  1. Yeah, I really don't recommend doing any actual dungeoneering till 50. By the way, some DGS keyers will do floors lower than 30.
  2. Could everyone please stop posting and quoting that ridiculous post so the moderator's job is a bit easier? Thanks. If you have a complaint to make you can do so on the DGS forums. This thread is not the place.
  3. Your melee stats aren't high enough to hit on Ahrim sufficiently. You'll have to play by the combat triangle for him.
  4. Using ice spells is perfectly fine. Less efficient for his level, yes, but far from inefficient. OP, bring rune for the tunnels, but otherwise keep the setup you have. Use red d'hide and a magic shortbow for Ahrim.
  5. Eh, I'll try to give you an idea of what to expect/what you'll need, but it'll be difficult for me to put myself in your shoes, so to speak - I use ancients at barrows with maxed gear and levels. Anyway, let's see: The actual fighting will be very straightforward - you just freeze the brother, step away, and kill. I imagine that they'll become unfrozen at least once during the kill, so make sure you put plenty of space between you and the brother (especially Dharok, obviously). I would say you should mage Karil, too (he has no magic level, so very little magic defense as a result). You might want to consider bringing dragonhide and a magic shortbow (rune arrows) for Ahrim. I'm fairly positive you'll hit much better with that than melee, and I believe it's the best ranged weapon available to you. As for gear, your DPS will suffer a lot without one of the magic-boosting necklaces from Dungeoneering. If possible, consider purchasing one. Use mystic boots, not Frem boots. You'll need a LOT of prayer potions - maybe bring five or six per trip?. You should try to stay as long as possible without banking, but I can't see you doing more than two or three chests per trip, reasonably. If you stick to it, you should be able to make a decent amount of money, but it's hard for me to gauge how good it will be at your level. Intuition tells me that you'd be better off doing something else. You know, there are probably tons of guides that will give you better advice than I am. You're pretty much going to be doing barrows the old, traditional way. Check the AOW.
  6. I've always liked the idea of adding permanent upgrades to existing armors, but I think making the upgrades degrade over time would be good, too. Both options give smithing a reason to exist, but the latter keeps people using it as time goes on. The latter would presumably require raw materials, too, so it seems like the best solution to me. I used to have a thread in the suggestions forum, but for both smithing and crafting (as well as a bunch of other skills, but mainly smithing and crafting). It was heavily based on dungeoneering, though, and not really within the scope of the smithing update everyone had in mind.
  7. Testing it without LS/CS is still completely moronic. Once upon a time I was more lenient and understanding when Jagex made mistakes, but it's quite apparent to me that they are truly disconnected from their own game. The ROW is specifically programmed to not work when using LS/CS, so why wouldn't they test it to make sure? It's not exactly a complicated item. They literally had a small handful of things to test, and they failed to do that.
  8. You're giving Jagex way too much credit. They simply neglected to test the ROW on the monsters it'd be used on most. Pure stupidity.
  9. Ma for rings take a week, for Uber cape it could take years. But my point is that you can't say that if you like for example combat, you HAVE to be ablo to get every useful combat item in the game. Herblore benefits combat, firemaking benefits ranged (hand cannon), dungeoneering benefits combat, MA benefits combat. If they released a cape which takes years to get and which has slighly better stats than any other cape, it would be ok. That won't happen though, but dont assume that you have to be able to get all items you want easily. RS seriously needs more extremely high lvl stuff imo. And not just because I have maxed overall, I've thinked like that for years now. Actually I'd prefer 120 or 126 level caps. RuneScape doesn't allways have to be about getting the very best gear and/or the very best stats. All i am saying is that items benefiting archers/mages and warriors should not be beyond extreme to obtain. It should be as hard or harder than Elite diary requirements. But WHY are you saying that when there's no reason to believe that any of these capes will have insane stats? Your argument has no basis whatsoever.
  10. Dread doesn't seem to have much ranged defense, so I usually just hex (though I haven't had dread since the update). But in any case, yes, hex does get a boost from Dread. I don't know why. It's only a small boost, though.
