  1. With Minish Cap and Link's Awakening on emulator, I have now played every Zelda game except Phantom Hourglass. I don't understand why people bag on TP so much, it was a great game. It's a bit more linear than the others, but it's HUGE, so it makes up for it. The comparisons to OoT didn't spring out of nowhere. And I found it funny to see people loving WW when that one came under fire, though I really enjoyed it. As for a favorite, it's hard to choose. I'm leaning towards Oracle of Seasons for the handheld and Wind Waker for the consoles, though. Ocarina of Time just doesn't feel right for the top spot, Majora's Mask and A Link to the Past were just too ridiculously hard, Twilight Princess was annoying when you were stuck as a wolf for long periods of time, Zelda 2 was weird and next to impossible besides, and the original has simply been outdone.

Haven't read it yet, but I've read a pretty good chapter-by-chapter summary. From what I can tell, it's better than Eldest, maybe as good as Eragon. Which means it still blows. Be prepared for another 500 pages of nothing and 200 pages of thinly stretched plot development. And massive disappointments. It's like Eldest that way, though judging from the excerpts in the aforementioned summary the prose is slightly less purple. Also has some major wtf moments.
  3. Wouldn't that make all blind people genii?
  4. I doubt it. Truly, a teenage forum-goer is more fit to be VP of a powerful nation than the governor of Alaska. Why didn't we think of it before? Actually, anon should be our next president. In the information age, we need someone(s) with uber internet skills.
  5. Maybe we can actually make something original out of this thread and nominate TIFers for superlatives. You know, most likely to . . . It would be a deal more fun than putting the same names over and over again into the same boring categories. Examples off the top of my head: Most likely to shred your face off with a plastic guitar: SaidinWoT Most likely to say something sucks: AdioLovesSquall Most likely to win the Nobel Prize: warri0r Just be creative.
  6. If you look into a scattering of water droplets or some similar reflected light and sort of unfocus your eyes, you can see little spidery threads in the reflection. They look like they all connect behind the relfection. I used to dream that there was some sort of other world in there. I'm sure there were many more things like this, mostly inspired by Rugrats, but I've forgotten them. Light and heat given off by combustion. I think.

Red Hot Chili Peppers. 0oEX35Ypx8I Kickass concert in its entirety.
  8. The 'r' is rolled, not pronounced as a 'd.' If you are not pronouncing them with a roll of the tongue it's a mispronunciation.

Oh, I see. Wait until we're not in a class together any more to pull that one. [/hide] Dude I did pull that one when we were in the same class (probably somewhere in the middle of a Yaff fight). I've always told you I thought you'd look better with a shorter cut. Sorry if it seems like a low blow, but I still stand by that opinion. Ladies, for reference though, he does keep his hair nice and clean. I just think it'd be better shorta :P. Ah. Well. Thanks for the vouch :P [/dodge] I've actually been meaning to get it cut for a while now, I'm just too lazy. I usually don't like to have it longer than the shoulder. Of course, it's still longish after I cut it . . .
  10. ^Totally unrelated, but I know exactly where your sig is from. The song is awesome and the video is hilarious.
  11. Your Xbox melted from prolonged exposure to sheer awesomeness.
  12. What does this have to do with the topic? Regardless, año and ano have two distinct pronunciations, perro means "dog," not specifically [bleep], and r's and d's are not pronounced the same.

  14. I know someone who tries to make a sexual innuendo out of everything you say. It's actually funnier when he fails. "I peeled a potato." "Your mom . . . peeled . . . potato . . ." ". . . No."

You can't hide behind "it's fiction so I can do whatever I want." Yes, it is fiction, but there has been no indication that it is fantasy. Therefore you must adhere to the rules and history of our world. I don't understand the "it's set in our world at the moment" comment either. What, in paragraphs to come space-time will suddenly warp and all of a sudden it's a fantasy world? Unless it is actually a fantasy world that is similar to ours, that doesn't make sense. But it can't be a fantasy world, because you just said it's ours.

