  1. Not an extremely creative or novel idea, but not a bad one either. I was simply just thinking along the lines of another guild to supplant legends, since that was the 50th quest and Runescape hasn't had a new guild in a long time. However, I'm pretty much open to anything as long as it requires some very high skills. I don't have everything 60+ yet, but I've had every skill at 50+ since the summer of 2004 (if you don't count immediately after the releases of slayer and farming), so really I just haven't been bothered to raise some of the skills I don't like (in particular herblore). Maybe a quest with high requirements would be motivation.
  2. I was finally able to get back on. Apparantly there was a small reset, I got sent all the way back to Shantay Pass before I left for the KQ.
  3. Yeah, I happened to log out at the KQ... Now I can't get back in.
  4. June 2004, right after school ended. I was somewhere in the low-70s for combat.
  5. I've never staked before, so I can't really say how good it is for money when it comes to personal experience. I don't have 91 runecrafting, 85 slayer, or 85 mining. For anything I've actually done, the list would be (based solely upon how fast money can be made with the method): 1) Merchanting 2) Barrows (Largely luck-based, but overall when considering long periods of time, I'd say it falls here) 3) Abyss Runecrafting 4) Ranging Blue Dragons 5) Fletching Yew Longs
  6. From early August 2004 - Valentine's Day (February 14) 2006, I always wore white partyhat/legends cape/glory/cooking gauntlets/desert boots. It was my trademark sort of outfit I guess, but 2 days ago I sold my white and bought a red and purple instead after I came very close to losing it (for like the 5th time, but the first time since over a year ago when white was value at <20M), so now I mostly just wear a fez with rogues and obsidian cape. Either that, or my old costume sans white.
  7. I've never had any problems with RL friends in RS. I think most high schoolers (at least so called honor students) are mature enough to be able to put aside a game for more important matters. Members is actually quite good in terms of the community in comparison to other online games and free. The average age in RS members is at least 14 or 15, so while there are still plenty of idiots, most people have at least some capacity to reason. Walking around on free with a low level really makes me appreciate members.
  8. I can totally sympathize with anybody who says that if you die, most likely it's your fault and you deserve to lose you items. But at the same time, it just goes against my conscience if I don't do it. I'm actually probably opposite of most people. If the person dies and loses items that aren't worth much (ex. rune), then I usually won't bother and just keep it. On the other hand, if they lost something valuable (like a partyhat) I would be more inclined to return it, because it would be of more importance to that person.
  9. Very interesting... If a Chinese version is indeed released, then I'll have to introduce my cousins to it and play with them >_>
  10. I usually get a few of those every time I go to greaters for a task. I have 8 sitting in my bank right now that I haven't bothered to get rid of. They're not rare or anything, but hey, if you like it, congrats.
  11. I've yet to try the arena, I probably will soon though. I went there today just to unlock the 4 associated songs, and thought it looked like a decent change. As for compliments... I'm totally opposite of you, that sort of stuff just annoys me. I'm not a person who enjoys compliments at all (really, I'd almost rather be insulted because then I can have some fun), real life or not. One of the reasons why I only wear simple items these days.
  12. I'd like to get a second party hat. Other than that, there really isn't anything else in runescape that I want and don't have at the moment.
  13. I sold my dragon square which I had had for more than a year a few months ago, not only because of the obsidian shield's strength bonus, but I just think it looks better with the abyssal whip as well. Large shields with whip just look clumsy IMO.
  14. In your reward section, you mention 7000 ranged XP. I believe you mean 7000 crafting XP instead. Fixed ~Albosky
  15. Burnt sharks are for sentimental reasons, the amount I burnt going from partway through 84 to 94. If the ogre bows can replace each other, then I guess I can toss the original one. That's 1 space. Coif and rune scims are for PKing on F2P. Rune chain I wear, and rune plate I keep only because I still have the original one that I bought from Oziach some 2 and a half years ago after completing dragonslayer on RS1. The meds I'll alch, the larges I keep once again for F2P purposes. [bleep]e boots I suppose I can trash, but I've never gotten rid of the sled because I don't wan't to go through the trouble of getting it again should I need it. The bird's nests I've been meaning to take care of. That's another spot. I need 1000 tomato seeds. They're worth quite a decent amount, and it's some good farming XP. The hops I can toss, so that's another space. I like how the fez looks, I wear it sometimes while woodcutting. I wear the scarf often. I threw the rest of the stuff out because I didn't wear it, but I do wear the red/white scarf a lot. Do I need 2 cats? No. Do I like having 2 cats? Yes. I don't have warrior helmet, I have berserker. And it's the helmet that I wear while meleeing on P2P. Plus rune larges and scims are just a pain to not make bank space for because greaters/fire giants drop them so often. All in all that's 5 spaces. Better than not getting rid of the stuff I suppose.
  16. If anybody would like to give me suggestions on what to throw out it would be great. I only have 14 spots left when I don't have anything withdrawn, so space isn't too much of an issue but I'd like to have more nevertheless. Keep in mind that I will NOT throw out anything that I use for skills (ex. chisel, hammer, tinderbox, moulds) even if it's not something I'm likely to use very often. Convenience and time are the two most important things to me in this game. Also, anything that I would rarely use but would have a hard time getting back if lost I won't throw out either (ex. gorilla greegree).
  17. It's really not that difficult. Check the minimap for red dots, if there are many of them (ex. from firemaking) then manually look for it. You have plenty of time before it appears. I've cut from ~40 woodcutting to 89 since RS2 came out and have yet to lose a single axe head. You're given plenty of chance to get it back...
  18. Bottom line, barrows IS much better than dragon. The gap between dragon and barrows in stats is huge compared to that between dragon and rune. I'm fairly certain that Jagex has previously stated that they will NOT complete full dragon (as in no large, kite, or plate), though we all know that Jagex tends to go against their word. Personally I don't even own any melee barrow sets, simply because I quit melee over a year ago so there's no reason. I still have dragon just because I like the look of it. In terms of practicality, barrows>dragon; but if you have the money and think dragon looks better, why not?
  19. Happens to me a lot (and has been for a long time), not at any monsters specifically but pretty much everywhere.
  20. You have friends who are level 90 with skill totals in the 1100s? o_O Farming is my worst skill, simply because I find it annoying teleporting around and farming patches, and obviously because it's the newest skill. But it's far from useless, as many people have already pointed out, buying herb seeds and growing them will overall save you money as opposed to if you had just bought the herbs.
  21. Im 69 cooking and I still burn lobsters Not with cooking gauntlets you wouldn't.
  22. So currently we're at 97 quests and 194 QP... Interesting, exactly a 2 QP per quest average. In any case, ideally I'd like Jagex to have quest number 98 and 99 allow the max QP to be at or exceed 200, then release a new guild like legends and quest involving it for #100. And make the requirements include 200 QP too >_> Nowadays, legends really isn't an indicator of anything, especially since it takes few completed quests to get the QP above the requirement. I'd like to see something new that transcends legends.
  23. Lol, obviously a joke by the seller, though I'd be willing to bet he'd actually sell them if somebody did bid.
  24. I've completed Saradomin and Zamorak, Guthix book is still totally empty. And holy book is useful for abyss runecrafting, as it gives defense bonuses to all types of attack and can be retrieved if you lose it.
