My parents are scared of buying stuff online and i guess they wouldn't trust computer parts to be shipped here properly. I was thinking about $500-600 for everything combined. Haven't had time to check out the PSU yet, but like everything in this house, its probably way outdated Lol. Your price is way too low for your expected computer, if you're going to be buying it locally (that is). You're going to pay out the [wagon] at a place like best buy and even local stores often are much more expensive than the online (newegg) equivalent.

So what exactly do you plan on speaking into here champ?

The real money is just doing tech stuff for people, possibly including putting together machines for them. I remember I saw the prices once for this tech shop, it cost like $60 for an install of windows and such. People will pay you good money for this stuff because they find it a lot more difficult than it really is, plus when they have already spent $1500 a bit more isn't an issue. I don't know if you'd make much money at all doing custom builds, but who knows.

Really? Runescape is not a good game, even considering it's convenience of "playing anywhere". Putting it on a top 200 list would be ridiculous. It was ground breaking back when it came out. Its also very old. Isn't it the longest running MMO there is? Not even close to the oldest. Runescape: Release Date 2001 [source] Neverwinter Nights: Release Date 1991 [source] Note that NWN is not the first MMO, just the first graphical MMO. There were MUDs before it but I'll just ignore them. It's not "ground breaking" in any sense either. The only thing Runescape has is that it was one of the first MMOs to be playable only through a web browser (I'm not entirely sure on this one, I can't remember if Tibia was ever a browser game and it was released in '97) which, like I said before, gave it the whole convenience thing. Still the game just was never a great game (Even though I admit to playing it back in '02 or so and enjoying it). The only reason I even played it in the first place is at the time my parents didn't want to pay for Ultima Online, especially because this was back in '01 and '02 where a lot of people still had dial up and broadband was just starting to come around. As far as longest running goes (may have misread your post but keeping that stuff there just in case) but there are other MMOs that have lasted longer. Ultima Online: '97- Present day [source] Everquest: '99 - Present day [source] ect.

If his PSU is old and this is his first build I'm willing to bet it only is like a 250-300W. A budget would be good to know as others have said.

Sure, not every soldier is a hero but I think there are plenty of soldiers who are. You're right in saying it is just another job, but it also is a job that is much more dangerous than a banker or waitress has.

I've got dual monitors (22" widescreen and a 17" but 1920x1200 laptop screen). I want to get a new 24" monitor for Christmas, I need to figure out if a DVI to VGA adapter would stop interference from the laptop battery though. (I use the hdmi port for my main monitor, if I got a new one I'd want to use both large monitors). If anyone knows if it would I'd appreciate it.

FEAR? Doom 3? Those two shouldn't be anywhere near a top 200 list of any kind. Saying that Doom 3 was the first to have "awesome graphics" is stupid. It didn't revolutionize anything, even graphically speaking. Plus how it looked aside the game was just boring.

@2: that would be cool, kind of like what I'd like. I'm not sure if I'd like to know everything though or just have the time to explore everything (being able to move as fast as I want, of course).

1. I think nothing happens. 2. Eternal Life (after death) is always an interesting idea I think. Not so much the Christian idea of heaven but something like it. It would be awesome if you could just explore the universe as a spirit, while not necessarily being alone. I think being at the age you prefer would be best too. Reincarnation is a nice idea but I don't know if I'd like that, because what if you got reincarnated into a bad situation? You'd have to live through that.
