  1. For the most part, looks are pretty important. Most outfits that have good stats already look good (bandos/slayer helm), so that just falls in naturally. When i'm skilling, looks are always nice to have
  2. Was a good interview, they just used "deep, casual game" a couple too many times for my liking #-o
  3. That's nowhere near the honor code. 1. Of course you can use food, that'd be just plain stupid otherwise. The honor code is not safing. 2. Everyone uses pots...Have you ever seen MB inventories for most people? it's like 8 brews and 4 sharks. 3. No protection prayer, but you can piety/protect item 4. Hardly anyone uses familiars when pking (unless maybe at mage bank, I haven't been there much since pvp) 5. A little bit shaky on this one, but i'm pretty sure you can run with no food 6. That's basically right If it's all the things you said, then  If it's closer to the things I said
  4. As others have said, I basically just eat to get out of the 1-hit range. If you don't safe, the person you're fighting is less inclined to safe, therefore increasing both of our chances at getting a kill. Likewise, if someone is staying at above 80% of their hp, the other person will do the same. The whole honor thing was made basically as common sense, which people who hardly ever pk seem to twist into that it was some preteen's way of getting pixels. Some people pk to have fun, with making money as a nice side effect, and others pk to make money, with fun as a side effect. People who pk for the money are the gambling type, and will take the option of not safing, because if they safe, nobody will get a kill and they'll lose money on supplies. they'd rather stay at lower hp so they can take the gamble and hopefully get a few lucky hits in to get the kill and profit. People who pk for fun want to fight, and because they want to get into a lot of fights, they'd have to stay at lower hp, or people would be less inclined to fight them because of the reasons stated above. If you safe, the person you're fighting will recognize that it's useless. You aren't going to die, so they're risking something for nothing, and will run after a matter of seconds. Either way, not safing is the preferrable option. I might as well note that this applies only to what used to be edge pking, and what's now pking in tele range. If you're in deep wilderness, it's okay to stay at higher hp, because it doesn't matter if they don't want to fight you, they'll have to run out 20 levels first. Edit: I agree that calling someone a safer is pointless, because all it's doing is getting them angry. Someone isn't about to start listening to advice when it's thrown at them with a bunch of insults.
  5. Full dharoks...skulled... For the npcs, i'd have to say the DKs drop some pretty random stuff...What are they doing holding onto red d'hide vambs and noted tallys?
  6. wow, this'll be interesting. That's just pathetic though, beating someone up and threatening them with a knife for RS items...
  7. here's when i logged in with exactly 1 hr to go
  8. Heh, I dmed my friend yesterday, he KOs me, I pm him "what'd you get" he pms back "Zuriel staff?" We go trade...
  9. This is my 2nd acc, I made my first one, had my friend show me where goblins were, then I got lost and couldn't find a bank, so I quit for 3 months. Then my 2 brothers started playing, so I started playing again on this account
  10. Only thing that confuses me is if it is like you said, your LSP would keep going up and up, because you never lose LSP except for the % every day. If you get a bandos hilt, according to your theory, you'll get the points, then lose them, therefore staying the same. What happens when people get so high that everyone has like 100m lsp? Would you get a hilt every drop? Other than that nice explaination. Might just be me being tired that it doesn't make sense, but oh well
  11. I doubt they would've rocketed up...Besides edge, most places were almost always deserted (even mage bank). PVP worlds would have only changed the loot, and people would've been angry that they got random drops instead of all of the gear that the person was wearing. Because they added BH and deprived us of the wildy for almost a year, people are eager to try it out and pk once more, so it basically brought the amount of pkers up to a level we haven't seen in 2 or 3 years. IMO having BH then pvp worlds come out was a pretty idea, because it populated the wildy again, and ensured it would stay populated for a while.
  12. bad pic on my part, got the hally+battle top 0+warrior+all the loot (41 d arrows) bit more unfortunate...all these kills had over 500k worth of stuff on them [hide=] slight glitch, he's 101, it says i can attack as low as lvl 87, but it won't let me attack died 12 times total, lost 9 rune sets and 12 defenders [/hide]
  13. goo goo g'joob ;) I'd say go for it, but it won't be much good, mainly for kicks and giggles
  14. wow nice bruno (even though he hasn't posted yet), grats
  15. I don't know if anyone else has posted this, because I just read the first 2 pages then skipped here, but here goes. Yes, they chose people with 99 everything. Yes, you can get that without knowing much about the game. Yes, some people might not have the best attitudes. However, judging by what i've been hearing from the people with 99 everything themselves, this forum is mainly for the smaller details. It's not for the epic updates, it's for the things "in other news." For example, things like shortening up the bog event in temple trekking, make the progress bar at GE in HD work, making level 5 attacker and collector in barbarian assault more useful, If you're wearing a slayer cape, you should be able to kill gargoyles without a rock hammer, make broodoo victims disappear after having been lured out after a few minutes, stuff like that. Who's better to ask than the people who've put time into every single skill in the game? Yes, there are people who are more knowledgeable in certain areas than people with 99 everything (like someone with gold cw talking about cw), but those are a LOT harder to pick out. The easiest and most effective thing that they could do was just take the 2376ers, they know what annoys them. If they want change something they're not very familiar with or want something to post, they can ask a friend for something to say
  16. That's probably the closest to what my opinion is. When I pked, I never used protect prayers. I didn't mind if the other person did it, I'd pray back then, but I was never the first person to put prayer up. It wasn't part of the honor code or anything, I just didn't find it fun hitting 0 after 0, it's more interesting and intense when you're actually dealing lots of damage, and taking a risk
  17. Yeah, syzygy was the first to 99 everything f2p, didn't know about the others :?
  18. Exactly what I was going to say. Sure, it may save you a bit of money that inventory, but 1 rune set that you lose from dying while using kebabs is worth like 20 inventories of lobs
  19. Oh well, things change, people move on, they'll find a way around it eventually. Didn't affect me all that much, might be a slight inconvenience at times, but i'm pretty sure other people will have a much stronger opinion than i do
  20. Like others have said, people lure now for mainly 2 reasons. The first one is to get a world (or defend it), and second is just to have fun. Honestly, when I go to DKs, it gets boring after a while, so when we duo hybrid, we spend about half the time trying to kill the other person. I'll put prime and supreme on him, he puts rex on me, then we have to spend the next couple minutes testing our skills and sorting it out. On more than one ocassion, our mages had teled, so I had to spend my time hallying rex while my partner solo hybridded prime and supreme. Relating this to the first reason, people often like to test thier skills (survival of the fittest) so they will fight back when getting crashed, or if they're aggrivated enough (from hopping worlds), they'll just go crash the world where the less experienced people are hogging the worlds that would be of more use to the experts. It's not really luring, as already stated, it's more of plowing down the safespots and leaving people to fend for themselves
