because you only play the console version, but no dedicated servers sucks balls for so many reasons. There is no reason to get MW2 for the PC now, it'd be better to just invest in an older shooter that has more features. Not to mention I'm sure another reason for this is so that IW can nickle and dime us on DLC maps as well, awesome =/. Why PC gamers are paying more for less is beyond me, I'd rather IW just drop PC support all together instead of just pretending to still care about the system.
  6. I never did run into an issue playing a game through vista, even going back to old games such as System Shock 2 (which just required a patch). Still 7 has the XP compatibility mode like others have said which emulates XP very well. Still, Vista was fine with most programs so 7 should be too.

If you're asking yourself and wondering if you have Autism, you don't have it. I know a child who has autism (my sister used to baby sit and do therapy with him, and still does over the summer) and you certainly don't have it.
  9. Yeah I didn't think I'd like it but it's really addicting.

Eh all I play are pub games so don't really care about competitive level.

It's not important - and NH is a solo hero, pretty awful in teamplay, which is the point of hon. Yeah, a lot of people do do that. I've maybe been guilty once or twice, but I think not recently, I hope. Oh, yeah, didn't notice the misspelling. NH is a carry hero though, and he has some really nice team support (his first skill which silences/snares those in it's radius is really useful). I mean, at least I feel like I do more on NH than those scouts who just run around and KS all the time lol. I usually play NH like a bit of a scout as well, I'll stick around enemies so my team can see what is going on and then I'll help with the gank when they get there.

e in? And what's wrong with liking NH >_>. There are some people who are pretty annoying in HoN (mostly people who are really elitist yet join "noob only" games, and then complain when someone makes a mistake loudly) but some people have been fine. It certainly is a lot less daunting to start learning the game with HoN and not DoTA I think.
  13. Nadril replied to Ryuuka's topic in Off-Topic
Giving this thread a bump. I got a beta key from a friend about a week ago for this after quitting Aion. I've never played DoTA before and I had a very loose understanding of what it was like. I think the best way I can put this to non-DoTA/HoN players is that it feels like an MMO in less than an hour. Like you have a leveling up phase, a leveling/pvp phase and a pvp phase... at least it feels like that. Anyways I'm really enjoying myself. Favorite heroes are Phaeroh , Arachna, and Night Hound right now. Playing Phaeroh a lot right now, just went 7-0 with him in a match and I've done like 12-4 on arachna. Not too shabby for have been playing a week haha. My in game name is Cyrant if anyone wants to add me. Beware that I'm still a "noob" though probably, there are still plenty of heroes I don't know much about and stuff.
  14. I think he's been doing decent so far. You can't expect such large bills (like health care) to be passed overnight afterall, especially when a lot of republicans are still voting against the bill. I'd rather see where Obama stands near the end of his presidency, not 9 months or so in.
  15. Don't get MW2 for PC IMO. As far as RTS goes maybe try and get Heroes of Newerth when it's out. Not a normal RTS (It's a DoTA style) but it is fun.
  16. Here's a good chart expressing how crappy MW2 PC will be.
  17. 90? That's a ripoff, it's like twice what it costs on Xbox! Who approved that? look into those souless black beads of eyes. He is the devil incarnate. Yeah he is. I mean the man has said he wants to make game design "not fun" and that he isn't interested in any brand that can't "pump out at least 6 sequels". [bleep] Activision, and [bleep] IW for taking it up the [wagon] from them.
  18. Yeah because I haven't been giving any tips at all, right? Your post is pretty much just like clockwork Dan, now we're going to have another couple of pages arguing about the merits of criticism and what is "too harsh" or not too harsh. (Boring). (Not to mention you did nothing to help them so touche.) Get a better scanner if you're having such issues. Or check up on deviantart for a lineart tutorial, it's not very difficult to do (really). If anything just go for that "sketchy" look. And anyways my point is is that even sans-digital the drawing is still really really bad and lacks a lot of basic anatomy. (And yes it is anime so some stretch of imagination is fine but you still need to know the basics first). (Also I'd post the same anatomy link as I always do but no one ever looks at it so forget that). At least show us an un-altered image or something and maybe we can tell you what you are doing wrong. Right now there isn't much to really say other than "draw better" or critiquing the storyline or panel-type. Like I said though manga is really out of my league, I know web-comics a lot better. Oh well this thread is a trainwreck, I'll stop posting here if you want.
  19. I don't need you to explain everything to me. Do whatever you can so it doesn't look like a total failure even if it means spending more time between panels. For someone who is a Senior in high school your artwork is atrocious. (not to mention the way you type makes me think you were in middle school). my art work is alot better trust me those are anime drawings Yeah lets see what you have. If you aren't used to drawing in an anime style, after all, just switch. It's not like you need to draw like that.

  21. Fair enough. I don't read manga so I just assume most anime comes from manga first, haha. Your "work" is really bad, and having no money isn't an excuse. You can always draw the pages and then scan them in, after all. I mean you aren't so broke that you can't get a scanner or afford a trip to the library to use theirs right?
  22. Got into the Heroes of Newerth beta from a friend. It's pretty fun but I'm a complete DoTA scrub so it's pretty confusing. Friends are helping me through it though. Oh and if anyone preordered the game and has some spare beta keys if they could give one to my roomate I'll love you long time >_>.
  23. Went to a party last night where we had like 30 people all in a tiny house. Ended up going as Dale (From King of the Hill) which seemed to work a little too good. Either way had fun, but the problem is that even though it was like 2 to 1 Females to Males pretty much all the girls had boyfriends >_>.
  24. I'm probably going to get a lot of hate for it but I really dislike Misfile. Half and Half is possible but you have to be good at it. Really it's just all about timing, you can't really mix them more as you have some seriousness, some comedy, some seriousness, ect. Plenty of Anime (that were Manga before it) have a serious and a funny side to them. Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann and The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzimiya are probably two good examples of how to do it right, and Lagann does it all in a very ridiculous universe. I've never read the manga of them though so I'm not sure how they handle that.
  25. basically i believe 64-bit can use more RAM than 32-bit but with 32-bit you can still reserve RAM to put on your integrated graphics, 32-bit can only handle 2 gigs of RAM 64-bit can handle 4 gigs, or up possibly, and while 64-bit is stronger, it has some compatibility problems so 32-bit is more convenient, it won't run your system to maximum power. Just my noob guess. You've got a lot wrong with it and a little right. 32 bit can support up to roughly 3.5GB of RAM 64 bit can theoretically support up to (IIRC) 128GB of RAM 64 bit compatability issues are a thing of the past as every major (and even minor these days) drivers have support for 64-bit OS's. Software wise both Vista and Windows 7 have a 32bit and 64 bit folders so you can run both 32 bit and 64 bit software on a 64 bit OS. Actually it supports 2^64 addresses, which is far more than 128GB RAM. Alright yeah, I couldn't remember exactly. Just knew it was high =P.
