  1. Wow there are a ton of contradictions in that one short post. Facsism and democracy are like polar opposites man. Democracy doesn't mean free speech, it means government by the people.
  2. Time isn't dependent on change. Change is dependent on time. Since change happens, so does time. If time didn't exist, you wouldn't age. But you do age, because time is passing.
  3. I personally loved Stadium Arcadium, it's rare that I can listen to an entire album without skipping a song, and the fact that it's a double album is just incredible. But I wouldn't want another album like it, and that's half because I don't think I could stomach all the haters screaming "SELLOUTS!" By the Way is my favorite album. It's the softest, but it's just so good. I do dislike "Universally Speaking" though. I skip that one. But "Can't Stop" is my favorite song of all time. If they could go back to the style of Californication without John's impaired guitar playing (from his addictions), that is something I would want to hear for a new album. They will never revisit One Hot Minute. It's an underrated album, but the band refuses to play any of those songs in concert or really talk about that era at all. Plus they didn't have John. Blood Sugar Sex Magik is amazing, and I would love to see some funk predominant in a new album. And earlier than that (Mother's Milk, Mofo, Freaky Styley, RHCP) I'm not particularly a fan of and neither, I believe, are the band. Although Mother's Milk has it's moments. But most likely they'll surprise us all, and I have complete faith that whatever the tenth album turns out to be it won't disappoint.
  4. Yes it can, and the game only might have been for the better, there have been many reports of faulty new guitars. Ignore the bashers. WT has its faults, but it can sound like it's the worst game of the year when some people tell it . . . In my personal experience, nothing has gone wrong with the hardware. Let me repeat: NOTHING. The touch pad is a bit too sensitive and will start overstrumming you if so much as a piece of hair lands on it (my dog lives in my basement, the hair is unbelievable). But you can turn that off if keeping it clean somehow fails. Deisel's red pad on the drum set stopped working while I was playing, but it doesn't seem to be a common occurrence*. I don't know how many times I have to say this, but Band Play is fine as long as you don't use hyperspeed. It would probably do you some good to play at normal speed every once in a while if you're reliant on hyperspeed. The display is all in the upper left and that can be annoying if your board is all the way on the right. The single player is just as good as other installments, though the way the carreer is laid out can get annoying until you've beaten every song and it stops sending you straight to the lowest incomplete set. No, there are no ridiculously hard songs, but there IS a good amount of challenge. I still haven't gotten to trying out the music studio and have done vocals exactly once, so I haven't even explored all the content yet. Plus I'll be working up to Expert on drums. All in all, it's a good game and people need to stop bashing it to death. There is not that much there to bash. And if you like Rock Band better, GO PLAY ROCK BAND. *No, multiple complaints on ScoreHero do not make it a common occurence. For everyone who complains, there are probably thousands more not complaining because they're busy PLAYING.
  5. I have played neither chart, but after watching a vid of each... the only time WT's chart has less notes than RB's chart is the blue holds, which *could* be charted as blue holds without being untrue to the song (though generally trills are only charted as holds on lower difficulties - see Raining Blood on medium or easy). The main difference is that Rock Band makes most of the main bit into HOPOs while WT does not... there are no less notes, you were just strumming too fast. The blue holds were the only places with less notes :| Yeah . . . actually the WT chart is harder. There are less notes in the pre-verse 1 part in the RB chart, and the breakdown section is way easier. The "lalala" part in WT has chords and stuff instead of just hammer-ons for one of the riff parts. It's not under charted in WT at all :\ I've only 4-starred it myself.

The problem I have with the concept is that I just can't bring myself to squander a good idea on something that will turn out to be pretty much crap below the standard of even dime novels. And it's not worth writing at all if I'm not going to put time and effort into developing an idea that has potential.

Anyone who finshes their novel by the deadline is a winner and they're all displayed. Needless to say none are of great quality, since it's basically a hand-cramping ink-flying scribblefest. Only typed. Which isn't my cup of tea to be honest. I'm too much of a perfectionist to fly through something like that with no deliberating or editing. And there's no way in hell I have the time any more.
  8. WT Band Play is fine, just don't turn on hyperspeed. RB wins in the DLC, but I would wait to see what WT comes up with before making a decision based on that. FC'ed Float On today, if anyone cares. Why are all of my favorite songs really easy?
  9. Passed Satch Boogie after having to redo the entire set 'cuz I forgot to save. Pull Me Under is booooring. Extremely easy for 9/10 of the song, which is way too long anyway, and the random solos that pop up for five seconds are pretty easy as well. Just fast. Hot For Teacher I found somewhat challenging, if only because I couldn't pin the rhythm down.

Here's a list of historically banned books from around the world: http://title.forbiddenlibrary.com/ I also got a short list as a handout in English class last year. No clue what happened to it. Anyway, banning books is ridiculous and rather amusing. I like the quote from that website about the banning of the Canterbury Tales. "Chaucer would be amused."
  11. WT has some really wierd charts, to be sure. I swear Santeria's solo is way overcharted. And Ramblin' Man is either massively undercharted or the RB chart is overcharted, I can't decide. WT feels a bit more accurate, but w/e.
  12. Lol, five-starred everything in the Satch Boogie set except Weapon of Choice, which has some really annoying green sustain + orange notes (and then other notes) and Satch Boogie, which I failed on just short of the end of solo F. The really really long slide section. Yeah. I actually used the touch pad on it, and it's a lot easier doing it that way.
  13. Speaking of LOST, that show is beautiful. In every way. The art direction and photography are stunning, and the characters are great and the biggest reason that I love the show so much. Amazing actors playing some amazing characters. But it does move slow
  14. Yeah, with Trapped Under Ice and Scream Aim Fire and Overkill and BYOB and whatever else. It's the strumming patterns that kill me on sightreads. I think I 4-starred TUI and maybe Overkill. The final final set I think is easier to 5-star. Pull Me Under is boring as hell for the most part, and throws in some fast solos every two minutes. I was screwing up massively on the intro to Never To Late during band play, so I haven't seen the rest of the chart. Love Spreads is just really easy. And I forget the others (besides SB.) Oh, and taking off hyperspeed makes band play 1000x easier.

We didn't know that Mrs. Petrelli even had a power. But her power is to see the future through dreams, which happened to Peter before he met Isaac. Isaac's power is to paint the future, which Peter never did until he met him. I think the first time he does this is when he draws himself waking on air when he was in the hospital after he jumped off the roof the first time.
  16. Hot for Teacher took me a few tries to pass on guitar. The slide intro is pretty insane. I have no idea how I'll make it through Satch Boogie, which is basically the HfT intro x5. Actually I think I do. Wild tapping ftw. I love those slide sections, but I never use the touch pad for them. The normal buttons work just as well, and I can't figure out how to slide on the pad effectively so I don't use it. But it's great that you don't even have to strum the first note to get a combo going. Demolition Man has some pretty sweet slide trills. Oh, and I five-starred Re-Education (Through Labor) but none of the other songs in that set  That is going to be a challenge.
  17. Dude be cool. I don't actually have any drugs. Does the expression "high on anything but drugs" ring a bell? As in, high on playing?
  18. Haven't tried bass or singing yet lol. I'm hesitant to sing in front of my family. I'll save that for tomorrow. I think I'll go check that bass out . . . Please don't use any references to illegal drugs ~DarkDude98

That's not how Peter's powers work, otherwise he would have gotten all of Sylar's powers also during the first two seasons but he never did. Actually I think he did. He got telekenesis from him at least.
  20. Yeah, my guitar is overstrumming like hell :? I've failed a song by just sitting there wating for it to start while the damn strum bar clicks away. I can get to work temporarily, but it keeps coming back. Other than that, though, I've found no issue with the hardware. The drums are fine and fun to play, though since I've only played RB drums like once I'm on medium. For now. Band play is frikkin impossible though. Darkdude is right, even on just hyperspeed 1 it's impossible to see the notes until they're right in your face. I failed on No Sleep Till Brooklyn. I guess I'll have to go back to regular speed and see if that makes it any easier. It probably will. Gripes aside, I'm having fun with it. I've already FC'ed Today and What I've Done (never have to play that song again!) and haven't missed a five star yet. While the song list isn't the strongest, I haven't run into one that I dislike besides What I've Done. The slide sections are cool, though I've been playing them on the regular frets since I'm not used to switching to the touchpad. So I can't offer an opinion about that feature yet. The other ones, like multiple sustains and stuff, are nifty and not hard to get used to.
  21. Got it. Epic win. Going to bed now since I have to be up at six, but I opened it at least. The guitar is sexy as hell.
  22. I have issues with GH3's two-player fretboard being too short. I guess I'll have to get used to it. Of course, that could also arise from being used to playing on a huge flat screen all for my one fretboard.
  23. So, I think I'm going to head to a local plaza with a few 24 hour stores and try my luck at midnight. The one I have in mind I managed to get Deathly Hallows at without a preorder and at about 11 in the morning, so I don't think I should have a problem. I'm probably going to end up breaking the curfew for teen drivers, but the risk is totally worth it. If I somehow don't get it there, I'll hit all the other stores as they open. Yeah, I have a plan.
  24. K then. That's why we turn to you. It is still rather disturbing that he justifies wanting to have sex with "I'm bored." Yeah, kid, find something else to do with your time. Not to sound condescending or anything but I highly doubt you're anywhere near as mature as you think you are, because face it you're a biased judge. You don't have the life experience to make that sort of judgment about yourself. And those amazing grades? Watch them plummet as you spend your nights screwing and not getting enough sleep/doing homework. That great bod? . . . yeah, you know what I mean. [/scare tactic]
