So I'm trying to think of the must have exclusives for PS3, mostly just trying to decide if I really want the system or not. I can think of: Killzone 2 Little Big Planet Uncharted 1 + 2 Fl0w Fl0wer inFAMEOUS Ratchet and Clank. Resistance 1+2 Don't want MGS4 so not putting it on a list. Anything else I'm forgetting, including both retail games and the PSN. I know about the betas going on (MAG, Bad company 2) which are interesting too.

If I had a choice, I would choose to drink much better beer, but unfortunately all that is provided is crappy "light" beer. It's more about quantity than quality. You'd understand if you've ever had a Natural Light. Ugh, Natty light lol.

The way I see it with all of the thousands of religions out there I'm really taking a minor risk by being Atheist. After all if there is some sort of higher being who is to say that he will be our normal Christian God? I do think I agree with you though in that even if I knew God was real I still wouldn't follow him. Granted I have a hard time believing that he wouldn't update the rules a bit from what they are now in the Bible, as some are just ridiculous and obviously meant for the time it was written in, but still I just don't really like the idea of worshiping some higher power.

I'm really thinking about buying a PS3 for myself now. Any good bundles in the US I should be aware of?

Just woke up a bit ago. Got a few shirts last night alongside a $50 gamestop card and $50 as well from someone else. This morning got $100 from my parents and they are going to order me either a shirt from Valve (TF2 shirt :P) later. Pretty good Christmas. Of course I got my Droid phone earlier because we switched plans, but it "technically" wasn't a Christmas gift. I may buy a PS3 with the money I have (got about $400 now) although I'm not entirely 100% on it.

That's great and all but it's going to be bad unless you follow them in this case. You don't have a good enough grip on the rules to bend them. Plus there is no reason for you to have no flow in this piece, it's not like you're trying to make a statement about something.

Yeah I'm sure he just blocked it through the router specific settings. Do what shawn and fatpat said. Hopefully you have the username/password for it, but usually they are pretty easy. http://portforward.com/ Look for your router brand and then try the default username/pass and see if you can access it.

Aside from the obvious we have a house rule here where if you manage to get the ball back somehow (like it bounces to you or you grab it on the floor before the other team does) you can make another shot but it needs to be a trick shot (Shoot blind, behind the back, off the wall). Brings up some fun times when someone clutches a game with an off the wall shot :).

You need to watch it in 3D before saying anything really, it made a huge difference.

Monster was great. Any similar recommendations? To be honest I'm sort of looking for something like it as well. Texhnolyze you might like, it's a pretty smart anime and probably my second favorite next to Monster. Just watch a few episodes in before making up your mind though, 1st is really confusing.

Too bad. The army in the US pays for tuition if you join them and give a certain number of years of service. Just noticed you're AUS though. Really the only option(s) is to: a. Find a job wherever you want to go to uni at and just work/school at the same time. It'll be tough but sometimes [cabbage] needs to be done. b. Apply for a uni loan and have your parents co-sign it. Not sure how it is in AUS but you can usually get a fine loan, just make sure you can get a job while at uni to save up. c. Take a year off of school, find a job and then there later. I took a year off (well a semester technically because I didn't like my 1st pick of college) and being able to work during that time helped a lot.

Agreed. The 3D was phenomenal and the movie was actually pretty damn good too.

The drop system is really screwed up right now, hence all the camera beards and people not getting milestone items. The update last night should have fixed it according to robin, try going into a server and dieing and see if you get your weapons. Have you heard is everyone keeping the unlocks they got? Hopefully so since I already have them all from the odd drop system 2 nights ago.

Yeah apparently in the east there is a huge blizzard there, I know my family in Virginia is getting a ton of snow right now.

They were giving out camera beards like candy last night lol. I think everyone on my server got one or two. I've unlocked 3 random hats in like 2 days since I've been back, haha. (Fro, camera beard, bald scout).

I don't know the ins and outs of the game, sure, but I've watched a quick look on it and have (somewhat) read up on it as well. The micro-transactions certainly really rubbed me the wrong way, selling things like heroes is just a terrible practice to do. Sure, HoN is going to cost money ($30) but I would rather pay that, get constant updates (and they are releasing a very solid map editor + SDK with it) other than have to buy a lot of heroes in order to be competitive with others, and then have to buy new heroes when they come out. In the long run I am willing to bet a player can easily spend more money on LoL than they do in HoN. Am I right on the stats thing though? I remember hearing about it briefly in the quick look, but I watched that a few months ago. Really I just don't see why (other than if you're too cheap to spend $30 eventually, even though you can easily get into beta for free now) you would pick LoL over HoN. If you really wanted to I could always throw you a beta invite to HoN and let you see the differences for yourself. If you enjoy the genre than trust me, as someone who just started playing (the "hero arena" genre) HoN is a great game.

I'm not really sure what I think to be honest. On one hand, I can see how it could help save a lot of lives. If such a thing were to be done in a sanitized, legal environment than the risks would (hopefully) be much lower. However I just feel like it might be a line we shouldn't really cross because it may pressure those who are down on their luck to "have" to sell an organ to make it by or pay off a loan. For all obvious reasons I'm against a black market trade for organs but I really can't make up my mind if it were legalized in such a way. I think that if a person really wanted to give away an organ to help someone they would and that the money probably just puts a lot of pressure on certain people to sell.

It really is a great weapon though with the targe. Even better is if you combine it with a kritzreig or uber. I had crits with it and due to your such high HP and movement speed you can just run around and DESTROY with it. It's really one of those weapons that the first kill or two might be a bit tougher than normal to get, but after that you're so buffed up (especially right now where a majority are demo/soldier so your -65% or so to explosion dmg comes in a lot) that you can just run around and kill people, and then either charge to get to the next target or charge to escape. That's how I managed the 10 heads (I probably could have gone on for a while on that map, but it ended). The targe really is just such a damn good item. Also steam servers went bonkers tonight, I managed to unlock 2 hats, all of the demoman and soldier items (Direct Hit, banner, pick axe, Eyelander, Targe, Sticky launcher, boots) and a bunch of other useless crap. Finally to you guy's talking about the banner being useless, yeah right. I haven't used it yet myself but not only are minicrits pretty awesome (especially when you're running with a lot of demoman/soldiers) but it lasts for a pretty decent amount of time as well with a nice radius. I saw a lot of really good pushes because they had like 8 people buffed with it. Oh and the new maps, the "double cross" map is amazing. Just such a cool map, I was really impressed with Valve. The gorge isn't bad by any means but I think it's just overshadowed by this new one, which could easily become one of my favorites. ps: already got left 4 head acheivement. Left 4 Heads Decapitate 4 players with only 10 seconds between each kill.