  11. I am just discussing IF the cape has stats you [wagon]. If you wanna join in, and argument for why it will not have stats, i am more than willing to hear you out. But if you wanna tell me to shut up, well you can just [bleep] off. Profound armor (a melee-specific armor set) takes years to obtain, and I don't see you crying about that. There is simply no reason to believe that purely decorative capes will have better bonuses than existing capes, which seems like perfectly valid reasoning to me. In the off-chance that I'm wrong (which I won't be), and the uber cape has better stats than existing capes, it'll be well-deserved. At the very worst, I can see the uber cape having skill cape stats with SW cape prayer bonus (I thought the 120 dungeoneering cape would have those stats when it came out).
  12. If you stopped being a fangirl of Jagex, you'd see that having to get the requirements are beyond extreme. And the cape is for people who have beaten the game you say? How does beating the game have anything to do with better melee stats for a cape? If the cape does not have stats or low stats then great  Because you know why? I will not get it. Because i like Strength, attack and defence, the skills a Warrior class has. That defines my avatar. What does define your avatar? Being a Jagex fangirl? Oh wait, you don't have special skills you like, your just a brainless grinder. Am i wrong though? I don't really care, i refuse to grind just because someone like you think it's a good idea that loads mind killing requirements for a better melee cape is fair. And if you want to give players who have "beaten the game", a reward, give them a decorative cape. And yes, if the cape has great melee stats, i gurantee you that many players will go for it. Including me: Great stats: +8 Strength bonus +12 Prayer bonus +15 Defence bonus +10 attack bonus Would you seriously shut up? NONE of these capes are going to have better stats than existing capes, and I will bet money on that.
  13. That's far too much work for me.
  14. power slaying? http://forum.tip.it/topic/262065-complete-slayer-guide/ Read the section on power-slaying, then go find Zarfot's Mega Slayer Guide if you can.
  15. Well slayer just had a huge boost in profits, so I'd say stick to that (assuming you're power-slaying).
  16. Has nothing to do with sucking. Literally, to not get crashed at Bandos, you need to be maxed. To make money at any GWD boss, you need to be maxed, and then it's sub-par money at best.
  17. Stick with a prom 2h till 89, then you can decide between primal baxe and prom 2h. They both have their advantages, though I would contend that the 2h is slightly better. Aside from those two weapons, the only other upgrade you can make is to a primal 2h (which is unequivocally better than a primal baxe). Very few people know how to use primal rapiers properly, which is why we don't allow them in DGS. They're very useful at 100+, however (binding a prom 2h and a primal rapier).
  18. Just double checking - you should run rapier w/ ddf and claws as a spec weapon? Do people have any real use for EEE? Yes, when slaying you should always use claws (except for mauling wyverns). EEE is great for certain bosses, fight caves, etc. @ OP - Claws have a stab option, yes, but they're far less accurate than rapier + ddef. I'd hesitate to say that claws >>> KS on steel dragons.
  19. I totally didn't see that you got 99 farming. OMFG GRATZ@?@3?@@#@$@#$?@#@
  20. No, claws are easily better for slayer, especially because the ferocious ring adds +40 to each of the four hits. KS possibly comes close on metal dragons, though.
  21. Dragon claws, hands down.
  22. Nice z's in berserker, rs addict much  But yeah, tactician might have even been somewhat good if there were weapons that had two accurate styles(longsword atleast should have been one of them) but because all weapons have one accurate style, it will always(under possibly every circumstance) be inferior to berserker and it's two styles. I like how I spelled it right the first time and went full [developmentally delayed] three times after that. <_<
  23. There's a great arma guide in the AOW that has a duo section.
  24. - Every fifteen seconds. - I don't believe so, but could be wrong. - About 2-3 seconds before the stat restore. - Berserker curse doesn't work on overloads. Other things to note: when your five minutes is about to be up, don't bother soul splitting, eating, brewing, etc past 490 LP, 'cause you'll want to take advantage of the 500 LP restore. EEE works as a great ovl timer. UMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM that's all I can think of.
