I can confirm that a Saradomin Sword is better than a Zamorakian Spear on waterfiends. It's not a huge difference, but there's a difference.

A 2008 HP laptop with a HORRIBLE graphics card. It's a great, (mostly) reliable computer, but the graphics card is so bad that Runescape is choppy on safe mode with everything turned all the way down and NO background programs running. I wish there was someway to fix that.

This. Though, because of seeing so many Evony ads, I'd be skeptical to click that ad if I didn't know what Runescape was.

If I had it my way, they'd re-release all the non-tradeable holiday items every easter / halloween / christmas like they do with the emotes. I don't give a damn that someone is mad because they can't show off anymore. So you've been playing this game for x number of years (or more accurately, been playing x number of years and showed up to the event; I don't have bunny ears purely because I didn't know about the holiday events back then). Go you. It's a game, who cares. THIS. Also, I'm not looking forward to doing the event. It sounds frustrating. As I mentioned in another thread, the Halloween event reward is almost guaranteed to be a ring that turns you into a jack-o-lantern.

The closer I get to maxed combat, the more it bothers me that there's no armor or weapons worthy of my levels. Bosses have become absolute jokes. The last three D&D's were great ideas that were poorly implemented. MA is a disaster that I feel forced to partake in for the rewards. Holiday items are consistently rehashes of previous items (five bucks says the Halloween reward is a ring that turns you into a jack-o-lantern). There have been a handful of great updates this year, but I'm not seeing the 'awesome' just yet.

There's no point in using heavies and trying to win since you can get max 12 ranks/hr. It's better to just AFK it. That's true; forgot about that.

All I attempted to do was provide the max mage attack bonus. I would definitely choose a SoL over a master wand, but the wand is still more accurate.

Use world 76(?), the one that only requires four people to start a game. Play siege. Send your units to attack the wall. Five minutes into the game, shoot your units down with cannons (special unit; purchased from special unit table). You'll get a rank every time you do this properly. If you're the last one standing, you'll get two ranks. A lot of people will attempt to kill you, so I actually prefer using heavy units, and I start attacking other people five minutes into it (because by that time, all the suiciders have their ranks and you wont bother them). If you can win a game in less than ten minutes, you're getting ranks faster than by just suiciding, so it's an option, but far less AFKable. The rings have difference uses for different things. A berserker (i) is great for most slayer tasks (assuming melee, and with the possible exceptions of mithril dragons, ice strykewyrms, etc. Use an onyx (i) on those). Onyx (i) is useful for mage and ranged slaying, but switch to seers' (i) or archers' (i) depending on the monster (seers' while maging steel dragons, for example). It's important to note that a dragonstone (i) has only -1 compared to an onyx, but has a negligible cost and doesn't protect over anything important, unlike onyx. This makes a dragonstone (i) one of the better rings for boss hunting. Berserker (i) is also used for corp. I'm not sure if onyx (i) is, too.

You mean Staff of Light :P Master Wand has +20 to magic attack, where Staff of Light has +17.

The problem is your magic level, not necessarily your gear (though that needs some work, too). Anyone who's seen Maz's blog knows that he's more than likely the most experienced Corper on these forums. As far as I'm aware, Bladewing seems to be pretty experienced, too. Knowing both of them, they've thoroughly tested both d'hide and void, and I would trust their opinions over most others. I literally lol'd when Aeil called Maz an idiot.

I'm totally gonna start doing this. I use it to keep track of goals and such, normally.

To be honest, I wouldn't do it without a pack yak. A friend of mine has spent the last two and a half years or so killing miths everyday, looking for a DFH. He has yet to get one as far as I know. But yeah, I think you should get a pack yak before you do it. That way you'll make a lot more money. You could also kill steel dragons at Ghorrock with a pack yak, collecting the bones and steel bars and banking everything. It's fast to bank.

I agree with Omali, Bladewing, and D Jay99. If you don't like being crashed, get bigger. Personally, I don't crash unless someone is using a spot inefficiently or I've been looking for worlds for five minutes. If you're at CT Black Demons and you're not using a combat familiar, I'm going to crash you. If you're at Kalphite Soldiers and you're not using a cannon, I'm going to crash you. If you're at the Giant Mole, I'm going to hop, cause I know that it's very easy to find another world.

Holiday events are always my least favorite times of the year.

It's the second best shield in the game. For a guy who loves boss hunting as much as Blood obviously does, it's a pretty big deal. Out of curiosity, why didn't you buy a divine, Blood? same reason why people would buy rune scim when they cant afford dragon and only have mith I'm nowhere near a divine atm Ah, I see. Is a divine your "ultimate" goal, if you will, or are you happy with the elysian? Sorry for all the questions, but you're basically doing what I want to do in this game, so it's really cool to see your progress.
