  1. Athos V (Name + ROMAN NUMERAL :XD: ) Athos = One of the Three Musketeers, a Gigante in Greek mythology, a mage from Fire Emblem. I used Athos for the Gigante's name.
  2. Ack, a quote pyramid >.< I would say that, even if the scamee was warned, being scammed for the first time could be naiveness. If he kept getting scammed, that would mean that he is a fool. Oh, and the 5 year old kid analogy doesn't work that well. 5 year olds aren't that great at making decisions, you know?
  3. Lol. *Rich, dark black Slayer Cape with...a pink skull!!* *Dark, navy-blue Agility Cape with...a white yeti!!* *Sees the hand on the Strength Cape pop out and punch the 3d shield off of the Defence Cape* I guess the icons could work in the menu, even though I don't like the overly-3D ones, but on the capes.... :-X
  4. Dude, that guy's belief is totally different from Christianity. In Christianity, there's only one way to get to heaven: 1. God sent Jesus to die for sins 2. John 3:18 - Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God's one and only Son. So what that warren guy said isn't Christianity. Please learn what you're talking about before you decide to be a critic, otherwise, you fall into the stereotype of the ignorant anti-Christian atheist.
  5. If my spit consistency is right, I can blow spit bubbles off my tongue. Ftw I can also blow into my cupped hands to make whistling sounds. Oh, and I can clap my hands together to produce squeaky fartlike sounds.
  6. Ack, people. Could you maybe quote without the pyramids? Reading this topic gets hard. Oh, and could somebody show me a good argument against the natural-selection-wouldn't-have-made-flagellum thing? Warri0r, wasn't that bacteria thing just microevolution (which Christians aknowledge)? Oh, btw, the Bible says: (Genesis 2) "the LORD God formed the man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being." I think that's where the guy is getting his "people weren't monkeys" thing from. Is the cyclic universe the same thing as oscillating theory? InfernalZ, play on words doesn't equal discussion. The story of 9/11 would be connotative of a narrative, for example, not fiction. Korskin, I think that evolution doesn't fit with Genesis. Didn't life in evolution: 1. start in water, 2. move to land, 3. adjust and become terrestrial? In Genesis, plant life starts on land, both fish and birds appear, then the land creatures come. Isn't that different? If you're looking for scientific proof, then good luck. Science doesn't cover spiritual stuff because it's not observable with the 5 senses. But: (Genesis 2) "The LORD God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it. And the LORD God commanded the man, "You are free to eat from any tree in the garden; but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat of it you will surely die." They get a choice here, see? In the beginning, that was the only choice to disobey, but it was there, and they got to choose, ya know?
  7. As far as my obsessive-quest-item-collecting-research knows, no.
  8. "Oh mighty Saradomin, I pray that you grant me the strength to fell these trees more quickly that I may be able to boast of your glory in armor trimmed in your colors" *gets struck down by lightning for bugging him* Yeah, I don't see how this would work. The only viable way to execute this would be to have altars by the places, but that would kind of speed up the whole supply output by people...hmm.
  9. Walk up the spiraling ice path up the mountain?
  10. Do you bury the bones? If so, go slay some hordes of wee-little Baby Blue Dragons in Taverly
  11. The King Black Dragon Will gobble up your armor Then wait for more noobs Haiku!!
  12. ^ Yeah, or it's at least very, very strongly implied. So yes. Poor dude. :?
  13. It's not that hard to get halfway, really. All you really need is standard range junk. You can even get away with melee in the first few waves since you don't need to conserve prayer like crazy. I did it with like 4 prayer pots and an inventory of monks.
  14. ^ Possibly. The problem that people (not me personally) have with it is that it changes the definition of "day". Considering that Creationists are called "nitpickers" for something similar, that's pretty funny. Good point though. Maybe He really did make Earth, then went back and made light and stuff.
  15. Yeah, I agree. The problem is that weaknesses (crush, stab, slash) seem to matter so little that it's only about damage/min, which the fast stuff owns at. If only the bonuses could be upped...
