Yeah I do try to do that, but its annoying when you hit like 4 0's in a row and have to run back to the dragon you were killing 4 times, especially because you have to right click them. Will try ardougne cape next task, should help. I hate that, too. I try not to have such an itchy trigger finger when I slay, which helps. :wink:

well first of all both are good for slayer but a gs is way better at slayer and coming to this dude at fiends is best not to use a ss or a gs because the zammy spear is way better for killing them and gargs hit alot if you dont have a shield of some kind i am a lvl 135 with 99 def which they always hit me when they att me... so both of you said are not so good ps you dont have you use a dfs or anti dragon shield to kill a dragon if you are useing anti dragon breath pots you can use anything which i have seen alot of zammy spears and the leaf bladed sword at irons and steel which i use my whip and dfs and i tried the zammy spear way and i hit alot better with the spear then my whip This guy must be trolling. 1) A godsword is NEVER the best primary weapon for slayer. It's easily inferior to both the whip and SS. 2) A Saradomin Sword is superior to a Zamorakian Spear at waterfiends. 3) It doesn't matter how much Gargoyles hit if you're slaying in Kuradal's Dungeon. If you're not, you can easily kill them fast enough to where conventional healing methods, such as EE or SGS, should keep you at a reasonable LP level. Soul Split would be even better, of course. 4) Super Antifire potions*. I can't believe you're 130+. Did you PC or SW all of it?

I say do it, especially because Jagex will probably release new bosses soon (entirely speculation, but the Strange Power thing fuels it for me). You can always PK with a maxed combat account, so you'd be getting the best of both worlds, like Miley Cyrus.

How effective is magic against TDs?

Practice, practice, practice. I've been going to TDs with monks and a couple prayer potions trying to get the technique down, and there are a bunch of guides on TIF about lures and such. There are a lot of corp teams on the RSOF who LS, but you wont get into any UBER PRO teams without overloads. I know that they usually just use karil's or black d'hide.

Barrows is not the best way for you to make money. Tormented Demons would probably be a lot more profitable for you, and maybe Corp Beast if you raised your herblore. I know that ancients + salamander is one of the best ways to do it, and I know there's a guide somewhere around here.

I don't think that Elucin8er's example really applies to Runescape, as the warriors and hybrids who look for "honor" fights and expect their opponents not to safe are tier 3 and tier 2 PKers, respectively. Tier 1 PKers (tribrids/switchers) make safing a moot point, as they can dish out way more than 990 damage in just a few seconds (ice barrage > handcannon > AGS spec), and their style of PKing actually requires some skill and tactics. If there were no tribrids, I would totally agree with the comparison. A better comparison to Runescape PKing would be rushers. Rushers sit there with protection prayers waiting for some hapless warrior/hybrid with decent gear to run by. That, to me, is a better comparison to the campers in MW2. For the record, I don't like campers in MW2 either, and I do feel that they legitimately ruin the fun for everyone else.

Red sallies, no question. Yeah, Pawyas aren't good by themselves. Don't bother with them until at least 80, I'd say.

I would consider myself to be a semi-pro BA enthusiast (level five all roles, almost two full sets of penance), and even though level five in attacker and collector isn't necessary, pro teams would prefer that you have level five in all roles. Also, I highly recommend that you get full penance, as it's MUCH MUCH MUCH easier to get good teams.

This is true. Three weeks of straight TzHaar would be pretty mind-numbing, and onyx is used to make the best ring and amulet in the game, so... I guess my point is that, personally, I would just camp.

It's pretty difficult to get a hold of nowadays, but that's only true if you're really lazy. Three weeks at TzHaar and you can get your own.

Fury > Tassets, by far. SS is unequivocally better than a d scim and rune defender, but I would suggest training on controlled with a whip.

B) But seriously, I completely agree with the OP. To me, there are three tiers of PKers: tier 3 is warriors in full rune who expect other people to fight like they do; tier 2 is hybrids who pick on the warriors and better understand that PKing is not about a made-up "honor code"; tier 1 consists of tribrids and switchers who disregard all rules and DOMINATE anyone who isn't fighting like they do. Though I'm not a PKer, it's extremely exciting to see that PKing has finally gotten to this point where people are utilizing all three combat styles equally and using actual SKILL to fight. I'm talking about tribrids, of course. Correct me if I'm wrong, but you tribrid, right Gidion? I figured because you mentioned that you use void, though I know it's not just used by tribrids.

I met a bunch of people who I play with regularly now, and they're teaching me to be a pro defender. :thumbup:
