  1. This is what happens when people believe in subjective truth (which would include ethics). Hooray for universal ethics, or absolute truth. I agree with the "Thou shall treat thy neighbor as thou wouldst desire to be treated" thing, but you can't be unreasonable about it. Using the Blue Drags as an example, I would say that you could just share the stupid spot. After all, those other hoppers deserve a spot too. It's common courtesy.
  2. Hey Horseathlete!! I've seen you around!! HYT!! I like to skill because skilling makes me a better, more independent person. I don't need to tie myself to the economy to do stuff like fletch and alch. Also, it's better for my money.
  3. Meh, I don't know. MAYBE, just MAYBE it was how you think it was in those two situations, but I'll admit that girls do get more favorable treatment (as well as worse treatment sometimes) because I experimented with making my character into a girl for a while :D. Sure there are idiots and noobs and whatnot, but from all my observations, the good and ok people are just quieter
  4. I see a problem that nobody has seemed to have addressed. There seems to be no real sense of family in that family. In a good, loving family, there has to be LOVE, and everything that follows from it like caring, sharing, communicating, support, DISCIPLINE, etc. Now, if the parents had been loving enough to actually take some apparently-lacking concern to their child, maybe they could've helped him. Also, the kid might have been able to seek support from his parents if they had been loving. Instead of that ideal happening though, it looks like there was no love in the family that allowed for any of those good things that lets parents get along and raise a child and lets the child confide in his or her parents. I take this view from my own household experiences from the viewpoint of a former kid and current teenager.
  5. You don't need to keep the lower ones unless you really want to (like me). Incase you ever feel like getting all of them back though, you might want to keep the Bronze Defender
  6. ^ Well, they're not called crude words for nothing. If you're not a crude person, I do not see any reason for you to use profanity. However, I agree that terms themselves, such as homosexual, can be used without harm. The problem that I have with this whole thing is this: There are no really good reasons to fill the game with cussing and doing so will detract from the already declining environment. Seriously, there are complaints about people being noob, scammers, autoers, etc. with all the scum, so what will happen when the filter is removed? Cussing will be abundant and so whatever quality and innocence people percieve in the community will be really diminished. And about the "kids will hear it later anyways": So what? Does that mean that it's ok for them to hear it EARLIER? Newer generations are constantly observed as getting worse, and I don't think letting kids hear cussing will help. They should be kept innocent.
  7. ^ And if people use CRUDE expressions to express themselves, it kind of says something about them, right? So who's correct here?
  8. So you call this maturity then? That's the impression I'm getting here And to the above post: So you want to push the kids out so you can get some crude expressions out? I see no justification in that, really.
  9. Exactly my view. I don't understand something here. Why do you people WANT those words? What does it do for you? Seriously.
  10. Some guy at rock crabs x-logged when his mom came in the room or something ...and then the Drunken Dwarf came: Obby Shield, Rune Boots, Glory, etc.
  11. Oh, that's cool then. You've done your own research :) Nice guide. Hope the range guide's good, since I want to train range while going for those boots to complete by boot collection
  12. I have a question about those Addy Boots: Do you know from experience whether the frogs drop them or not, or did you pull that off a Bestiary? I ask this because different sites give different information about that. Thanks
  13. I went in Mage/Monk Robe gear, Earth Striked with chaos gloves, and binded/snared him on his second form. Hope that helps.
  14. NOOOOOOOOOO!!! I've been going at them in Veracs for forever now, just to get some stupid Granite Legs, but noooooo!! They have to make them STRONGER. Pfft -.-
  15. Hi. I've been getting conflicting info from different fansites about whether the Giant Frogs (lvl 99) drop Addy Boots or not. Could somebody help answer whether they do or not from their own experience?
  16. That's...awesome. Man, that would be such a great holiday weapon (especially if it came with that much power)
  17. It's worth it. 5% is a couple lvls' worth of difference. Yes, it's difficult. You might want Barrows or Prayer, and plenty of food for either option. For the boss, make sure you have good Defence, and you only need to kill Tarn before going onto the next room. Watch for little waterfall things while you go through the maze to guide you, and always search for traps.
  18. I'm guessing you didn't pay attention in the quest then. They took boats that were stationed in either Miscellania or Etcetera to go to the trolls.
  19. While I was in that general area, I saw some longboats that were probably the ones in the Fremennik Isles quest. I think those boats were the transports for the warriors that took on the trolls.
  20. That sounds just like me, except that I'm pretty well-off in my view
  21. If you keep it, that's fine. If you return it, you're generous. -My philosophy on these things
  22. In Grim Tales, will I be able to use an Axeman's Folly instead of having to have 71 Wc? Thanks