  16. Hmm. It looks cleaner, but it's kind of like a change from 21st century to chrome. It's kind of a shock when you see it at first. I think it will help clean chat though, so that's good. Very nice: 10/10
  17. ^ Is there a fundamentalist label or something? I was trying to get you to see what I saw as a problem in the discussion. Ok, Rebdragon, I think I see what you're trying to get across. You're saying that FACT is like 99.9999% probably correct but there's a wee little chance that it might even be false and there's some other crazy thing that actually explains the whole thing, right? I think I've heard of this thing before when my math teacher jokingly said that maybe math is all false and we'll discover a new system of math one day. Yeah, I agree with the "Earth-isn't-6000-years-old" thing and some other things. The literal creation thing could be possible with an all-powerful God, as I think you've understood. As for the evolution thing, I need to catch up with the debate :?. Umm...ok. I still have a ton of the thread to slog through, so I could've misunderstood.
  18. I UNDERSTAND that Evolution is considered FACT. What I'm getting at is that it's simply not concrete; that it isn't actually indisputable. Yes, I'm saying that I DON'T think it's Fact. Definition of FACT: 1. something that actually exists; reality; truth: Your fears have no basis in fact. 2. something known to exist or to have happened: Space travel is now a fact. 3. a truth known by actual experience or observation; something known to be true 4. something said to be true or supposed to have happened "Biologists consider the existence of biological evolution to be a fact. It can be demonstrated today and the historical evidence for its occurrence in the past is overwhelming. However, biologists readily admit that they are less certain of the exact mechanism of evolution; there are several theories of the mechanism of evolution." I've heard the same from Creationism. The Bible, considered to be FACT, is used to then move on to the HOW of creation. "Moreover, 'fact' doesn't mean 'absolute certainty'; there ain't no such animal in an exciting and complex world. " How can it not be absolute if it's FACT? It doesn't make sense. FACT = not absolute? Evolutionists make no claim for perpetual truth, though creationists often do (and then attack us falsely for a style of argument that they themselves favor). Really...making no claim for perpetual truth while calling Evolution a FACT? You seem to be calling FACT an TRUTH; something undisputable. Your source seems to say otherwise about that, unless it's making a new definition for FACT, which means that it's being hypocritical. Correct me if I made an error, and don't get overemotional please.
  19. Sorry for not continuing on the discussion guys, but I see a problem with the nature of the whole discussion. As somebody pointed out earlier, "Sometimes people should stop trying to apply logic to things which are miracles in the first place. Not everything can be explained." The thing is, assuming that Christianity is right, there were (and maybe are) supernatural events. Since science is "the systematic knowledge of the physical or material world gained through observation and experimentation" (dictionary.com), it can't really account for supernatural things because it's not a part of the systematic natural world. To summarize, Christianity is neither provable nor disprovable by science because of its outside-of-nature nature. Assuming that Atheism and Evolution are true, however, everything is still debatable and not totally concrete (as a lot of you have been mentioning, at least in the early pages)....and I'm not sure where I want to go with this. I lost my train of thought in the middle of writing this :? It's like a big, neverending circle of doom... Oh, and don't flame me for this. I'm just trying to point out something that I think I'm seeing. *holds up Anti-dragonfire shield*
  20. Here's the answer. It has spoilers (for all of you that don't need spoilers) [hide] This was near the end, correct? Harry was in Snape's memory, which he had recieved shortly before Snape died. The event you're talking about was waaaaaay long ago. Read what Dumbledore said again, because I'm too lazy to go back and quote it, but he was talking about how Snape loved Lily Evans, even after all that time. [/hide]
  21. It costs 60k to get back. It's like a Rune Full Helm with 6 crush attack bonus. If you like the look of it or the stats, clean your bank. Otherwise, high alch it.
  22. Like 40 watermelons from one patch. I was ecstatic =) And like 12 Herbs. I don't remember what it was
  23. I agree with the article. I've always dreamed of a darker side to RuneScape ever since I noticed that there was no challenge. I suppose that's why I like Morytania. Maaan, I wish RuneScape had a harder, more dangerous, more EEEEVIL place.
  24. I was just addressing that the player mod reports actually have a purpose. The quote that I put in was a way that people like to nag as though player mods are supposed to be robotically perfect and polite.
  25. The thing is, the Moddy reports seem to be handled seperately. Because moderators are picked partially on how good and relevant their reporting is, the whole setup amounts to good reports getting dealt with faster. Oh, and don't ever bug/nag a player mod to do something: "I got hacked. Hlp plz" "I can't. I don't have any power to. I'm just a player" "Your a bad mod" "Mod. Go report [person]. He's [breaking rules]" "How you become mod?" 100x a day "Mods aren't allowed to say noob" "Mods should be nice." Geez. It's not like mods are robots. Oh, and these are all pulled from what I've seen people saying.