New paragraph every time a new person speaks. "Ancestor" should be "descendant." If this is set our world, our time, as it seems to be, a female warrior in the distant past is highly unlikely. You should know all about the women's rights movement, less than a century ago. Long long ago, women were wives and childbearers, nothing more, sometimes less. A female warrior in those times throws off the believability of a story that otherwise does not require a suspension of disbelief, as nothing so far indicates that it is set anwhere but Earth, 2008.
  17. Ahh, I had a -1 on that song yesterday, missed the LAST hammer-on in the solo, when I moved too fast and only got the blue note and not the yellow that it [garden tool]'s from >.<
  18. They already said that they are going to. Only be able to have 5 songs or so at once though which makes it worthless Use an SD card. Problem solved. Space saved for whatever else you want to use it for, like VC.
  19. Specimen: Flamebait Status: Deceased Properties: None confirmed, though has been known to inflame and irritate upon ingestion.

I was going to just leave this thread float in its little happy land of unsubtle pickups and prancing unicorns, but I am just fed up with it. I don't give a crap that you are oh so busy with your omigodsofrikkinmuch algebra homework. This is not a blog. If you want to post a story, post a damn story. This topic is five pages long and maybe eight posts worth of actual meager writing. Stop giving us daily updates about your amazing, intellectually and socially awesome life and get on with it. And I don't want to hear about Bluejay's armada of idiotic chatspeak planes either. Before I say anything regarding the actual merit of the story, show me that you really are in advanced classes and fix the use of the word "instilled."
  21. And the in-game store on IV has been confirmed to have more regular releases, including full albums, and you can buy whatever you want. Whatever, so maybe galore wasn't the best word, don't [bleep] about it. I like RB's setlist too. The are both pretty equal IMO, sharing the songs that I truly like -- minus the aforementioned Rage and Chilis -- and while RB has those, it also has some truly crappy songs too.
  22. Seriously?! I liked the rumored set list waaaaaayyyy more than this, although I see some of the same stuff, it isn't really...That good. If it's nearly the same thing, then I'm blind, but honestly... Thats too bad. A great game should have many great songs. I'd prefer something like Avenged Sevenfold over Coldplay, whom I LOATH. Bleh. Honestly... Are you kidding? That list is [bleep]ing amazing. Sure, it has a few duds, and I'm bummed about no RHCP or RATM (!) but you can't have it all. It's still a great list. Anyway, the game will have DLC galore if GHIII is any indication.
  23. Time for a Saidin-style update . . . [hide=Hit Me With Your Best Shot FC][/hide] [hide=Talk Dirty to Me FC][/hide] [hide=Bulls On Parade 100%][/hide] ^Accidentally overstrummed while whammying #-o [hide=Anarchy In the UK FC][/hide] 15 FCs total now, plus the Bulls On Parade 100%, which I will have to redux sometime. TTFAF is really starting to piss me off. I had 215k at the beginning of Synth Death, which was amazing for me and would have put me damn near, possibly past 400k if I had passed the solos, but I seem to be getting worse at them as I get better at the rest of the song
  24. He's at a concert at the moment, so don't expect a reply soon. That pic is actually a sort of private joke, and he made it himself. I think he just wanted an excuse to post it. He is also seventeen and knows considerably more about music than I do. --- To respond to what you said about Rage earlier, I actually couldn't recall there even being a solo in KITN. Now I can play it all the way through in my head o_0. PS: Mlb, excuse the crude use of tired internet memes, but you fail harder than just about anything. Not epically, as that implies greatness, just pure unadulterated fail.
  25. Has no one studied Lockean theory? Guess not. Egalitarianism has pretty much destroyed any chance of monarchies, dictatorships, oligarchies, etc. working any longer. It also makes anarchy impossible, so we are left with the middle ground, the current systems of government that dominate the western world.
