I know Snake is good, but he's not my sort of character, and it would take too much time to really get a good feel for him against actual people. I was thinking of Pit at first, for his arrows and aerial moves. I'll see how I feel with him, but for now I doubt I'll use him.

It's illegal in Amsterdam, and they're thinking of banning marijuana btw, I think.

Tournament coming up soon at my school, and I plan to win! Hardest thing is picking a good character before I go... I was thinking Kirby, Marth, Link, or Ike among my main choices. But I found Kirby too light, Link better for 1v1 (and I think it may be teams), Ike too slow for solo, and Marth harder to land a finish with. I've been using Marth, though. Help  (<- Puppy Eyes)

How is cost and obtainability not a problem? Either you're a rich white man who wants to seem tough (Bam Margera for ex.) or you're a dealer, I pull from that. Both are just as bad. How do YOU know what's put into your marijuana? Government control would probably be safer. I doubt mass media will advertise marijuana - do you see cigarette commercials?

I feel as if no one read my post on page 2, which probably means it was very useful. I sorta hate how tif'ers tend not to quote and expand on other people's opinions unless they can prove them wrong on a small technicality -.- Anyways, marijuana does fill the category of addiction. That self-control stuff is [cabbage]. Some people don't have as strong a reaction, others do. Once you're addicted to marijuana, it's just as hard to quit as smoking, maybe harder (due to depression and possible suicide). Not to mention all the crap in there besides marijuana. Like I said before, if marijuana is legalised, everyone will rush to do it and the people will collapse. PS. Medicinal Marijuana works mainly as pain killers and stress relief, and it's controversial because the risk for cancer is about 2 times higher or more.

He is pretty touchy. Gawsh, I'm only 14 mister  (<- Puppy Eyes). By "Child > movie," Are you agreeing that I was right =D?
  9. I like girls, but I don't want a girlfriend, but I do. I can't tell because it's either fear of commitment, uncertainty of whether or not I'd rather be with girl A or girl B, because I'm (usually) a total cheap-[wagon] for things like texting like my Dad, or because I just can't be bothered. Or a combination of the above. It's not that girls don't like me (he, a lot of my femfriends have at one point or another, I think), just... ye.

There's ups and downs with Marijuana (I currently have health class). It IS addicting, although less so than other drugs. It is a softer drug, and doesn't really have physical repercussions on others, whereas drunkenness for example might. Marijuana can work great for medical purposes, as it relieves pain and stress (some states don't allow it, is why I mention). Plus, you can't die from an overdose (people have tried, hehe) However, it does destroy certain responders in your brain, mainly those involved with memory. Loss of focus will lead to injuries w/ heavy machinery, school failure, and eventually you may even have trouble remembering your friends. Also, if you try to quit, withdrawal symptoms include depression and thoughts of suicide for up to a year. And not to mention cancer, which is much more easy to get with MJ than nicotine. Modern marijuana is not your parents weed - numbers have jumped from 5% THC to almost 80%. The government could also benefit. If the government makes a marijuana legal, but only through government controlled vendors, there is a large room for profit. Marijuana is the largest cash crop in the US, even though it's illegal. [hide=quote responses] Is doing nothing good? Obama isn't actually going to pay for your gas. He lied to you. Reminds me of a show I watched on Nat Geo about weed. The man who is the leader of the activist group to legalize it made the worst points, and he looked like he was stoned, and going to faint the whole time. His points were "people are going to do it anyway" and "it's not dangerous." Maybe I'd listen if he didn't do it. LSD is scary. It sounded fun to me at first, like a dream when I'm awake, but the potential of a bad trip I think goes with people for a while (and the whole bugs under the skin bit), but I forget it's addiction. I think Mushrooms = LSD, I haven't learned much about them. Addiction? Social failure? Job loss? Cancer? Depression? Bull Feces. Memory and Focus are destroyed.[/hide] Personally, it should stay illegal. Why? At least in the US, it's too glamorized. People will all become potheads, and the problem will be worse than ever. Just another "in the US..." joke. I don't smoke marijuana, and I'm 14 - to anyone who cares.
  11. I think I remember two Mythology Collections on the forums. One was lost during the rollback, and the other was just ignored. Maybe if we ask nicely someone will make one.
  12. Cool, I wonder what other fansites Jagex has reached out to. There's only like, 5, right? And Z---- is full of RWT ads.

I don't think Snyder or Watchmen itself is big enough for a huge complete ed. The Lord of the Rings was something that anyone who's read any Fantasy probably knows. Star Wars Episode IV worked well enough on it's own - so well that it could make a 'stellar' (see what I did there?) sequel or 5. Acting I thought worked overall, Comedian did OK, but not really good. Dan Dreiburg was played well enough, he could have been better, but he didn't fully get it. Silk Spectre II oof. Dr. Manhattan caught the apathetic thing pretty well, and if his voice was lower, he would've been more serious-sounding (and look at his eyes - the eyebrows are pretty much always relaxed = mellow) Rorschach was overrated on his performance, I thought. Maybe it's because I thought it weird to see his costume on screen... Adrian Veidt I hated since I first saw him in the ads. I knew he was going to suck once I saw his costume. I was right.

As Lenticular said, You'll probably go into withdrawal. Be sure to get support from your friends and family (unless they smoke, that won't help). You'll never make it alone. Luckily you haven't been smoking for too long (in comparison), so it should be easier than say you had been smoking for 10 years. As Toast said, play more RuneScape - soon you'll forget what smoking is :P Good Luck. PS. Maybe don't look too much at this thread, it might give you cravings.

