Case in point: I agree with you that Shattered Hearts and Fish Flingers are beneficial to all levels and are generally good updates, but it doesn't change the fact that Farming ends at 83 and the highest level armor and weapons are level 78 and degradable. You don't have to like my posts, but you can't deny the validity of my concerns. If you're really so bothered by it, simply put me on ignore. As long as you don't go off-topic with another "We need high level content" post on every future update, high or low level. Honestly, for someone like me who's interested in the discussion of the update itself, especially when I'm F2P at the moment, you're not helpful in supplying infomation or thoughts. And I doubt any guest reader who clicked on this thread would be interested in how much you want high level updates, as opposed to what this update actually entails. Nor would they be interested in your constant, useless rebuttals. What exactly are you trying to prove? Report my posts if you feel that my opinions (those being the ones where I think that this update was nice, but not what I wanted) are invalid and unworthy of these forums. Given your stats, you'd probably benefit more from 99 ranged than 86 prayer, but if you do go for prayer, go for 92.

The Champions' Challenge isnt exactly high level content =/ Yeah it's not and it's not something all people will do, because it's not really engaging content its mind numbing killing of monsters that have no advantage of killing them unless you get one from slaying by some odd chance. What a stupid comparison. Dragon plates are completely and utterly useless. If you need defense, use barrows. If you're high enough level to not need as much defense, use Bandos. It's simple. A proselyte top is better and more useful than the dragon platebody in all applicable situations. Do I sense that the OP is feeling buyer's remorse, and is trying to justify himself by making this thread? Resell the plate and buy a real platebody, OP.

I would use an enhanced excalibur at Arma. Unless you're going with the SoL and mage, of course. :wink:

Yeah, why worry about the top 1% who've spent years playing this game? All of my level 90 friends deserve the bulk of the content! I think that high levels do need to have content but it gets on my nerves how people complain about it every week. I don't want to get into the argument though, since I say it every week people's attitudes never change. What gets on my nerves is how the majority of your posts are defending JaGeX. You seem to be almost the only one who thinks JaGeX is doing things properly, where as every single high level disagrees. I don't understand how you don't realize the plethora of low-leveled content that is impossible to do at the low levels specified, is unfair to high levels who's skills end at 80 or quests beatable at 100 combat. High levels deserve high level content every week and SHOULD have it every week. There's also nothing wrong with doing a multi-update giving something to both players, but that doesn't happen. Lep, this is the first time I've ever agreed with you on something. Let's celebrate. Racheya, I don't have any 99's. Please don't make assumptions about me. What Lep is saying is that there's such a huge plethora of low and mid level content that a new player would be busy for well over a year (assuming an average player) before he/she even scraped the high levels . . . but then what? There's not a whole lot to look forward to. Because my levels make me a combat-oriented player, I'm mostly looking forward to high level armor and weapons (and with those, bigger and badder bosses). I'm stoked that Jagex has been finishing (or nearly finishing) a few skills in the past six months or so, but they spent so much time catering to the lower levels that the focus really SHOULD be on higher level players for another six months. No. Holiday items promote elitism and do not accurately represent how long you've played. My account has been around since 2001 and yet I don't have bunny ears, a scythe, a yo-yo, etc. Furthermore, the items make the holiday events seem mandatory rather than just fun distractions from the daily grind. I think it's unfair that newer players are unable to own and have fun with some of the items, namely the easter ring and snow globe (I would add rubber chicken, but I don't have one). It's just a bad system, IMO. In my completely biased opinion, if your account was around during the time of an event, you should be able to own that item. EDIT: As for the events themselves, I think they're nice.

No, it isn't. And even if it were, that would not be a guarantee that you personally will like every week's update. I just tried this D&D and even though I did poorly at it -- didn't know what I was doing -- I thought it was very cool. Much more interesting and a better addition to the game than yet-another-fish-caught-standing-around-like-a-robot. I agree. Building on what I said about wishing that this was an activity, I think it would be even cooler if this was how we actually fished all the time. Gonna stop posting so much now.

The fact that the medals are difficult to get coupled with only being able to play this game a limited number of times a week irritates me. I really wish that this was an activity.

I really wish that this was a minigame rather than a D&D. It looks fun, and the rewards are fairly interesting. It's unfortunate that I don't fish in the fishing guild or Catherby, so I'd have to go out of my way and use slower training methods to be "distracted" into playing this game. Familiarization had a similar problem, IMO. It should just have a set location that we can go to once a week. It'd be a helluva lot more useful. It bothers me that my browser didn't underline 'helluva' with red. EDIT: All of the other updates for today are pretty cool. I'm digging the color changes for the infinity robes and rune guardian.

The best way to get ranks is to play siege, attack the wall, wait five minutes, then cannon your own soldiers. You'll get one rank and tiny bit of reward credits every round (assuming you don't invest). Personally, I use all heavy units and see whether or not I can just attempt to kill everyone at the five minute mark (so as not to disturb the players just trying to suicide for ranks). If you win, you get two ranks, so it's sometimes an easy and kind of fun way to get reward credits. I have no experience with the other types of games.

Being somewhat pro at Slayer, here's some figures: I've spent about 547m from 1-95 Slayer. I slay with PVP armor exclusively. I use miasmic barrage and morrigan's javelins where applicable (abyssal demons, dark beasts, cave bugs, etc). I often switch between Kuradal and Vannaka because I have suspicions that it helps balance out drops. Hope that helps. Also, I highly recommend that you forgo a slayer helm when slaying spectres and dust devils in favor of full Dharok's, as the low health guarantees high hits. I did most of my full Dharok slaying before gravestones.

Have you been boss hunting? Yeah. GWD and TDs are full of arrogant [wagon], but you haven't met a real [bleep] until you've gone to FFA corp. Man, I'd love to hear those stories. A lot of the top BA players are complete [bleep]s, which is somewhat understandable; they do have to deal with hundreds of nine year olds who don't know how to play. Personally, I don't think that skillers or pures are a problem. People set limitations for themselves to see if they can conquer those limitations. Look at Villandra; she has a lot of accounts that she imposed HUGE limitations on. I know a girl who made a level 15 account that's essentially a BA pure. She's on the front page of the healer high scores. She's as nice as they come, and you meet a lot of players like her when you seriously get into BA like I have lately.
