12-Apr-2010 - Dungeoneering Skill!
I've been soloing this floor for 45 minutes. I've looted the entire place, made the best food that I could, and I'm preparing to fight the boss, when Jagex says . . . I get booted off and the login server is down, apparently. <_<

= New Chaotic Items =
It only costs 200k/h. That's pretty cheap considering that it's easily superior.

Once you've unlocked the boss door, you can talk to the smuggler and he will tell you the tricks/strategies for the boss  THANK YOU.

The number of items that we can bind is really annoying. I wish it were more like one item every twenty or thirty levels.

Yeah, pissed me off.

It would be kinda cool to smuggle promethium ores out of Daemonheim to be attached to rune armor at very high smithing level (101 smithing to do a full set, maybe?). High level, untradable smithing update, anyone? ;)

A new maximum level?
Upping the cap to 120 would almost certainly allow Jagex to introduce faster training methods. In fact, I do believe this is already happening.

When you defeat a boss you have a small chance to receive a tier 11 item. I heard that it's more likely if you're playing with 4 other people. This sounds right. I got celestial boots from a boss, but I had to leave them behind because I'm not 99 defense or magic. <_<

I agree. Dungeoneering is like a cross between SC, Hunter, and Slayer, IMO. SC as far as gameplay; Hunter and Slayer as far as rewards.

hai saru All dungeons are instanced, so you don't need to worry about crowds. It's too early to tell for sure, but apparently it starts to pick up around level 30. It's pretty slow before that, as far as I can tell. Also, you can solo the dungeons, so don't worry about not being to find a good team.

12-Apr-2010 - Dungeoneering Skill!
It takes so long for me to solo a floor. I can only do one at a time before I get burnt out. I'll have to get some of my friends to duo or trio with me, because soloing is just too mentally exhausting. I'm having fun though, for sure. I just wish that the ingame skill guides gave you the number of items you need to make certain items (EG: The dungeoneering summoning guide tells you that you need a type of leather to make such-and-such pouch, but it doesn't mention that you need TWO of those leathers. Gave me a couple headaches).

I would be happy with increasing the cap to 120. The only problem I foresee is current bosses becoming akin to chickens.

That is my idea of fun, actually, though I don't know (and neither do you) if that's the case.

For those wondering, you CAN play solo. I'm just unsure of how practical it is to do so. I'm so curious as to what the level 120 "true skill mastery" is. It's not explained in the KB as far as I can tell. This skill is so incredibly complex. There's so much to learn. I tried for about twenty minutes (in a random party) and got to level three before I gave up and read the entire KB article. It does seem like Stealing Creation: Deluxe Edition, but I think it's a very cool concept for a skill. It's 5:25am here, and I've been up all night. I can't go to bed because I'm too excited. :geek:

Bossing questions
I didn't read the whole thread, but I have to say that Bandos is far from necessary for slayer. Fire cape, proselyte plate, and Verac's skirt using piety. BAM, you're almost slaying at max efficiency right there.

CT Waterfiends with my levels/gear.
Got 103 crimsons my first trip. Less monks, more prayer potions, and I should only bring two wolper scrolls. It's a lot more fun than ancient cavern fiends, and it felt faster (though I didn't time it or anything). EDIT: Second trip was much better after tweaking my inventory a bit. I also used a diamond (i) instead of a zerker ring, though I'm not sure if it made a difference.

Blessed spirit shield
It's great if you're ranging/maging and you have to tank. I use it to ranged/mage slay.

CT Waterfiends with my levels/gear.
Relevant levels: 97 attack, strength, defense. 98 constitution. 90 magic. 92 prayer. 92 summoning. I can't use extreme potions. Here's the gear I'm thinking about using. Would a seers' ring be better? I could get a diamond(i) if the crush attack bonus would be better. And here's my inventory. Probably more monks, right? I'd be using a wolpertinger, of course. The scrolls are for a little extra magic defense during the aggressive stage. I'd be using the berserker curse, soul split, and leech attack/strength/defense. I realize that I wont be able to stay a full hour, but I'm hoping that this would be at least a little better than ancient cavern fiends given my gear and stats. EDIT: I'll summon a wolper and use super set doses and an antifire dose before I head off. Any changes or improvements I could make?

Post and discuss all Jagex Twitter updates here!
It certainly sounds like a boss monster. I'm crossing my fingers.

Nomad vs Kyatt
Took me eight tries. Never used a kyatt. I used a ZS and a hand cannon.

Mage training arena good way to train mage?
I agree. The advent of tabs make B2P relatively worthless, and you'll make money if you spend your points on infinity. I had no idea that they updated the Telekinetic Theatre. That was always my least favorite part, too. I might have to go back now.