Neil Peart (drummer from Rush) is great. I've seen vids of him and I think he was surrounded 360 degrees by all his drums (and he could play them, too). But I could be tall-taling on that... Anyways, maybe check some solo vids of him. Off Topic: Looking a Lateralus' name reminds me that I tried to buy that album today. But I mentioned it might have a PA sticker, and my parents got really worked up and made me show them the lyrics to the whole album #-o I'll have it tomorrow though. Just had to rant that.

Looks fun, I can't play M games, but I'll probably play some co-op with my friend at his house :-$ Looks to me as if RE4 was better, but again, I wouldn't know. Apparently this one is just straight up action rather than fear. I wish I could get RE4 Wii ed

Van Halen's Hot for Teacher  What kind of show? A solo performance or band (with fills and solo for you)? Just play whatever comes to your head and keep it in time and flowing. That's what I do (but I just play drums in my basement sometimes, never anything big).
  18. In the northeast, we say "wicked" as an adjective esque sentence enhancer. For instance, if someone says, "that's f***ing awesome." it's used like that. Ex. "That's wicked awesome." That's Wicked cool. I'm wicked tired...
  19. i just automatically assumed they were [bleep] and slept with any traveler who passed by I didn't know how babies were made then : But they had Ganondorf, no? This is very interesting. Too bad it's Friday, I'd like to ask my bio teacher (the one I had the alien nightmare about, who is now my spring track coach) more about it :-k
  20. he would be a christian, a follower of his own beliefs Karl Marx was a marxist, Confucious was a Confucionist(spelling) etc. Well, he was a Christian in the end, but he was raised as a Jew. No, he was a Jew throughout his life. Christianity is based on his teachings, and people being split as to whether or not he was the son of God, or just a prophet. Same with Confuscious - others chose to follow his te4achings, enough that it is a religion. He was Middle Eastern yellowish-brown skinned, just as Adam and Eve would have been(if they existed) (The Garden of Eden was described as between the Tigris and Euphrates... or at least the Euphrates (Tigris and Euphrates was Mesopotamia)). Btw I hate history. Just Sayin'.
  21. These are the kind of topics in the USA that make me wanna hack every television station and give the entire nation the finger, telling them to lighten up. Videogames are meant to be fun, and if it's too violent for you, DON'T PLAY IT!!! It's up to parents to decide for their children, most of these deaths are M related videogames, and are played by children who obviously can't mentally handle the content that is given in a game meant for MATURE audiences. The mature only says age, because it assumed that at an older age you SHOULD be able to handle it. If you're too young, you're too young. Unfortunately, with videogames being so easily available, People are easily prone to such things. But so is alcohol, and movies like Saw. Potential solution: Add an M18+ rating, like with E10+. Give low-key M games the M rating, and they can be bought at 16, and give the high end M18+ rating fill the developer's taboo of AO, also let M18+ only be bought with ID. That way a parent SHOULD know near EXACTLY what they or their child is getting, and higher end games will be known as higher end to everyone. Violent videogames are for people to vent things that are normally taboo, and extract fun from that anyone who thinks that killing a real person will be as fun as killing a virtual person is psychotic, and the reason is most likely NOT derived from videogames alone. Also to point out is MadWorld, recently released for the "Family Friendly" Wii. A blogger on Yahoo! pointed out that this game would ruin that reputation. What makes a person buying a game for their family think a game with a giant M on the box would be appropriate? There are too many family-friendly games on the Wii to count. Nintendo has described the Wii as being for EVERYONE. Why should that exclude the more mature audiences? Unless a videogame or my examples above directly say "Kill a man," or "Lose your Virginity at 12," it is quite simply artistic expression. Very, very, very true. People are generally [developmentally delayed]ed. And that includes me. Done.
  22. 1. I thought Train of Thought had some good bits, particularly Vacant/Stream of Consciousness. 2. I also liked Systematic Chaos overall, minus Dark Eternal Night and Prophets of War. 3. I think flaming because you don't like a certain type of music is [developmentally delayed]ED. Maybe I should just flame the rap thread because I don't like it? 4. I've gathered most people on this thread have liked Dream Theater at one point or another. Just sayin'. I AM SUPER-EXCITED FOR THIS ALBUM.

Ugh. I wasn't expecting that much violence, although I guess I should have been. It didn't help that my bladder was about to rupture the whole time. Honestly, most violent movie I've probably seen is Saving Private Ryan, or the spire through head bit in Hot Fuzz. I haven't seen many R movies - this was only my second actually in theaters (first was Role Models). I'm only 14 Why may I ask are you seeing a rated R film when you're 14? It's just a guide, remember. My parents were shaky about it, but they let me go as long as they didn't have to, so I went with my (rich) friend. You see plenty of kids with M games, no? Anyways, I forget where I had heard praise about the book, but I soon discovered that my mom had it - and it's a Warner Pictures 1987 copy too (plenty of first-ish ed. typos, I've noticed). Anyway, I read it, I liked it, I heard they were making a movie, and I was excited. I read it again twice in that time and this time really picked it apart and understood more of it. I was more excited. Comics are for kids ;) I can't play M games though :( #-o :-k

I guess that's a nice nod to the moment in the comic where Rorschach makes a mental note to investigate whether or not he's a homosexual.   Anyways, IGN rated the Black Freighter DVD pretty well, and very nice for fans. I'd personally just wait for the ultimate DVD... And I saw an 8-ish year old walk out of the theater (at the end). That's how you can tell if someone hasn't read the comic. They keep saying they wanna see the super-heroes and Batman (Nite Owl).
