  1. Is it faster for all skills involved to train Fishing with Barbarian Fishing (I think it's around 80k Fishing, 7k Strength, and 7k Agility per hour?) or with Dungeoneering C2s (no boss completion.... ~90k/hr-ish?)? Would I have to bind Cosmics for C2ing to be any good?
  2. I'm 91 Summoning with Charms for 95. Does this make them worth doing? =p Also, are they cannonable to some extent?
  3. So essentially forgo cls and get maul?
  4. Is it worth it to use a RoW (instead of a berserker ring) while Slaying? If it matters, I'll be using Kuradal with maxed gear, ovls, turmoil, and a cannon wherever and whenever possible. Also, which tasks merit using cls > rapier? Maul > rapier?
  5. I'll personally max at around 260 days, so this sounds reasonable.
  6. As has been mentioned previously, I would stick to Claws. I've found them to be the most useful across the board. Perhaps Korasi's has a slight advantage over Claws in certain scenarios, but personally, I'd rather just bring Claws along every task instead of having to worry about switching secondary weapons between tasks. If you do Dust Devils, you might want to consider a DDS for them.
  7. This is a ridiculous over-estimate. Five years of play time? It's more like a tenth of this figure.
  8. Barbarian fishing (without ridiculous purple sweet munching every three clicks) with low alching brings me in around 75k exp/hr using a lobster and urns. At level 99 fishing and with better concentration, I would assume that over 85k exp/hr is possible. ZMI is around 55k-60k, I believe?
  9. You can always craft Blue Dhide Bodies... they cost ~8gp/exp (assuming you buy tanned blue hides) and can be done at Daemonheim, as well.
  10. Chopped up my post and plopped it in as post one. Thanks for the responses thus far. Dpsing with a 2100-ish keyer/leader today yielded almost no doors that I was unable to do... whereas I find that when I key, I very often have 100+ doors. Coincidence?
  11. 1) What effect does one's total level have on a dungeon if it's high (2350+)? I realize that "Monsters will be more difficult / Rooms will be harder" is the obvious answer, but I'm curious as to whether there's any more information out there than that. Are there reasonable ways to counteract the (negative) effects it has apart from getting freeloading level threes to join your team? 2) Does the dungeon change in any way, shape, or form depending on what the party leader's total level is? EDIT: ^ This is completely true. For example, I key for Mc90123/Trollgazer all the time who has like 300 total levels over me. Every ten seconds I have to say "ggs mike" so I'm considering blacklisting him till further notice. ;) It's something that keyers with low totals get used to, so it's not a huge deal, but you WILL slow floors down if you don't respond quickly enough. If you have a high total you need to learn to do every puzzle/skill room quickly and efficiently and you need to be much more attentive than usual. EDIT: Looking at your levels, you should also take initiative to collect prom ore, make emp fire staffs, farm, make altars, open chests, and make armor for hexers. 1) Glad to know I'm not alone in my issues, but I'm on the opposite side of the fence... I key 80-90% of my floors, and it's rare that the people I play with have skills that really benefit me as a keyer; I end up having to do all of the annoying statues rooms and rc "lights on lights off" rooms that drain minutes from floors. What should I do about this, just look for teammates who have decent skills? Alternatively, I can put all my effort into maxing and then move back to dging much later in the summer... I kind of don't want to do this (I figure I'm still around 500 hours from maxing, and my summer will be about that long =s.) Is it worth it to do this, or shall I just live with keying slower floors? 2)Another question on a completely different note... Let's say I'm keying, and I come across a boss around ten minutes into a floor (call it f40 large with 50% of the doors opened, for example.) What's the best course of action at this point; have my team clear the boss and end the dungeon while I go clear rooms? Have them clear it and not end? Split my team up and have half follow me around and do gds while the other half do the boss? Is the experience gained from clearing rooms much less than the theoretical experience gained by completing a 15-minute floor? Sorry for all of the questions =p.
  12. Snip snip sniped =(. All I can add to xpx's guide is that, at 85 fishing, I was able to get around 82-5k exp/hr without logging in/out to speed up dropping of fish or binding cosmics (they save 30ish seconds per floor.) I would assume you can do 90k+ without much trouble.
  13. Thanks for the clarification, xpx =).
  14. That doesn't even remotely answer my question, though. Let's say I'm mining a rock that gives 50 experience. MPH will give me that 50 exp + 100% = 50 bonus exp; SCP will give me 50 bonus exp as well. Thus, I get 150 experience per rock mined. Let's say the SCP lasts for 15k BONUS experience and the MPH lasts for 450k BONUS experience. Will the SCP degrade after 100 rocks mined, or will it degrade after 150 rocks mined? Will the MPH degrage after 3000 rocks mined or 4500? (If I used them separately, it would be 150 and 4500, respectively, if I'm not mistaken... right??)
  15. So does using them together makes them both get used up faster or not?
  16. Does using a Master Horn with SC Pickaxes make the Horn last half as long? Is it better to use my Horn and Pickaxes separately to get the greatest benefit out of them both?
  17. Dagannoths are an excellent option for Golds, as well. I'd be surprised if you couldn't kill 800+ per hour which, with a 28-32% Gold drop rate, should yield well over 200 Golds/hr. This is assuming that you're using a cannon and familiar, of course. (I'm curious... can 1000 kills/hr be achieved? =o)
  18. I could log back in normally. Nothing has changed. Friends list and clan things look the same...
  19. So would you protect melee against its normal attacks and magic against its special attack?
  20. If you were, for example, about to be attacked with a Korasi's Sword, you should use Protect from Magic, correct? (Even though it is a melee weapon?)
  21. Cheers. I was slightly confused when I was perusing the Elite Tasks Rewards section =p.
  22. Does Varrock Armour 4 offer the chance at getting two ores per rock mined like the other three Armours do?
  23. I'm not saying that it's necessary for us to know what drop rates are. Knowing the process by which drops are selected would be beneficial, though. (I'm perfectly aware of "drop tables" and "rolls" and all of that, but I still don't see a reason that prevents Jagex from sharing this information with a larger group than a select group of Tip.iters who have--through much painful research, trial, and error--come to some conclusions on our own.) I also understand that they want to keep their game, well, theirs and that letting us know how certain processes work may be detrimental to them. I'm not encouraging the release of Effigy drop rates or anything like that. But Penance Horns? (I use this example mainly because it's the one I've dealt with recently... I realize that it's rather obscure.) Why keep us in the dark for these?
