  1. I was just in Edge bank preparing for my next slayer task when I found the number 3 slayerer! (Along with Rank 1 range and Rank 4 HP) I was even more surprised to find the Number 1 woodcutter as well!
  2. I spent a few days camping at monsters trying to get scrolls so I could unlock the music track. After killing about 1000 of each monster that dropped them except lessers, and being unsuccessful, I continued to camp at the goblin hut. I killed goblins cause they're the quickest to kill. I was relatively lucky, and got a scroll after 3450 kills... My advice is if you want any scroll, just kill goblins in the Lumbridge Hut. You'll race through the kills.
  3. This is my high hits vid if anyone is interested. Includes some nice 100+ hits with keris and dharok. :D http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XKFqVG0Ckv0
  4. This is my high hits vid that I made about a week ago if anyone's interested. It includes some nice 100+ hits with keris and Dharok :D : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XKFqVG0Ckv0
  5. My approach has varied over the years. I first played in the days of late classic. There I was just having fun, not doing much. But after awhile I had a break for 6 months or so. When I came back, I found RS2 had come out. I found myself playing more and more regularly, and then I decided to get membership. At first it was just fun, trying out all the new and exciting things. I eventually found myself training harder and harder. The climax of this was last christmas holidays. (I live in NZ so December holidays are the long ones for me.) I managed to pc both 99 mage and str. Playing many hours a day, setting targets of 600+ points a day. I have no idea how I managed it. Now I can't go back to pc at all. When I went to try and get my range up, I got fed up after about 100 points. My targets nowadays are very lax. Just trying to get my slayer up is hard for me. I can hardly do 2 assignments without having to play at least 1 game of cw in between. I also have a friend who does slayer. He is in lvl 80's while I'm in lvl 70's. We got lvl 70 and 80 around the same time. He gets his lvls faster than I do, despite his exp being aruond 3x more. He is now 86 while I'm only 74. -.-
  6. It's (quite obviously) a historical day for the compliments and rants forums too.... Compliments had a high of about 100 at one stage (more than I've ever seen) Rants had 15x more.... 'Nuff said.
  7. A little while ago (about half an hour), I found Bob the Jagex Cat wandering around Edge in W111. Took a couple of screenies of him and the dialogue: This dialogue is Bob talking to my cat. (My cat's underneath Bob) (Another similarity to non-runescape things. It's just like Darth Vader revealing to Luke that he is his father, and that they can overthrow the Emperor. (From Star Wars)) This one is just Bob saying one of his "Top Tips". On a different topic to the previous to pics: I recently also got 94 mage, same as Zoob. (It's becoming a popular thing.) P.S It really does own in CW.
  8. Good guide. I tryed it out when I had kalphites as a slayer task, and found the most annoying thing was how little I got the spec. I usually got when it only had 10-20hp left and when I finally got 1 at the start, I only hit a 33. (Oh well, still great guide). Just a couple of things: You might want to add to the how to get there section, the use of fairy rings if you have unlocked them. The code is "BIQ". The ring is just south east of the lair and you'll have to bring a lunar/dramen staff instead of a shanty pass. Another way to get there is via Dorgesh-Kaan. In the South Dungeon there is a "blocked tunnel" (you can still get through) to the kalphite lair. It takes you to the start by the workers. You can get close to the tunnel by using another fairy ring, "AJQ". You need to bring a light source, but don't need a rope. (Unless you're wanting to go to the Queen.) EDIT: I finally got a higher hit by KOing a worker. (40 damage.)
  9. Sorry, but I have to disagree. I got my scythe from behind the Falador Shield Shop. I also know of someone else who got theirs behind the Goblin House in Lumbridge.
  10. A few more... from the rants forum of course. I especially like all the replies.
  11. Geez these are easy to find... especially in the rants forum.
  12. Add me to the supporters list! When I finished reading this, I almost thought that this was a real skill and I was reading the knowledge base!
  13. Add me to the supporters list! Recently I went around Runescape unlocking all the pieces on my jukebox. (Only pieces I didn't get was the "Vicotry is Mine" piece from the Champion's Challenge, "Strength of Saradomin" (No 70 agility) and "The Quizmaster" as I haven't got the random event yet.) While I got the personal satisfaction out of doing it, there is no way of displaying my achievement, so this cape would do that (and it would make me get 70 agility and get a Champion's Challenge scroll as I would want to trim my QP cape.)
  14. Nice guide... apart from the bad grammar and spelling. You might also want to add not to be put off if the autoer starts talking to you. Several times when I have been autoer pking, when you walk next to them or attack them, they say things like "Hi", "No pk" or "I'm no autoer". The way I found to distinguish between autoer and non-autoer was that I said something like "Say "Bob" if not an autoer", and wait for 10 seconds or so. If they didn't say "Bob" or whatever I told them to say, I attacked them. Feel free to add this if you want
  15. Hmmm... I'd have to say that my favourite quests would be Desert Treasure, Recipe For Disaster, Swan Song, Garden of Tranquility, Forgettable Tale..., and My Arm's Big Adventure. The first three because they were long and had good boss fights, and the last three because they had funny cutscenes. I'm surprised at how much some quests have changed over the years though, especially the f2p ones, as I did all the f2p quests except Dragon Slayer back in the days of RSC. When I do some of them again on my pure they're actually quite different. (The storylines are the same, they just have different graphics and some of them now have cut scenes.)
  16. Darkforest just after getting all 99's (He's wearing a mining cape) Broski training hunter (He's wearing a smithing cape)
  17. Before Runescape, I always called myself Matty, but that annoyingly that name was taken, so I tryed Mattie. This was also taken so I tryed putting 9's on the end. I first used Mattie999, but then I got stuck on tutorial island (this was in the days of Classic, and when I was a real newb), so I started again with Mattie9999. I somehow managed to get through Tutorial Island with that character, and so the name stuck.
