Just beat Mirrors Edge. Awesome game despite the flaws (namely, combat).

Enjoy it while it lasts, he is going to get nerfed hard. Although if you wearing barbed armour, the turret goes down pretty fast. Yeah I've stopped playing him for now, but he will get nerfed I'm sure.

maybe look into the Zune HD? Personally I think it looks better than the Touch, the interface is really sleek on it.

Modern Warfare (CoD4) was really polished but I would not put it anywhere close in the top 20. Perhaps around 150-175 or so.

I'm going to have to disagree with Gateway here from personal Experience. I'm using a Gateway FX laptop (can't remember exact model) and it's a beast. I've had no hardware issues with it so far with the exception of the VGA port being too close to the battery (but I just use the HDMI port). I've had it for a bit over a year now I think. @OP: what are you using this laptop for? Do you want something that is portable, or a replacement desktop for gaming? What's your budget at?

I was going to pick up a 24" monitor if I saw a cheap one I liked, but I spent a good bit of my money on paypal on other things already so I passed. Did grab some games from steam though.

Just bought Mirrors Edge and Tales of Monkey Island yesterday on steam. Mirrors Edge was $5 and Monkey Island was $2.50. Never played either of them yet so it was an awesome deal. (I don't know how I missed out on Monkey during my childhood but I some how did).

Music, like art, is only subjective to a point.

Tetris is awesome, and is number 1 on my list. Oblivion being higher that Morrowind is odd, since it wasn't as good of a game. Deus Ex should be higher than every other FPS on the list (I know many will argue Half-Life above it, and that may be valid but I just didn't like it nearly as much). I could never finish Deus Ex. I've tried numerous times, and I generally enjoy the RPG/FPS style games as well (loved System Shock 2). Wish I could finish it too, it obviously seems like a great game. Personal opinion aside I would place Half Life above it just because of it's influence on modern modding and FPS's if anything. For a game to so greatly influence both single and multiplayer FPS's it's kind of a big deal :P.

I got hit real hard back as a freshman in high school. We were playing soccer and I was helping defend the goal. Big guy was running forward with the ball and went back to kick (even advised me to move). Well, I didn't want to seem like a [kitty] so I stayed there and tried to block. I did block... sort of. Just not with my knee ;_;. It hurt.

God you just opened a [developmentally delayed]edly large can of worms. I hate when people bring up Abortion in a suicide discussion. He didn't even make any parallels to suicide. His entire post was just "ABORTION RAWR". It's she, thank you, and I was actually hoping that your average OTer wouldn't need me to walk them through my rather blatant logic. :s I understood the logic behind it, I just think it's annoying when someone compares the two. I have to agree. Some people think that just because LOL ITS THE INTERNET that nothing they say will have any actual consequences. I do think that egging someone on to commit suicide (who is actually depressed) really should be punishable. Maybe not considered manslaughter or murder, but certainly more should happen then just a slap on the wrist. I do think that people ignoring the idea of depression as a clinical illness is annoying though. I think I may have made the connection before but just telling a clinically depressed and suicidal person to "get over it" is like telling a paraplegic to "just walk". Maybe not the best example but it really is an actual issue and it's not always because their life sucks or not.

Because making signatures is so important right? What is wrong with variation. Honestly I think it is one of the best damned things you can do to improve (try something new). If I ran into a snag with one style I would hop over to another. While learning that style I'd end up learning stuff that is useful in other forms of digital art. Really you'd be surprised how much even something like 3D modeling can help with making signatures and such. And as far as photo manips go, as long as he learns more about leading the viewers eye (these are better at that then his signatures) he is learning something. He can just shrink it to signature size anyways. (not using the word tag because I think it sounds [developmentally delayed]ed and kind of pretentious.) Yes LowFat has not been doing terribly well as of lately but these photo manips are a large step up from his other work. (save for the last photo manip which is really bad). Anyways: 1 - You've got a focal path correct now. I'll say that leading them on so obviously is sort of a beginner thing to do, but it's much better than having a skewed and/or non-existent focal point. - Too much [cabbage] going on. You've got an idea but you need to really step back a bit and look at it. There are a lot of just unnecessary things that makes it look sort of ridiculous and very busy. Color as well I would personally work on, some of the areas (his wings) look like crap because of the color 2 -decent typography. - Same focal comment as #1 - you have a really split focal between the guy and the somewhat light-image of him. Both are close-ish together and are really conflicting the viewer. One is very bright and colorful and the other is very detailed. I would move them closer together to solve that problem. (so that it is one focal and not 2) - Same thing about all the stuff going on. For #3 I just don't really like it at all, it's really choppy and I think it is a tutorial?

Heh. Really though you want to try and get into 5v5 normal as soon as you can. Or, at the least, stick normal -- EM is terrible. So I've been making kids rage about engineer turret because I know how to gear it out and they aren't smart enough to realize a counter (forsaken skeletons, for example, or ophilia with her minions... or anyone else who controls a few "pet" type deals) to the turret that is killed in 5 hits. I really lol'd when panda out of all heroes [bleep]ed about me killing him 1v1, yet I used all of my skills and my ult. If he had been good and flick/stun combo'd me into his ult I would have been dead. After all he can kill pretty much anyone 1v1 in a PUB. So yeah it's funny. I'm not going to deny that engi could (and probably will) get a tweak, but they made it seem like I was a god or something. Just another carry/semi-carry hero who got farmed...

If you're actually suicidal than go seek some damn help already. Just because you think people don't care doesn't mean that they actually don't care. After all if your parents didn't give two [cabbage]s about you than why would they continue to give you a roof to live under, food , clothing, a computer (I assume you're young enough that you use theirs or they got one for you). Just because you don't want to make friends doesn't mean no one cares. After all it's hard for someone to care about another who they don't even know their name.
