Just came from w2, and reds are 119 - 121. (Actually, I didn't see anyone selling for 121 -- lowest seller was 125, and highest buyer was 119 or 120.)

One problem that pures have is that there are certain quest items that they want but you get defense xp for doing the quest. "Questing your defense" means doing a precise selection of quests and getting all of your defense xp from doing those quests so that you have a minimum defense level (usually 40 or 41) with maximum quest benefits to go along with that low defense level.

Don't know if anyone's raised this yet, but urns might be awesome after evil tree -- keep your inventory loaded with urns and hack away when you're in reward mode.

Jagex's RWT detection is such a joke that you hardly need to worry about it anymore. You can just fake it without any effort. How will they ever find out without banning legitimate players? I would never rwt gold though. I'd rather buy a nice lunch instead of a fake, generated money in an online game. A christmas cracker for a $2,000 used car? Hell no. The car itself is 10x the investment than a clustered white pixel that does absolutely nothing. I can't speak to all masks, but red halloweens aren't taking much of a dive. I've been trying to collect several at these bargain prices. I've had some limited success in the 120-125m range (I got 2-3 in that range, but it took between several hours and 1/2 day for each to come in). Most recently, I've had an offer in at mid for more than 24 hours without getting one, so I'm about to bump it up a little.

Btw, my red h'ween just came through at 120m, so that gives you some idea where they are.

That's because there was a crash yesterday and a lot of people were panicking trying to get as much out of their hats as they could. Mostly because just last week purple was not much higher than 600mil at which it was pretty stable. Then a few days later we saw a huge spike in overall partyhat prices with each one going up 100mil+ each day. Once they all hit 1bil+ there were a lot of sellers and people paniced to try and get their cash. As of right now it seems everyone is trying to push hats as high as they can go. A lot of manipulation going on with both ends of the spectrum with people saying, "hats will crash way lower they are way overpriced", as well as, "there is huge demand and partyhats will always rise, they are under-priced". Hats are a lot more chaotic than i thought they would be after free trade, but it is still early after free trade. Who knows what could happen. The beauty of free trade is that manipulation can only go so far before market forces take over. Manipulate them up too high, and sellers can't resist. Manipulate them too low, and buyers jump in.

Masks still seem to be going up. I've had offer in for red at 120m for a long time with no luck. I'm about to move it up a bit. Masks took quite a bath before free trade, so they've had some room to move up.

Perhaps Jagex is trying to discourage pking using chaotics?

It's actually easier now than it was before -- just offer 10x the listed price (which you couldn't do before).

No, don't try to solo it up. I soloed my way to level 65 before giving up. I won't train it again unless I'm part of a team.

Seems there's almost always a rev dark beast there and a couple smaller revs, too.

If ya'll have trouble finding revs, try just east of the air obelisk -- seems revs always are there. Last night I could barely charge my orbs cause I had to keep defending myself. Frankly, I'd appreciate the help.

It's supposed to be a game. This kind of stuff makes it more fun. Well done, Jagex.

Red is still hanging around near max ge. Tons are selling in the ge, which means ge price will rise. The rising ge will eventually force it below mid. You'll get a chance to buy the red back. Right now it's being supported by those who liquidated lowers and are trading up. Not sure how much of that is out there. Right now, it looks to me like the merchers still are selling and stockpiling cash, which I see as a downward indicator.

Would you suggest getting one after free trade comes out? And anyone got any estimates on prices? Why would you buy an edible? Wait for free trade, and see how many halloweens you can get. Maybe even a set? Maybe even a set plus santa?

:wall: I keep telling people it's stupid to buy hats when they get to max and over and over again they come in all "WOOO I BOUGHT X HAT FOR MAX IN GE THANK YOU JAGEX" and then watch in horror as it does exactly what every previous hat has done and crashes to hell. My recommendation is to sell that hat in the GE for whatever you can get in 4 hours before it turns into junk. We still have an entire week until free trade and white has already dropped to being about even with divine (which was a green a few weeks ago). White is already crashing HARD, it just hasn't quite made it to the GE yet. This makes a lot of sense. One problem with the higher partyhats for the next week or so is that there's no massive junk left -- basically the smaller rares is all. So if you want to sell a white, you have to buy some smaller rares to sell with it. But there's very little real money to be made doing that. The minute red hits mid GE, just watch the white owners start selling max GE.

Personally, I see nearly zero chance of any partyhat "rising" until free trade arrives. (Of course, I'm talking "street," not GE price.)

The great thing about free trade is that we don't have to wait forever to find out where a crash will end. These things can crash straight down starting February 1. I expect all hats to continue to crash at least until that time. After that, we'll just have to see. There is some mighty tasty (and useful) armor out there, and some partyhat money may go to that. But one way or the other, we'll all know what partyhats are "really" worth less than two weeks from now. If a blue becomes buyable for 1B, I'd be mighty tempted.

It seems clear that for a while here, partyhats are going to be very buyable. 1B seems to buy a white now -- that was red's price very recently. As long as the lower hats are in freefall, I expect all to follow them down. How far is anyone's guess.

Why would you carry an overload into the wildy? Wouldn't you merely sip, bank, and then go into Wildy?

Because they raise hits to ridiculous levels, as well as being untradeable. Jagex could have solved this by making the new armour actually attainable... Pardon my ignorance, since I don't really pk, and I haven't really studied Jagex's solutions to the new wildy, but hasn't the idea behind taking things into the wildy been based on risk/reward? IOW, you can take some kick-ass item into the wildy if you want, but you might lose it if you die. The user of these pots risks little or nothing, right? But the user of a chaotic would risk losing the weapon, wouldn't he? To my mind, that would be a sounder rationale for the rule than the "you can't see the pot" rationale. Again, my apologies if I got this wrong.

The ironic thing is that the harder the lower phats crash the safer red and up looks as owners of multiple lower hats deperately try to trade up. Right now you can easily get 2 greens for a red, and I'll bet the red owner can add junk. There's a thread right now where a guy is offering to take something like six red masks with a red hat for green and cash. That suggests to me that even if greens dip below their current GE price (and it's not entirely clear that they will), then red will still be worth double green when ft comes. And there's still no real market for white and blue -- those owners don't seem to be selling. Once free trade gets here, I'll bet the white and blue owners will use them to buy out the lower partyhats.
