  1. But there's already a thread about it, and therefore no reason for you to make a new one to discuss the same exact subject. See above. See my first post in your thread.
  2. It didn't look like it was supposed to be definitive proof of anything. Ampharaos said that the rapier could beat the maul, not that it is definitely and irrefutably better than the maul. It's just a cool video; calm down.
  3. 1) There's a thread for this. 2) There's a forum for this if all you wanted to do was rant. 3) You're wrong.
  4. I agree with Qeltar, Ravian, Dragonlordjl, etc. It bothers me enough that I can never complete my account due to missing past holiday events (despite my account being nine years old), but to give out an item for something that I cannot feasibly do? To practically advocate RWT with said item? There's something seriously wrong. It's completely contradictory to everything Jagex has said and done over the years.
  5. Nice try at reading comprehension. ;) I was able to understand both his post and his point. I hate to disappoint Omali, but I have to point out that you're clearly a troll, and I've unfortunately fed you.
  6. indeed. For the surgical, efficient gamer, few things said hold true ( for example many dungeoneer although they do not enjoy it). But that can be said about any runescape activity: you can't choose what theiving to do because in reality one method is the fastest (that's the basic tennet many seem to be following). Then again, the avid, scientifically inclined gamers know relying on Jagex' public image for truth as being similar to trusting a fast food chain on healthy eating strategies. Forgetting the fun that's the main objective of any game, much of the rationale is indeed false or misleading to those already deeply immersed in runescape. However, I've dungeoneered with those of combat levels in the double digits. Much of the article is true to them (and true up until maybe level 45 dungeoneering thus far). Public companies and honesty: i certainly can't think of an example of a semi-large company who fit the bill. Lol. You literally didn't have a point in your entire post. Kids acting smart ftw. Companies try to promote their products, great discovery there buddy. I didn't know you had to be "scientifically inclined" to know that, haha How so? You can't just say that someone has no point and then not explain why. Kids acting smart ftw.
  7. I've only seen people argue that the rapier is better for slayer. Old picture. Undeniable and irrefutable proof that Jagex is anti-religious. EDIT: Cropped the picture.
  8. Whoever did Skeletor needs to do Lucien. /two cents.
  9. Maybe you should stop getting 99s for the sake of having 99s. I just got my first 99 and I'm 135 combat. I got it while training slayer, which is my favorite skill. What do you enjoy in Runescape?
  10. Oh wow, that guy's good. Reminds me of Kingduffy.
  11. I'm a crazy powerslayer. It's probably the only skill that I put 100% focus into.
  12. Sign me up for the User Drawing! You're too generous. <3:
  13. I assume that you weren't present during the last bonus weekend, then? Anyone who remembers the last bonus weekend remembers that blah blah blah . . . I've already explained all of that. A reward that isn't available to everyone and, again, blah blah blah . . . explained that one, too. Likewise. Except that this isn't like every other update. How so? 100 hours of charm collecting is "no real effect"? You're going to have to expand on that one. Hardly. It's not an update that everyone has access to for the rest of their Runescape careers; It's a (hopefully) one time occurrence. If you don't understand the implications of that, then we're clearly done here. At this point I'm skeptical that you even play Runescape.
  14. It's not just about the hoarding. Bonus weekends are incredible opportunities to save tons of money and time (especially in regards to summoning; two posters said that the last bonus weekend saved them about 100 hours of charm collecting). It literally devalues skills, and not in the same way that new training methods do. Competition for GWD worlds skyrocketed after the last bonus weekend. You're deluded if you think that the majority of players will respond any differently to how I've said they would. You may be above taking advantage of these weekends, but most of us aren't as intelligent as you, apparently.
  15. Are you really that [developmentally delayed]ed or are you just trolling? It's not luck like a soloed Armadyl hilt. It's an update that completely ruins the Runescape experience for weeks. It forces players to grind, hoard, and no-life when they otherwise wouldn't. When the first weekend was announced, some players just happened to be either loaded with charms or had the junk to buy unbuyable herbs and seconds. It turned Runescape upside down for everyone. I completely agree with Soma's post a little ways up. I wouldn't mind a bonus weekend if it only affected mostly unbuyable skills and had a lower, static multiplier. Possible player outcomes if Jagex has a bonus exp weekend: 1- Obtain supplies 2- Buy supplies 3- Wing it and just train fairly casually 4- Get lucky, because you already had supplies saved up 5- Don't participate Is it that hard for you to understand? Any update can have an economic effect, get over it. You missed the part where players stress out for weeks, are unable to purchase supplies, and no-life for the entire weekend because they feel that they have to. You have an incredibly short-sighted and narrow view of what these weekends mean for Runescape. They promote grinding in an already grind-based game.
  16. Where are people getting the 30% bonus for the celestial staff? It's not in the knowledge base. Can someone show me a picture of one being wielded? I know that the KB is still horribly wrong with a lot of those items.

I was part of that club until just recently. Just got 99 Constitution at 95 Slayer.
  18. Myu explained that staffs work differently. The highest level staffs are tier 3.

  20. Sooo true... It died for many chinese players... I lol'd.
  21. Combat familiars become okay at 79, but only for slayer and other "grind" training like that. The only combat familiar worth using at bosses (and only TDs and Arma, to my knowledge) is a steel titan. But when it comes to training, always use a combat familiar once you hit 79.
  22. I stand corrected. I hadn't thought of hunter (which is a pretty big oversight, admittedly).
  23. But that's simply not true. Take Toony001 for example -- he had tens of thousands of charms saved up which he used to take the #1 spot for summoning last bonus exp weekend. Not everyone has the same opportunity to stock up on supplies, especially in an economy where people will surely turn to junk trades to get the supplies they need upon announcement of a second bonus weekend. Who wins? Those who saved up charms or had the junk necessary to purchase their supplies.
