  1. Herblore and prayer. Choose wisely.
  2. As in any time you are hitting less than one in fifty times because you are wearing full rune to barrage with? That is what it takes to make those things better than the Staff of Light... and probably missing even more than that as well. Master Wand is more accurate and cheaper. Great for PKing. Void Mace hits higher than fire surge with SoL. Great for DKs if you don't need magic experience and want to prevent crashing. Zuriel's Staff allows you to cast miasmic spells. Great for obvious reasons. Use it till your miasmic barrage connects then switch to Master Wand or SoL. EDIT: It should be noted that Jagex did a great job of balancing the SoL, as evidenced by it not being the best staff in every or nearly every possible situation (I'm looking at you, whip).
  3. The more we learn about the lore of this skill, the more excited I am to see what Jagex does with it.
  4. And I don't recommend that you ranged slay exclusively. Personally, I'm ranged/mage slaying because I can't stand training those skills any other way.
  5. The inability to construct a coherent sentence at the age of nine (I assume that you're nine) is a sign of illiteracy.
  6. And even more so with the chaotic staff.
  7. Then I would definitely agree that slayer is not a good option for you.
  8. Seeing as how you're familiar with the "Slayer Sucks" thread, Dzi, you should be aware that many posters proved most of Compfreak's arguments to be incorrect. Compfreak was an incredibly inefficient slayer who argued against it based on how he himself slayed. EDIT: To clarify, the only argument that Compfreak made that was not proven wrong was that armored zombies are faster melee experience than slayer. Assuming that a player has balanced stats and will be training all of them, including slayer, at some point in his/her career, it's the best way to train combat. It is simply untrue that maxing via other methods, THEN coming back to slayer, is faster and more efficient.
  9. That's just... false. A linear combination of the best methods would take lest time than slaying given slayer is worse at all three of those. This is assuming that the player will be training slayer at some point in their career.
  10. You can't ask for efficiency and then disregard the posts that provide you with the most efficient solutions. Buy a proselyte plate, Verac's skirt, fury (DO IT), get a fire cape, and spend the rest on prayer potions for piety.
  11. In other words, never buy a fury. Fury is best amulet in the game for slaying. It is definitely worth it. @PereGrin Dragon Armour is simply awful and no one should ever buy it for slayer. Better off slaying in Bandos armour (if you can afford it), Barrows armour (If you can't afford Bandos but need the defence) or Proselyte (Have sufficient defence to cover all slayer tasks and would like to save money for Offensive boosting prayers). Finally someone gives some decent advice. Proselyte, Verac's skirt, fire cape, full slayer helm, fury, barrows gloves, rune defender, whip, dragon boots, always pray piety. BAM, you're almost slaying at max speed. Buy a Guthan's plate (usually the cheapest barrows plate) for those hard-hitting tasks. You should also invest in a ZS for waterfiends. Always use combat familiars. Cannon as much as possible.
  12. Slayer is not the best way to gather charms. Slayer is not the best way to train any one combat skill. Slayer is not the best way to make money. However, Slayer does all of these things at the same time, so it ultimately saves time. Time is money. At your levels, you should be able to get a fire cape with some practice, so I would recommend that you get a proselyte plate, Verac's skirt, whip, rune defender, barrows gloves, dragon boots, fury, berserker ring, full slayer helm, and a fire cape. This is your standard melee task set. You should also buy a Zamorakian spear, Karil's top, and Karil's skirt. This is your waterfiends and mage defense set. Use the rest of your money to buy a cannon, cannonballs, super sets, and a LOT of prayer potions. Always use piety, except on tasks where your cannon is doing most of the work (spectres and dagannoths). I didn't look at your summoning level, but if it's 79 or higher, use a combat familiar as often as possible. You should complete the Seer's diary for an enhanced excalibur if you find that you need extra healing (you probably will). EDIT: Looked at your levels again. Use a bunyip until you can use a titan at level 79. If you absolutely refuse to get a fire cape, get a SW cape (though it's probably easier to get a fire cape). Alternatively, a good portion of tasks can be ranged, so ranged slaying is an option. If you decide to ranged slay, get black d'hide, a rune crossbow, broad bolts, full slayer helm, Ava's accumulator, barrows gloves, unholy book, blessed spirit shield (cheap and effective for tanking), fury, snakeskin boots, an archers' ring, and a Zamorak stole for spiritual mages and tasks that require protection prayers. This will be considerably slower experience than meleeing, and you'll use more prayer potions on average. Always use the eagle eye prayer and ranging potions.
  13. D Jay99 and I pretty much do the same stuff (he just does it more consistently and he's been doing it longer <_< ). Aviansies are definitely a good option if you're going for a high ranged level and need money at the same time. Now would be a great time to do it, too, as everyone is busy with dungeoneering. I highly recommend that you farm, farm, farm, MTK, farm, MTK, battlestaffs, farm, MTK, MTK, farm, slayer (I've probably made most of my money from slayer, so it's an option), farm, Bork, farm, and camp aviansies.
  14. Happens while you're in Zanaris. EDIT. Damn it, Artemis.
  15. Hahaahaha, you slayeth me.
  16. Is it physical graph paper or some sort of program, out of curiosity?
  17. I definitely think you're right in that everything is moving to electronic readers, and newspapers will be no exception. I plan to be an editor for a publishing company someday, so it's interesting to think about it; I may never edit a real paperback book in my lifetime. Well, maybe, anyway. I'm only twenty.
  18. Congratulations. I like your Runecrafting and Agility levels.
  19. It really depends on how good you are at BA and how quickly you can complete rounds. If you're good, it's definitely worth it. If not . . . you should learn. I personally feel that it's worth it, as I hate training agility, so I'll take every advantage I can get. Furthermore, I'm pretty good at BA.
  20. I really hope it's elite diaries.
  21. You seem to care so much that it was worth posting your opinion on the matter. I wouldn't be surprised if Zarfot somehow came out of left-field and snagged #1 dungeoneering. I'm not ashamed to admit that I've always been a Zarfot fanboy, ever since his first slayer guide.

    Congratulations.
  23. Explain to me how somebody can hack you just by seeing you post a picture. All they need to know is your username. From that on, everything becomes a matter of method and skill, but just by knowing our username then can enter into your account. Most people will have a different RSN than login name, so your point is (almost) moot. I could post a picture of myself standing in Lumbridge, spamming my password, and no one could hack me. EDIT: Well, if it wasn't for the password censoring thing.
